Goal
Our goal for this project is to spread awareness involving our ocean and the pollution we humans are spreading. We did this by creating a visual 3d projection mapping scene. Our target audience are the younger generations as technology is a big thing in their lives now, and we find this to be suitable to show them.
Creating the sound of this project had been a struggle as we had to change so many of our initial ideas and most of the sounds have been scrapped as they were no longer useful. However, I would like to say that I have improved greatly with editing sound effects, and creating videos as a whole. And this experience had been really fun to make.

Setup
We have now begun the setup phase of our project, and we managed to stick the projector onto the wall.

Spraypaint
Now begins the paint session, however we have a small problem, the platform seems to be curved hanging out a little, so we decided to glue it and have a vice to hold it down in place, leaving it to DRY!

After a couple of hours, we returned to it and begun spraypainting, sadly we were not allowed to take photos inside the area as there were paint molecules and poisonous gases around. And here is what we managed to paint.

We have also painted the inside of the box as to be safe in case the water doesn't reflect the projector.

Construction of the Wooden walls.
Osamu and Myself have gone down to the wood tech lab to cut the wood I bought at bunnings warehouse.

In the image above we have our wood and container on display, it cost us about 100 for the wood and spray paint. WE have 4 Large Walls and 3 platforms atop of the walls.
And this is what Osamu and Myself Have put together.

The woodtech department was kind enough to give us nails for free, and their utilities.

Middle and Last scene
Next scene I am editing is the Middle and the last scene. The first thing I did was add the Whirpool sound effect and extended it to the end so that it sounds continuous. I have made sounds previous to this so I just put it on time correlating with the scene, The first scene was the sewage and house wastes, this scene will last for several seconds. I added the sounds of the toilet, shower, sink, all at the same time.
The next scene is the oil pollution, which we added physics to and I have to make the sound of oil. These specific scenes I have already done, however, I do not have any screenshots of me doing of it as I knew we seem to be changing ideas frequently that I didn't have the time to screenshot it.
Next is the Plastic bottle sound effect scene, the way I created this was by filling my sink with water, and filled a plastic bottle with water and dropped it on top, to make a splashing sound with the plastic. Which in mind actually sounds somewhat immersive, I also pasted it three times, to add the sound of multiple bottles falling onto the ocean at once.
And the last scene is the factory chemicals, In which I downloaded the sounds from Youtube to create the sounds, I searched chemical bubbling sound effect, and factory sound effects, which sounds pretty on point with the scene.
And then I added the Background music which is from an anime I watched with my little cousin and noticed the song sounded so nice to hear, but I had to make the music sound eerier, thus I changed the tempo, and also slowed down the time to 80%. Phosphophyllite Theme, Houseki no Kuni.
and here is the final product.

Here were the number of sounds I had to create.

Beginning of the editing.
Austin and Osamy have created the animations necessary to show our project, and my job is to create sounds for the specific scenes. First is our Intro scene. At the beginning of the scene we have a ball rolling towards the centre, I used the sound effect of a bowling ball, and cut it off before it made contact to the pins. I then added a fade-out audio filter so that the sound doesn't sound like it was cut off suddenly.
After that, I added the sound of waves crashing as it shows the waves crashing in the scene, which then transforms into a whirlpool. I got both the sound of the waves and whirlpool through YouTube.
And I also added the same filter which is fade out audio to make it sound cleaner and not sound like it was cut off abruptly. Here is the full edited version of the intro.

Final project sis
Our inspiration somewhat came from the batman symbol that lights up the clouds. Who is the guardian of Gotham. A symbol of hope and comfort. When they look up to the sky and see the symbol, they feel safe and hope. We are planning something different. Instead of feeling hope and safety. We want to create awareness. In conclusion I had fun creating this project. My part on the sound, was fun to create, as I needed to find sounds that matched the other ambient sounds to make what is created. 3D Graphics design & development, and physical artifact molding: Osamu Projection mapping design & development: Austin 3D sound surrounding composition and development, and physical artifact molding: Stephen 3D Graphics design & development Physical artifact design & development 3D sound surrounding composition and development Projection Mapping were used to create this project.

Could it be bigger?
https://youtu.be/iLsBGrCbbfM The project itself turned out really well. What could it be if we were given more time and resources. Well I believe we can make it massive. I'm talking almost home sized, I'd we were given time and some more hands. I noticed that this was something that can also teach others about the pollution that we are slowly increasing in our universe. We could also use speakers to liven the place up skme more.

Physical layers.
Osamu and I have gone to newmarket to buy the supplies we need in order to create the physical aspect of our project while Austin will be creating the digital aspect of the project. We had bought a bookshelf which we cut in half and made further adjustments to get to where we are now. we also bought a metal bowl which we then used to place the paper clay on, and form a sphere-like an object, wherein which we will have the projector face on and project our, projection mapping scenes.

Story telling
We are planning to add a before and after effect side to our project, by showing the years, which get progressively worse, for the first scene we will add the year of 1957 which held the first manned spacecraft was also built and launched by the Soviet Union. It was called Vostok 1. It carried Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin into space in 1961. The first spaceship that landed humans on the Moon is called Apollo 11, built and launched by the United States. This scene will hopefully last below 10 seconds. During this scene, you will see debris flying around the earth
The number of debris will increase as the year changes.
The second scene will show the 2009 satellite collision event, which had scattered much debris into our space.
And then we will show what our space looks like currently in the year 2019.
we will then change the scene of what it may look like in the future.
We want to show what we humans are capable of. even on our planet, and in space, we still can pollute, and cause many incidents which will impact us heavily in the near future.

Had-
I had a recording of myself creating the sounds, however, it was deleted somehow. So... I have to now just talk, rather type about the process in a later blog.

Creation of the sound.
Here I have used sounds created by https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkq5JZ2yOF7b0rkMQMgdAIA
Here I have downloaded their sounds, and matched them, with other ambient sounds to create what you may hear here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8xvdnUNZjM
This is what I have created thus far, I will be adding more sounds that are free and are legal for me to use, yikes.
