Padmé's post death reputation is so interesting to think about, because she was the Queen who freed Naboo from the Trade Federation, she vocally opposed the Military Creation Act, and we know that she was one of the leaders in the Delegation of 2000… but she was also the Queen that helped get Palpatine elected to Chancellor, it was her Junior Representative who proposed that Palpatine be granted emergency powers, and she was present at the first battle of the war.

How does that get reconciled with the public? Do they believe that her ideals were just a fiction and she was helping Palpatine? Is she regarded as a Palpatine's naive tool? Or do people remember her speeches? Are her words repeated - by people who once saw a holo of one of them and remembered a phrase and passed it? Does Palpatine try to smother her reputation or use it for his own purposes? Who - apart from Mon Mothma - even knows that Padmé was a leader of the Delegation of 2000? Has the galaxy forgotten her? Does Naboo remember?

Queen Amidala | Leader of the Rebellion

To me Padmé has always been red and gold. They are vibrant, colors, full of hope and strength, and they remind me of the fourteen year old girl who didn't so much as waver in the face of a planet-wide invasion.

This version of Padmé carries a great deal of anger and sadness, but she refuses to let it take her. She has too many things to get done. Assisted by her loyal handmaidens and friends, Sabé and Rabé, she runs the Rebellion from behind a mask, as she faked her death to escape the notice of the Emperor. Two people in the galaxy know she's alive. She wears the mantle of Queen Amidala like armor, and she refuses to give up on the people of the Old Republic.

Another moodboard for my Kyber Hearts AU! I've always loved the idea that Padmé lived to start the Rebellion, so of course I had to include it!
