Some of the UI for the game!
I also began to change a bit the Amplio Monoambiente en Palermo apartment between coding stuff.
and of course the most effort went to the painting of Miku Christ

ANd talking about coding, now there are other things to do in the game apart from walking, running and changing clothes, now it is possible to
yep
this is a way to get a waypoint for some seconds to show where the end of the first level is, or as I like to say, to let the Lord show the way.

what am i doing with my life-
ANYWay
The game is basically three minigames, although the first two are a bit hard.
First stage is inside, in a backroomesque enviroment where enemies fellow colleagues keep spawning and by accumulating points, finding different items and interacting with certain npcs it will go from utterly overwhelming to completing the stage.
The second is outside but still inside Vatican walls, like the gardens and the outside of buildings. This stage will change the 3D exploring for a platformer type of game, but still in a 3D style (I'm not going to waste all the animations and clothes). Here it will be a bit more of the collecting new skills, getting new items, but most importantly finding npcs to continue their stories from the previous stage.
And finally the third stage, that is more of a making something for the jajas, as technically at this point the whole sneaking out part of this, basically the core of the game, is over. Sooo... Short minigame, I was thinking either a reskin of subway surfers because funny, or like that racing minigame from club penguin because i really miss that game, or maybe something else.

also I kinda forgot to add the zucchetto when i was modeling, so i just added a squished ball inside unreal, kinda ruining his low poly vibe, but with the effects it isn´t noticeable. I should fix it, but why fix what is not broken

Old ass graphics for old ass men <3
the help Vincent escape the backrooms Vatican game!
maybe three maps (indoors, outdoors and the streets of Rome)
Procedural maps to make it more difficult :D
Grab items to get new abilities (ex: being able to run), or get enough points from failed runs to unlock them.
Get disguises to make it easier and to make the NPCs have different reactions.
Find the lost copy of Undertale (not sure how it would help)
Get allies and help around to get new ways to escape.
Maybe romanc- (dies)
If somebody wants to help (with like writing, drawing sprites, play testing, modelling or with coding) pls dm me, I think as this is such a small game (literally started this like ten days ago) the core mechanics are mostly done. What is lacking is making the environment not so backrooms-y, giving the UI a more retro feel, having dialogues that are not 0101 0102 0103, and having more sounds than the espresso machine (only sound file in the whole game)... SO let's say not that much stuff (it´s a lot of stuff)

Tyalië Myatil alpha 0.5.0 released!
Again, this is like an alpha, super barebones, pls don´t play it if you expect a lot of content, kind of release.
I uploaded it so I can get some feedback on what would be cool to include, minigames that would be fun, what storyline should i make first.

hey, is somebody, like, up to make this game?
I have been thinking about this concept all night and it wouldn't be too hard to make with a small team, right?
anyway have Vincent escaping the backrooms procedural made Vatican halls (his clothes are still a wip, but imagine if you could get like a tourist shirt and hat and it increased your stealth score)
I must admit, when it comes to Conclave based video games, I’m rather taken with the idea of a rogue-like, where you play as Vincent trying to escape the Vatican to have a night off in Rome

Now with all the arrow keys! Now I have to make sprites for the arrows and done!
(I didn't have a crisis while trying to understand how the fuck did this work after not touching it since august, of course I understand my own code)
Update 0.4.0
Maglor's rhythm mini game and more!
SO with this update is the same as always: redid some work, took me a lot of time, and everything looks the same, although I know there is so much more now...
Let´s start with the big thing of this update...
Maglor's mini game!
For some time now I decided I wanted to add a mechanic in the game so the player will be able to play an instrument to get through different obstacles. For now that is not done, but I have already added how the player can level up their... song level?
Depending on where the player decides to go next in the game they will get different characters to teach them, but the first one is Maglor.
For now, as it is the first level it is only one track were the player uses the up arrow key to hit the notes, but in future levels there will be multiple tracks to use the other arrow keys, or maybe use other keys.
Of course as with everything else the UI is not the final one, this was done for testing... Although I spent some time making these little guys.
Also now there is more music in the game, with a placeholder song in the main menu and different songs that play on the Formenos level.
And now the player character has footsteps' sounds that change according to the type of surface they are stepping.
In the more invisible part of the update now all what the player writes it's saved if they go to another level, and also the facts they learn do not respawn when the level is reloaded if they learnt them before.
Also, technically I redid the whole "writing down" thing as I added different objects that the player can interact with, and as "writing" in the code of the game is basically the same i just mashed everything.
So now Tecilwë can rest their leggies :D
I began to make new assets for the game. Here is an example with objects for Feanor's Forge:
And well, I also made a model for a swan ship and... well...
Things got a bit wild...

Update 0.5.0
Create your elf!
It is finally done! The character creator!
The UI will change in the future, but for now this is it.
First there is the big red menu in the right side, there are like all the major customization options in the head, hair and clothes menus.
In the head menu there are options to change all (or almost all) facial characteristics of the character. It is possible to change eyes, nose, mouth and the shape of the head. Here I basically took the list of sliders from the Sims 3 and added almost all of them, except for some that didn´t change much. I'll add the rest in later updates, as this is like first version of this.
Then there are the options for hair and clothes. For now there are three hairstyles and two outfits, as it's easy to add more in the future, so I just added what I needed for testing.
Also, for everything, be it eyes, skin, hair or each part of the outfits there are color wheels, so the options in this matter are limitless. And when i add skin details and maybe gradients for the hair (again, future update) it will be even better.
Now, on the other side of the screen there are other options for the character.
On the bottom there is the option to choose both a father and mother name. This option for now doesn´t change a lot in the game, just an UI for testing, but in the future with the development of more dialogue and quests it will be used. For both names there is a randomizer in case no one comes to mind.
Then in the top there is the option of choosing where to go. Depending on this choice is to which host the character will be part of. For now there is only the option to go to Formenos. This is for no reason to make this easier to me, so I don't have to take into consideration variables from Finwë's entire family tree, no no... Umm, the character just graduated from Rumil School and only has money to move to one place. Yes, no other reason...
So let´s make an example (and yes, now there is a zoom in/out, and rotation of the character)
Here we have Calime Silindiel and...
YESSSS IT WORKS! Calime loads in all the maps!
And but wait, I need to go touch some grass, I need to close the game...
THERE IS A SAVE OPTION
and when I return...
now instead of start, I can continue my adventure... or...

Update 0.5.0, or make your elf update (or typing update, or the game finally has a save button update), is almost ready, so instead finishing up the outfits I played around with the particle systems to make some snow and other effects :D
