I did it. I watched the uncut dubs of the Digimon movies.

I seriously respect the dubbing company for their love towards this franchise. They really did not have to do that. Especially after 20+ years. I had already seen these movies with subtitles when I was in college but I do appreciate watching them with a fresh dub.

That being said, I will still just be watching Digimon the Movie in the future. It just works better in that format for me. The acting is more animated, the combined story actually works in a coherent fashion (which was super creative of them in the first place given the situation they were faced with) and the music is just overall better. I can't tell you how BORING the music in Hurricane Touchdown is to me.

Overall it was a lot of fun. I watched with my one year old. He's a digi kid now.

Recently, Discotek Media announced new releases for the fall and winter, and it was announced that the Blu-ray rerelease of Digimon: The Movie and the dub of the first three Digimon films would be released on December 17, 2024

I believe so yes. With the exception of a couple (Mimi and Joe's actors who passed away)

They even Michael Reisz and Lara Jill Miller back. I had heard Edie Mirman was back as Gatomon as well!

Exciting news Digidestined!

The original first 3 Digimon Adventure movies are being re-released in the Digimon Movie Collection by Discotek. They will have all new dubs PLUS we still get Digimon the Movie released with the collection! So we will get to watch the dub that shaped our childhoods in HD glory
