You know what never mind, I might as well answer. I'll keep it short though because I hate writing for too long. Also I wasn't lying in the tags about being mostly over it, so I don't want to dwell on it for my sake.

I'm just kind of fed up with horizons. Like not to the point I don't want to watch it anymore but it just kind of annoys me. It takes a lot of liberties in it's story, and it's not like it didn't during Ash's era, but despite including a lot of things from scarlet and violet, it kind of fails at like, actually hyping up the generation. It does it better than journeys did, journeys really did NOT focus on Galar too well. But talking about journeys, why did they do the traveling around the world thing again? Most of the characters and plot lines wouldn't work without that aspect but still. They saw what happened with journeys right? And sure, the airship fixes a few of the problems, like them being stuck in Kanto most of the series, and they had an arc focused on Paldea, but I just don't think it works. Also I understand that orange is probably the more eye-catching color, but like, what's with the violet exclusion? They totally could've had the violet paradox mons with the scarlet ones in area zero. I wouldn't even be as mad if paldean winds had uva academy, it's not that hard.

uh, I think I got sidetracked, but I'll continue with the story specific complaints. Horizons takes a lot of inspirations from elements in sv for it's original plot points, yet still keeps those elements in the series??? Like Liko goes to school at the beginning of the series, but not to uh, the one in her home region, that's regarded as one of the best schools in the world. I understand her mom wouldn't need to hire the RVT and things wouldn't play out as they did, it's still weird. Liko, Roy, and Dot kind of mirror Arven, Nemona, and Penny respectively. Not to a terrible extent, especially not Liko. But Penny and Dot interactions are kind of weird, Dot clearly being based off of Penny. Not to mention, Rakua, Laqua, whatever you wanna call it. Everyone expected this to be area zero right? Like, maybe the kids it's targeted to see the progression normally because they didn't already know about the game's story, but it's still kind of weird, being connected to terapagos and all that.

Also the spiral was mostly me just missing Ash and like, the way the anime was before. Hence that movie post I made. I was very receptive of Ash leaving and getting new protagonists, but the story is weird to me. I didn't even get to the main reason I feel this way despite this being so long, but I've been typing too long so I'll leave it here.

My fakemon for the Truegreen7 starter design contest

I didn't end up winning but it was fun designing them. I'm really proud at how they came out, especially Jestorch. I might redesign all of them or at least draw more f them in the future because I really like them.

Honestly I was banking on at least getting an honorable mention for Obsurfer and Perseaver's names but he didn't have any honorable mentions ;(
