How to make a Pastillas?

Pastillas, or pastillas de leche, are a sweet and sugary dessert that is well known and loved by many people in the Philippines. You can make this dessert without cooking at all, or you can do a bit of cooking to make this delicious treat. Follow these simple steps on how to make a pastillas, it is so easy to make that you can sell it everywhere.
First of all, you need an Ingredients, 2 cups of powdered milk, 1 can (14 oz.) of condensed milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of margarine, you can do 80 servings of Pastillas with it. Pour the powdered and the condensed milk in a bowl. Just pour 2 cups of powdered milk and 1 can (14 oz.) of condensed milk into a bowl, then, Mix the powdered and condensed milk together. The mixture may be a little thick and hard to mix together, so have patience and a thick and sturdy spoon, then after you mix it Add the margarine to the mixture. Add 1 tablespoon of margarine to the mixture; alternately, you can use real butter. This will help add an extra creamy flavor to the treat. Mix it in with the other ingredients, then wait for at least 15 minutes and roll it to the shape that you want and you’re finish.
Pastillas is so easy to make that you can make it at anytime and anywhere.

Mar Roxas

Who should we support? Who will you vote for the next President of the Philippines in 2016? I choose Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, the standard bearer of the “Liberal Party”.
First, we all know that his grandfather was the late President Manuel Roxas. His father Gerardo Roxas was great politician who has made a difference in governance. Having a grandfather and a father who are great leaders in their own right. The young Mar Roxas was taught how to be responsible and lead the country envisioned by his late grandfather through his motto “Country above self”.
Next, Mar Roxas capacity, he would be able to continue President Aquino’s programs like 4Ps around the Philippines. He also occupied a number of cabinet positions, namely trade & industry, transportation & communications, and interior & local government. With such background and political pedigrees Mar Roxas would be a shoo-in for the presidency.
Lastly, Roxas’ humble heart to serve. He gave the way during the 2010 Presidential Election to our beloved President Benigno Aquino III, it is not his personal ambition that matters most. To him, the welfare of the country was far more important than his personal interest.
I conclude that among all presidential contenders, the one who is ready to continue the “Straight Path”, is none other than Mar Roxas.

How beautiful the world is?

What would it be like to be able to see? This is commonly asked by a blind person. If I would share to them the beauty of nature, I would describe the nature of La Union.
It is blessed with majestic waterfalls. The flowers smell of a sweet fragrance, you can imagine the beauty as you feel the smooth petal. Experiencing it should be a part of our lives. Take a break and listen to the birds tweeting, the wind blowing, water lapping on the shore, the crickets cricketing all night long and the tree swaying. The plants growing greener by the day, the flowers smiling, the stars twinkling in complete darkness. Feel the waves of the sea, the shades of the trees, and the lovely gentle breeze.
Now, I’m glad that a blind person feels like to be able to see.

Baguio City

There is no doubt that Baguio City is one of the most visited spots in the Philippines according to survey especially during summer. I still remember in 1999, my family went to Baguio. I will tell you what we did as our first time in Baguio.
The first place we visited was Burnham Park. The very heart of Baguio City. We took the boat riding in the park’s lagoon. We rent one of the boat for about P100 for thirty minutes. You can also hire someone to row it for you. Then, we rent a pedicab for P50 for thirty minutes. There’s a lot of street vendors where you can buy strawberry ice cream, green mangoes, and crispy pork skin in case you’re hungry.
Lastly, we got exercise by climbing the 252 steps of Lourdes Grotto.
It was a beautiful and enjoyable day, an occasion I will never forget. I will definitely go back to Baguio City and bring the rest of my family and friends.

