OK so today i’m working on making sprites for my youtube channel, and i was having a really hard time with it but i pushed through and found something i liked! So i’ll share that with ya’ll:

1. First, i looked at the original drawing i made of my sona.

2. Next, i tried making a simplified, cuter version of it since i wasn’t sure if i wanted it to be cute or regular looking

3. For the final product, i ended up with this kind of in between that i really like.

I really hope all the sprites turn out good! Wish me luck 💚💜

Just barely managed to finish today's chapter, another 4K done. I woke up super late and didn't finish till 22:40ish still at least consistent progress was made. 2 more chapters and the epilogue then I'll finally be done.

I do find it very funny that my writing progress graph has a clear mark of where the heatwave hit.

My character Kaeos got amnesia. During that time, he developed a new identity called Eclipse. Do you think the designs look similar enough to be the same person? I tried to keep similar facial features and hair texture, but I’m just making sure!

Something i love about Suzanne Collins is how expertly she’s able to write the prequel books. Like.

THERE’S NO WAY SHE PLANNED ALL THIS SHIT RIGHT??? RIGHT??

Like, people are saying things like “ohhh so thats why that character does that thing”

LIKE YEAH ITS AWESOME BUT- HOW? DID SHE PLAN IT ALL FROM THE START? HOW MANY LORE BOMBS ARE WAITING TO BE DROPPED THAT SHES JUST CASUALLY KEEPING TO HERSELF??

And if it wasn’t planned… that means she based the backstories off their behavior in the books, which- that’s really cool to me, as a beginner writer’s perspective.

Sidenote: I kinda wanna know what’s going on outside Panem tbh, like there’s no way that their the ONLY people left right?

People, if you’re not sure and want to play it safe, just be specific about what content you’re showing! :)

I'm being so serious, stop using gore tag for a small blood splatter.

Gore is when character's guts are falling out. Gore is when there's organs, limbs or any other disturbing damage to the body. GORE IS TRIGGERING.

You're teaching people (AND KIDS) that gore tag isn't that serious and they can look because "there's probably just some blood". And see things they didn't want or expected to see, when someone uses the tag right.

Using serious trigger warnings for mild things demolishes the seriousness behind that warning. Stop using gore tag for blood.
