If Laxus wanted to play the card of 'I only made myself the bad guy to benefit others', then he was free to do so. Alaric at least knew comparing the slayer to himself got under his skin. It really was amusing. Though there was something that caught his ear, even after the bolt of lightening struck the ground before him. Just the knowledge that he knew something Laxus didn't made a twisted grin crawl across his lips. Oh how was the big talker going to act when he told him? Would he be angry? Dismayed? Feel betrayed? Lied to? A chuckle slipped out as the man could hardly wait to drop the news.

"You don't know what I'm after? My my.. She doesn't truly trust that guild now does she?" Alaric knew that she did but no doubt their parents engraved rules into her concerning the long kept secret. But if he could plant that seed of doubt, the end result would be marvelous. "Ever since she was little, my dear sister has been keeping a secret from all you Fairies~.. She is harboring a highly dangerous poison within her body, all on her own. Sure, it's tucked away safe inside some silver but it's still there. Isn't it sad that you are all willing to lay down your lives for her.. but she won't share a single secret?"

"Only if I'd actually planned on allowing them to go off. I may be a bastard, but I'm not a lowlife murderous psychopath like you are."

Laxus would scoff. Alaric thought he knew what had gone through the larger male's head when he'd done what he did, only he didn't. In fact, Alaric was delusional if he thought of r a single instant that the blond was actually WILLING to kill anyone in Magnolia. Sure, he was pissed off, but the thunder palace spell was simply meant as a scare tactic.

"I am well aware of what day is coming up, Alaric and I know that day isn't the MAIN reason you're here. No matter how hard you try you're never going to get to her."

The lightning dragon slayer wasn't going to allow the bastard anywhere near Nix. Nor was anyone else who knew her story and had heard about her deranged and estranged brother who popped up recently in the city. She was WELL protected, which was something Alaric was likely poorly equipped to handle. Of course, the dragon slayer had no intention of telling him anything about what they'd all been doing for her.

He'd narrow his eyes, sending a bolt of lightning directly in front of Alaric should the asshole have tried to take a single step forward after he finished speaking.

"And I just told you that you're NOT getting anywhere near her. Whatever it is you're after isn't yours. You can fuck off and die."

"You're still angry about that? And here I thought you had a better sense of smell then that. Perhaps you are too distracted~? I thought you said I would be surprised at what you were capable of.. Pathetic, Natsu~." Alaric brought his other hand out of hiding, holding it up to show a silver sphere covered in blood. If Natsu focused for a moment and took a breath, he would smell it belonged to Nix. Seeing as the same crimson liquid wasn't on his own hand, it meant he had one of his spirits do the dirty work for him. "Why would I want your forgiveness when I finally have what my dear parents refused to give me?"

The sphere was rolled over the tops of his fingers before he caught it in his grasp once again. "I heard Nix was wounded and quite exhausted after an.. incident involving you all. So this was the best time to collect what she had been hiding all these years~." Alaric did not care that he just admitted to being a coward that avoided a fair fight. He knew that his sister would best him in a fair fight and so resorted to any means to take what he desired. "Now it is mine and she can join our family in the next life.."

"Call me a baby again and you're going to see how fucking wrong you are, Alaric. Don't think I forgot about what you did and NEVER think I'll forgive you."

Natsu and Nix might only be friends, but she WAS flock to the dragon slayer, and he was going to do whatever he could to see her smile without pain in her eyes. Even if that meant dirtying his hands by eliminating Alaric. He wasn't the only one out for the murderer's blood.

"You'd be surprised at what I'm capable of you demented freak. Just because I wasn't good at controlling my flames when I was a kid doesn't mean shit now."

He'd grin, crossing his arms over his chest and looking at the other man. He'd always thought he SMELLED funny and it came to be true that the guy was 'off' in more than one way years later.

"Oh I won't be the one to waste my energy on moving you.. and I know who you are, Gajeel Redfox. Phantom's old attack dog but now you're Fairy Tail's pet. I have an attack dog myself~." Alaric brought forth one of the old iron keys and held it out. He hadn't used this particular spirit in a while but one did need to take their dogs out on walks sometimes. No doubt he was getting antsy by now and needed a new playmate.

"Shake free of your chains. Howl at the moon and devour all in sight.. Come forth, Vargr!" A massive wolf took form behind Alaric, parts of its being having lost its flesh to show a skeletal frame instead. The spirit gave a loud, ear rattling howl before leaping at Gajeel with the intent to bite down upon him.

"Go ahead 'n try t' fuckin' move me ya pansy ass bitch."

Gajeel had no issues standing in this man's way. The scent of DEATH clung to him like a second skin, so the Dragon knew there was nothing to be trusted about the man who stood in front of him. Just what had brought him to Magnolia was the real question.

"Ya might think I'm no fuckin' threat, but ya would be fuckin' mistaken."

"Oh and surrounding Magnolia with large electric lacrima wasn't attempted murder at least? You did hold an entire city hostage just try and make yourself something you are not.." Laxus' plan failed did it not? He got reduced to the status of an exile. Giving rise to the news spreading that Makarov had to kick out his own grandson from the guild.. Until time later when word came up that he was part of Fairy Tail once again. What a shame that was when Alaric did believe that, for a moment, Laxus might see the joy in going against all that stand in your way.