Tuwid na Daan

Do you like a president who can make our country greater? According to Forbes, the Philippines is 2nd in terms of economic growth not just in Asia but worldwide. It happened when the Aquino administration took place in Malacanang. This proves that his “tuwid na daan” words is true. This 2016 election I want someone who can continue the “tuwid na daan” for a greater Philippines, like Mar Roxas. I believe that Mar Roxas is a candidate who is capable for the presidential position.
Manuel “Mar” Araneta Roxas II is the grandson of the 5th president of the Philippines. Mar Roxas attended Ateneo de Manila University for grade school and high school then he attended the Wharton school of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, majoring in finance and earning Bachelor of Science degree in economics in 1979. After graduation he worked for 7 years as an investment banker in New York and became an assistant Vice president of the New York based Allen and company. Roxas was also against the late President Ferdinand Marcos, so he joined the presidential campaign of late President Corazon Aquino. When the late President Corazon Aquino went to the United States, he was the one who organize a series of investment round-table discussions with the American business community. Mar Roxas started his political career in congress when his brother died he decided to run to replace his brother’s seat and he won. Later he became majority leader of the house of representatives, as a congressman he espoused consumer protection and scoring the right of every Filipino to affordable medicines, as his personal advocacy, his tenure in the house of was most noted for his principal authorship of Republic Act No. 7880 (Roxas Law) which ensures fair distribution of the education capital budget of all the provinces, Roxas became the secretary of Trade and Industry under the Estrada Administration in 2000 and became the head of Department of Energy under the Arroyo administration. During his four year stint as DTI secretary he pushed for the development of the palengke based programs which promoted supply chain efficiencies. He also has a trade policy where he fought for increased market access for Philippine exports,he also gave personal computers for public schools program which distributed over 30,000 computers to 2,000 public schools all over the Philippines. He also worked for the reopening of the National Steel corporation which provided thousands of jobs, income and livelihood. In 2004 senate election, Roxas won a seat and he authored 43 bills and 46 resolutions brought before the 13th congress. On July 2004 and 2007 he filed bills on fighting smuggling, supporting labor, education, economy and alternative energy. Under the Aquino administration, President Aquino appointed him as secretary of Transportation and communications and on August 2012, President Aquino appointed him as secretary Interior and local government then he resigned to focus on his presidential campaign this 2016 presidential election. Mar Roxas did a lot already that he can make this country greater by continuing the “daang matuwid”. In 1996 Roxas was recognized by the World economic forum as “one of the Global leaders of tomorrow who are expected to shape the future” and “political leader of the new millennium”. The Singapore government has awarded him as 16th Lee Kuan Yew fellow and many more awards was given to him. Roxas was an economist and this country needs an economist to have more jobs and boosting economy to lessen the poverty and our country to become a strong and rich country.
With all these qualifications and reasons, I can say that Mar Roxas is the best candidate for the presidential position to make this country great again.

New Zealand

What would it be like to be able to see? How beautiful is the scenery? This is commonly asked by a blind person, if I would describe and share them the beauty of the world, I will choose to describe them the most beautiful place that I’ve ever been and they will greatly feel the beauty of a nature and how peaceful it is. The place is New Zealand.
Only a few people have any idea what New Zealand is. When I arrived in New Zealand and got out of the airport I felt the cold air, it was fresh. There is no air pollution, you will never see smoke belching vehicles anywhere. The place is really beautiful.Everything is green, lots of trees and grass. The birds are walking on the streets mingling with people, they are not afraid. New Zealand feels like you are near the sky.The view is so surreal it’s like a paradise of the pacific. The clouds are long and white. During the night you can see the stars in the sky so vivid. There’s a lot of inactive volcanoes. The sheep is like ant, there are so many of them.
The people are multicultural they are made up of different races from different countries. There are various international cuisines like Thai and Indian food. Both are spicy but taste good. You will rarely see police officers on the street because the citizens are very disciplined. It’s very rare to see a crime or commotion. Business establishments like super market have no security guards, for they believe in the virtue of honesty. New Zealand has mild temperatures it doesn’t drop below 10 degree Celsius and only rises up to around 26 degree Celsius, never will you experience the scorching heat or extreme cold.
Now, I am very glad that a blind person feels like to be able to see and feel the beauty of New Zealand.

