Battat headcanon time again. I am just making stuff up You don’t have to agree with me

I like the idea that Battat recruited Pluey and Jongler mainly because they didn’t immediately judge him and were actually willing to take the job lol they’re all a little weird but accepting

Of course I don’t think they all got along immediately when they were bunched together, especially since Battat is. Pretty strict (He definitely lays off a little if he lets Jongler and Pluey wear his old costumes despite disagreeing with them. Also, he has learned to tolerate them for a while and even called them friends)

Battat was never used to receiving affection. Getting so much praise from people who legitimately care about him was a strange idea to him. To this day he still sucks at showing gratitude because of how stressed out he is ALL THE TIME by EVERYTHING. He never expected to get so close to these two. Sometimes the most he manages to do is hang around them while they sleep (like that #insomnia doodle I did)

Oh yeah this is semi-unrelated but in my mind Pluey is an effective stress reliever for Battat. Like Jongler said… You gotta have a Mike that listens… Battat rambles his heart away to Pluey, and Pluey always returns little gestures indicating that he’s listening, despite being aware that Battat doesn’t always pay attention to small social cues. I like drawing them chilling because I believe Battat needs time to quiet his mind for a bit (well, maybe not his mind, but just some quiet time in general would be helpful)

Him being stupid and stuff is funny but I lowkey get him…..(aka I’m mostly projecting) I don’t feel like I’m on the same level as my peers. I don’t like lying all that much. I’m…pretty chill I guess as long as you don’t talk about my hyperfixations or something. And finally I am so god dambed forgetful!!!!! I never thought I’d relate to some guy unofficially named Jongler but Here We Are. He gets the ADHD beam

He always feels like he’s underneath people’s (especially other Zappers’) expectations. Not being able to complete his tasks and whatnot… Like I know in canon, as a joke character he probably wouldn’t have all these thoughts, but come on COME ON. Think about it… carrying all that weight on you does not feel good. Plus him redirecting you to Battat for instructions is so real I like to think this is because of his inability to feel reliable enough due to his self-consciousness around forgetting things

Thanks to ANON!!!!, I now believe he has a knack for music and music-making. Music is the one thing that he can easily remember and specializes in, which makes him feel like he has fulfilled another purpose that is no longer bound by what others want from him, but rather his own path. People actually enjoy begin to enjoy his presence when he makes some sick ass tunes and that makes him happy…. He gets to unite people… He gets to feel loved and welcomed…..

My headcanon is that Jongler started asking Pluey to sing Catswing to him every night before bed so he remembers him. I think by now he can recognize Pluey's exact sax "voice". I made a comic about this last night but I'm cringe and scared
