Soriel Week, Day 2 and 3: Invite and Blush.

tryna catch up on Soriel week and had this idea a few days ago. :3

(answering this in a post because the answer is way too long and complicated to just answer in the comments.) he was a surface fell sans when i first made him, but i wasn't feeling it. i lost most of my interest in fell sanses a while back, and even with him, i was having a hard time enjoying it. so i decided to change him. a lot.

so the way i drew him before felt underlust coded. i had said he wasn't a lust sans, but i eventually decided to add it, because i do love lust AUs (when it's not done in a weird and creepy way). it added something interesting to play with. not just because horny, but story-wise, and the struggles that come with it. then i thought it'd be fun to make him a dust/killer. because i love those sanses. and i wanted to make him funner for me. (this of course means it's not a post-pacifist AU anymore.) i also love dancetale, and i liked the combination of it with a dust/killer. (and i could give him insecurities about his dancing) (i'll leave the story explanation under a read more, because it's kinda long.)

as for the AU's story. i figure the fell part came as most fell AUs do. the underground taking a dark turn with Asgore's lost of his family making him obsess over war, and become a tyrant, making the rest of the underground lose hope and become more violent too. the lust part, i might need to figure out how that happened, but i have some headcannons for how lust AUs generally work, which would just be canon here. (explaining that would make this post even longer, so maybe i will give that explanation if someone sends an ask about it or something.) and the dance part, i figure is more just that in this au, dancing is a big part of monster culture.

the dust/killer part though, is where most his story happens. Frisk never fell. instead, an adult human did. (maybe the lust part of the underground naturally deterred children and/or attracted adults.) and the ghost of Chara does not interfere/does not become attached to the human. i may need to figure out this human some time. for now, they stay a vague fem adult who is very manipulative, and homicidal. they started with a neutral run. (it may have been impossible to do a pacifist one, with some monsters not accepting mercy.) but overall, pretending to be all kind and stuff. and they romanced Sil. he fell for their act. and was broken when they reset and went for a no mercy run. he was part of their game. and it didn't stop there. they realized he could remember (he didn't really try to hide it by the time they got to the judgment hall), and kept going through countless no mercy runs, each time asking him to join them. eventually, he gave up and joined them. but that didn't stop the abuse. they treated him terribly, and the whole time made sure he knew he had no choice but go along with it and let them do what they wanted. but eventually, he noticed them struggling a bit with their control over Time. and he realized he was the source of that struggle. so he decided to push it, gain more kills than them, all the kills, and use all that LV to fight back, until the human lost their ability to reset, and he gained it. but he couldn't go back to before all this. not that he didn't want to. he could only reset to the moment he obtained the ability. the moment he killed the human for the last time. but he figured it was for the best. he wasn't the same monster anymore. in so many ways. but he soon learned he gained more than one ability. an evolution of his shortcuts. the ability to shortcut out of his AU. not that he knew how to control it.

Sil/Silver's reference sheet!!

I changed him a bit since I made him. Added some AUs. and gave him (more) trauma. :3

They're a fell-lust-dust/something new sans. (It's a lot, I know, but listen..... I do what I want.) His LV changed his body. Made him much bigger and gave him dinosaur-like legs and tail. (The old design may still be about what he looked like before the human fucked everything up.)

His human was not a Frisk, nor a Chara. I decided to make it an entirely different, adult human, because I wanted to play with the idea of them having been not only an abusive and manipulative crime partner, but an abusive and manipulative partner partner (romantic and sexual). Hence the heartbroken appearance he has now. (and the broken heart on his jacket.) He has some trust issues because of this, and especially when it comes to humans. (It would really take a lot for him to trust a human.)

And of course, the usual: Don't ship them with other sanses publicly. It would make me uncomfortable.

I'm going to do Ko-Fi sketches for a bit!

The amount of effort I put into a Ko-Fi sketch depends on how much is paid. For example, If what's paid reaches the price of my sketch commissions, I'll put in the effort I would a sketch commission. (The difference would be that you do not have the option of asking for revisions, or much detail, nor would you be shown the piece throughout the process.
