a peculiar pair
Beautiful– like a painting that
makes the room go silent.
Untouchable.
Bold as a harsh storm,
loud as thunder,
carefree as a feather
caught in the wind.
So sure, so free.
Your light shines
wherever you go.
Your laugh– like a songbird,
your smile–
the sun on a rainy day.
Pretty– like a petal drifting
down in silence.
Unnoticed.
Quiet as a mouse,
sitting, watching, admiring.
A locked chest
that only you have the key to.
Timid, uncertain and
full of doubt.
And though I haven’t said it much,
you know me like no other.
The way you dance through life with such confidence makes me wonder
how we ever became a pair.
quick poem i wrote after school!!!

You’re all seasons.
Winter feels like you, the cold air that scratches at my lungs,
I’m numb to the feeling by now.
The spring flowers flow in my hair, it’s been 3 months since the day.
The smell of the summer breeze,
the birds singing in the morning,
the glow of the sunset, it lights up your face,
it gives me solace as I remember what once was.
In the fall,
the leaves that dwindle down so gently from the trees remind me of your nurturing touch.
It’s getting cold again and I can’t help but miss you.
You’re everything,
everywhere,
all seasons.
first poem kinda nervous😭
