Coming at you with an announcement! 

Due to a technical difficulty with tumblr, the admin team had to take care of some things today on the blog, with the handy help of a tumblr wizard. As you may notice, this blog is now titled @dfwsecondary. You can still find us under @dramionefanfictionwriters, which is here since it won’t let me tag! 

What does this mean for you? Not much, I promise! We’re committed to making this a seamless transition. Please take a second to follow us at our new home, and you’ll notice posts that you may have seen before as we move all of our content. We hope that you’ll see this as another opportunity to see all of the things DFW has to offer, such as resources, workshops, and the ability to build valuable relationships while writing our favorite ship

We promise we’re still the same DFW you know and love, just with a bit more knowledge of how tumblr works.

Hi! I have a question. I see how authors put theif fic links in their post and it still shows up in recents, but it doesn't for me. How do they do it? Thank you.

I’m not 100% sure what your question meant, as I think I’ve misread it but I do know a couple of things. 

Tumblr only tracks the first five tags. Not to mention, if you reblog your own post that you’ve tagged, it apparently doesn’t pop up in the history of those tags. If you’re going for exposure, you will want to create a post each time you’re updating a chapter or story. 

I hope this helps! If it doesn’t, feel free to let me know I misread the question.

Hello, I’m looking for a beta reader for my friends with benefits Dramione fic, which is @dramionefanfictionwriters prompt. Currently my fic is sitting at a little bit over 1,000 words but will probably end up being around 4,000.

I need somebody who’s willing to look at unfinished work, to point out if I’m missing or if grammar/spelling is wrong and most importantly if I got the characterizations right.

Topic of the Month - Outlining

When it comes to writing, getting started is often one of the hardest parts. How do you get started and what do you do if the process doesn’t work for you? While some authors’ writing processes can be similar, they can also be completely different. Keeping that in mind, we’ll go over multiple plotting and outlining processes this month and how you can tailor known techniques for yourself. 

That’s why we’re putting together workshop all about it and we want you to come and join us! To join, all you have to do is join the group here, and answer the membership questions.
