hi hello! if you like sandman and are interested in taking the story back for yourselves and are interested in collaborative storytelling, my wife and i recently rebooted our sandman rp server! it's 21+ and oc and crossover (within reason) friendly! it's a pretty fun little place for people to create stories together and write in an expansive world. and make friends and chat about stuff. there is for sure a focus on writing together (you don't have to write with EVERYONE but we do try to make the world feel full), but we sometimes do movie nights (in character and out) and have places to share all kinds of art and thoughts and what have you. it's a fun time!
if that sounds appealing to you, and you want to flex those writing and rp muscles feel free to join us!
our current list wanted characters includes: desire, matthew, calliope, cluracan, mad hettie, puck, loki! there are also plenty of open roles and we are definitely welcoming to ocs as well so don't let that stop you!

The second book was definitely my favorite of the nightrunner series, which I'll admit to having mixed feelings about, but I really do enjoy it when you can tell that the author is just obsessed with their ocs and putting them in Situations.

Curious about people's reading preferences, reblogs for sample size are very appreciated ❤️
#i like all forms of books#HOWEVER#i need to read the PRINT BOOK before i listen to it#i have to read the words before i listen to the words#and i love ebooks so that i can find things i'm looking for if i'm talking about things#ebooks are great for reference#i struggle to read and retain ebooks#i like print books because i can read them and hold them and touch them#i need to read the words#otherwise i will not absorb them#i tune out audiobooks too easily because i need a base level amount of background noise#and if i'm not focusing on the audiobook (ie. usually during exercise or long drives) i will simply tune it out#so i have to read the book first#i also like audiobooks for inflection sometimes#listening to the fetch phillips archives audiobooks is so fun#bc it's luke reading them#and he can put the inflections where he wants them to be#so i think that's pretty valuable.#but i know that's not always the case.

"what did students do before chatgpt?" well one time i forgot i had a history essay due at my 10am class the morning of so over the course of my 30 minute bus ride to school i awkwardly used by backpack as a desk, sped wrote the essay, and got an A on it.
six months later i re-read the essay prior to the final exam, went 'ohhhh yeah i remember this', got a question on that topic, and aced it.
point being that actually doing the work is how you learn the material and internalize it. ChatGPT can give you a short cut but you won't build you the the muscles.

Inspired by a debate between me and my mom when she was astonished that I went for the hard cider over the gummy.
#every time i have a gummy i eat everything in sight and fall asleep on the couch#it does not matter what the dosage is#i ate a whole box of oreos once okay#i felt sick for days after bc i should not be doing that#i feel like. a cocktail or two will always make me a lil sleepy but not in the way that cbd gummies do#the buzz usually doesn't last super long#i have control issues is probably what it is#and i feel like i have more control over cocktails and the amount of fucked up i want to be#than i do with gummies#quite possibly a skill issue though#i just can't keep turning into fucking kirby every time i want to chill#also the cocktails i make for $0 at my house taste really good okay