PROM NIGHT

What is prom? This is the night that every high school student is waiting fbecause it is a very special part of High school life. It will only happen in your life twice. This is the time that you will choose your gown and glam like a princess and you will hope that it will be a magical and unforgettable night. I want to tell you a story about a girl and what happen to her prom night.
Tonight will be the prom that everyone looks forward to, there is this girl called Amy who is very excited for her prom night her classmates and the whole school become problematic on what they will wear and tonight is the night that they really dolled up and boys become more handsome and manly Amy, was very excited her boyfriend told her that he will meet her at the entrance of the venue, but he didn’t show up so she was really disappointed . Amy was wearing a tube black and pink gown, and my friends did tell her that she was really pretty tonight, because of no sign of her boyfriend, she was kinda disappointed because she assumed that he was really going to meet her. she did eat first and enjoyed it especially the desserts and she guess that they did put much effort on it. she party with her friends but mostly stayed on the sidelines. Some people walked past and stared while some guys approach her and talked to her how beautiful the girls are tonight.
The party was ending and she watched silently in the middle of the big room when they announced the prom king and queen, she knew her boyfriend, Andrew would want to see it, but she still had no idea where he was, as the result, Hannah Montemayor won the title of the prom queen, she was a popular girl in their school, no matter how bad her personality and Patrick Darwin won the prom king title and he was really deserving because of his handsomeness tonight. The party end and still no sign of her boyfriend. she looked around for him, but only saw him after the prom king and queen left the stage, there he was flirting and hugging with Hannah, right in front of everyone, some people were shocked looking at Amy and she feel really hurt, disgusted with a teary eyed and she decided to do something different.
She ran out of the venue, pulling her earrings and wiping off her make up as she cried, running to her white car. she got in and cried to her heart’s content , she guess it was only a coincidence. It was raining that night, however he never came looking for her even after weeks and months and she decided that she’ll never thought about him again and move on with her life. Amy graduated high school with a flying colors and even seeing her ex-boyfriend, Andrew and Hannah together, she doesn’t care anymore. she realized that there are more to the world that can make her happy than lovelife.

Significance of ICT in College Education
Is it true that Information and Communications Technology becomes part of the everyday life of the schools? Information and Communications Technology is complex and quickly changing, and it is confusing for many people. It is so pervasive in the modern world that everyone has some understanding of it, but those understanding are often wildly divergent. There are many significance of ICT in college education. Why choose ICT? Aside from interesting, it is important to be knowledgeable in this field, now a days computer and internet is very essential in this fast pace environment or you could say it is as normal as your daily routine.
In college education, the significance of ICT is generally to familiarize students and teachers with the use and workings of computers, related social, and ethical issues. In fact, ICT also gives educators the opportunity to transform the way learning happens, and enable student development. For example, there are 5 out of 10 students using their iPad to search information while the teacher is teaching. It is general and easy to have internet in the 21st century. ICT presents a range of tools that teachers or lecturers use to present and display as part of their teaching and help educators interact with students as well as engage them in a more meaningful way. These technological tools can be purposely designed for education, for example, software or hardware used in the context such as word processors and spreadsheets. Another example would be crime and disaster prevention, cctv’s, controlling key’s, light and sensors are connected to a computer system that can be link on your mobile phone.
Computer tools help students and teachers manipulate complex data-sets. This then provides the context of effective discussion that helps to develop the subject and understand it. ICT is beneficial for teachers to share resources, expertise, and advice. It’s also easier to prepare lessons and plan for design materials for students. Sometimes ICT helps teachers to access up-to-date students and school data, anytime, and anywhere. Teacher can enhance their professional image by using ICT. In some colleges, teachers are expected more of the students to use ICT, whether this was due to the higher pace of lessons or work being done more quickly. On the side of communications, e-mail and messenger applications like Viber and WeChat is essential in sending or transferring information and faster communication.
I conclude that Information and Communications Technology (ICT) gives great impact in college education for the learners and teachers. ICT has become a key driver in education as well as it has been identified by a range of important and wider benefits of ICT on learning. Thus, I agree in the continuity of Information and Communications Technology in college education due to it’s importance and benefits.