"Funny you should bring up the eradication of my family, Laxus.. Unless you have your head in the dirt, you know what day is approaching this week. I'm rather sure my death is all she's thinking about lately." A most wonderful anniversary was just around the corner. The day his revenge was carried out but not completely. The secret held so dearly by their parents was never divulged to him, no matter how painful he made their deaths. Though after years of searching and leads ripped out of others, he finally came across the secret on his own. Since he had started stealing powerful magics and relics, what a grand thing he came across. "Oh and.. I know you've liked her since we were children. Quite pathetic, really~. So if you are done being a bore, I have something to collect from her.."

Laxus merely stood nearby, he was quite bored, but he wasn't making that very obvious. Sighing, he'd purse his lips, eyes narrowing as the other spouted nonsense at him.

"Attempting to make assholes remember I have a NAME of my own, and not just 'Makarov's Grandson' and MURDERING your family are two totally different things, Alaric."

What Alaric wasn't aware of now, was that not only was he a capable wizard, he had skills and abilities he couldn't have even DREAMED of having as a kid. Sure, he was weak and sickly as a child, but thanks to Nix and the bracelet she'd made him, he'd become much better at controlling his magic. Plus, he had blood lightning magic too, not that he used it often.

"Now, why the hell would I need to bring your head on a platter for anything of the sort? You're thinking too highly of yourself if you think she'd swoon over me killing your sorry ass."

Made a small update here! Alaric is Gray Asexual. Honestly can't see this murderous sack of trash ever developing feelings for anyone or even having certain urges.. Except for murder.

"The only trail I leave is one I willingly leave behind.." Alaric had a certain magic at his disposal that allowed him to cover his tracks in term of witnesses. Though there were times when he didn't feel like covering the fact it was him who committed the crime. It was a cruel sort of game to him to leave a clue here and there to send his sister and his other pursuers on a wild goose chase. "And why not let the public know that they aren't safe? That this stagnant peace they live in is merely a façade? Why not let them know that it will all come crumbling down at my hands..?"

He was well aware that guild was gone now and where the Dragon Slayer now resided. "Just because you have a nicer collar now doesn't make you any less of a dog.."

"That I do.. With your body broken and lying in a bloody heap." Alaric remembered Gajeel, a member of Phantom Lord that was well known for his Metal Dragon Slayer magic. Why was he hunting him down like this? His business was none of his concern, at least the man thought as much. That didn't mean that this interference was going to be shrugged off, oh no. Gajeel's appearance here had gotten in the silverette's way of his next big plan. So needless to say, it put him in a foul mood. "You think this will end well for you? I think not.."

A key was brought forth as he aimed it at the ground and gave it a turn. "Rise with the toll of the cracked bell. Raise your heads high to bring the stars down low.. Come forth, Gogyo!" The ground trembled as the massive serpentine creature appeared, five necks branched out from the stone body as the spirit fully materialized. Each head released a loud bellow as they woke, seeing the prey before them.

Of all the people to run into, it had to be him. Alaric had heard about Freed and how he was part of a team with Laxus. Though the man had made a name for himself based on his own capabilities. So bringing forth one of his spirits was the best call to make. Mihou was probably the one to rely on most for this encounter, that is if Freed were to make a move. For now, both mage and spirit were waiting first to see what would happen.

"I am well aware, Freed.. Though why are you here exactly? Surely you haven't run out of needless quests to run around on." Then again, Alaric was a wanted criminal and his father was a member of Fairy Tail at the time of his murder.. By his son's own hands. If there was anything that guild was good at, it was sticking to the whole 'family-like vibe' act.

"I was wondering what sort of Fairy nonsense you'd spew at me but this is too hilarious~." Alaric couldn't help but laugh as he looked at Mirajane, not even bothering with thinking on how she found him. He wouldn't bother with summoning one of his spirits, not yet. Part of him needed to see what she would waste her breath on next. Surely Mira didn't think he was some charity case. Some misunderstood soul that needed redemption and all would be well. Did she forget he slaughtered his entire family, save for Nix? One could never be forgiven for such a crime, not that he was seeking it.

"Do you truly think rage is what's driving me? I burned all that away with my family years ago. And let me fill you in on something, Mirajane." A smirk came to his lips as he took a step closer, placing a hand over his heart to emphasize on what he said next. "Even monsters have hearts beating within their chests~." A ominous chuckle escaped him as his eyes remained locked on the woman before him. "If you want yours to keep beating, now is your chance to run. Hurry back to your fairy den!"

"My own weaknesses..?" Rage showed in Alaric's eyes as he glared at Erza, slowly turning to face her. "And why shouldn't I look down on those around me? Those beneath me? I am better then all of them!" Yes, he had far surpassed the common folks around him. The keys and his own magic proved his parents were wrong. He had talent, it was just for something better than they ever had. "I have no weaknesses! Not anymore! I have surpassed my family and will one day eliminate the magic they kept from me.. Then I will finally prove my superiority once and for all. You will not stop me, Erza!"

Alaric smirked down at Gray as he stood atop a pile of rubble he had created. There were whispers about his teacher meeting some manner of an unfortunate end. What that was exactly, he wasn't sure and didn't care. "And why would I want to control you? I mean.. In all honesty, you are quite at a lower tier than your friends. Surrounded by all these dragons makes you look like a cube of ice~. So if I wanted to control someone, I'd aim higher up."
