Hampi Landscape 

Hampi is located in Karnataka and is famous for its holy temples and ruins of the Vijaynagar empire. The ruins include gigantic forts, markets, big pavilions, and stables of royal elephants. Hampi is one if the UNENSO World Heritage sites in India.

HAUZ KHAS VILLAGE - DELHI

Hauz Khas is a urban artist village located next to the ruins of Khilji Dynasty in Delhi .The Complex houses a water tank, an Islamic seminary, a mosque, a tomb and pavilions built around an urbanized village with medieval history traced to the 13th century of Delhi Sultanate reign.

St.Mary’s Inland 

St. Mary’s Island is a small group of islands off the cost of Malpe beach in Udupi, Karnataka , India . The island is also known was Coconut Islands and is a geological monument because of the formation of columnar basaltic lava which gives the rock a unique geometric shape.

Manapad, Tamil Nadu 

In the year 1540 a Portuguese trading ship travelling around the Cape of Good Hope , on its way to the East got caught in a terrible storm .The hind mast of the ship was damaged and the sales were torn ; fearing for the lives of his crew the captain of the ship made a vow that he would construct a cross from the broken mast and plant it on the shores of where ever they landed .After drifting for several days the ship washed up on the shores of Manapad.

Vattakottai Fort which literally mean circular fort is a seaside fort built in the 18th century to defend the coast of the Travencore kingdom .It is mostly in ruins and it worth visiting if you happen to be in Kanyakumari.

TEMPLE OF THOUSAND PILLARS - RAMESHWARAM

Rameshwaram is an small island located between peninsular India and Sri Lanka. It is considered a very holy place for Hindus and has been referenced in the most famous Hindu mythology The Rayamana. Ramanathaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Shiva, The God of destruction. The temple has a hall consisting of 985 pillars build in the 16th century, the corridor is the longest for any Hindu temple in India. It was an amazing experience walking through the massive corridors of this ancient temple.

STONE TEMPLES OF BELUR

The Hoysala Kings ruled most part of Karanataka, the Southern state of India from 10th to 14th century. These Kings were great patrons of Art, Architecture and  commissioned some of the  best stone temples ever built. The city of Belur was the capital of the Hoysala kingdom until it was annexed by the Mughal ruler Allauddin Khilji. The Mughals looted and plunders the capital city after which Halebidu was established as the new capital. The temples and monuments of Belur are the best examples of Hoysala architecture and the highlight is the nature of the carvings; so intricate that they look like carvings made on sandalwood rather than stone.

CHENNAKESAVA TEMPLE   

 The most famous Hoysala temple was built to commemorate the victory of the Hoysalas over the Cholas in the great battle of Talakkad. It took 103 years and talented workmen to built this magnificent stone temple and is worshiped till date .The interiors of the temple are intricately carved, the strenght of stone has given way to the beauty of idols, ornamental carvings that almost look like metal grill work. The temple was built for Lord Vishnu and Chennakesava literally translates to Handsome Vishnu.
