I really don’t have a good explanation other than the classic “Started shipping it as a joke until it wasn’t a joke anymore”. Just two older men with musical backgrounds/influence who fucking hate each other and want each other dead (for a second time in Brook’s case) sooooooo bad. (Also for some reason there’s a quick shot where Pero I watching Brook fight and do a one liner and he moans for some reason, at his big age?)

Honestly, tomorrow’s drawing for Valentine’s week is probably gonna be the hardest one. I’m too conditioned to drawing men with prominent muscles or with bigger body types.

Might be playing a little loose with the prompt, but I dunno. I thought it was clever.

Ships are starting to get a little more niche. So Perona and Conis have never interacted, but that hasn’t stopped me from seeing a few posts shipping them and I dig it. Think back to that really old image of a Hot Topic next to a Sanrio store. Though I feel that there’s more potential to them than appearances. Both are girls raised primarily by their single dads and despite how cute they are, they’d be willing to go to war for the people they care about.

Buggy D Prankster.

I’ve been a huge fan of Buggy and Mr. 3 as a duo since I first watched Impel Down. Which was surprising because I wasn’t very big on Mr. 3 himself before then. So it was very disheartening to look online and find that very few people seem to share my sentiment. Buggy does have a lot of relationships with other more popular chatacters, so I can’t say I’m all that surprised it gets overshadowed, but it’s disappointing all the same.

I plan on drawing difference rarepairs I like throughout the week/event, and decided this would be the first one to tackle.

I think Shirahoshi and Rebecca are a cute pairing. They’re both sweet girls who bond over both being helped by Luffy. However, this pairing and these characters in general feel overshadowed by other Strawhat allies.
