Clark’s dark eyebrows rose. “Well… no… I suppose not… I mean, there’s someone but I don’t know if she feels that way about me,” confessed the man. “My life is rather… complicated,” admitted Clark, adjusting the glasses sitting up on his nose more. “Sometimes it feels like I’m two different people, trying to please everyone.” He looked to her. “What about you? I’m sure you have someone special.”
“Hmm, well I dunno are you dull?” She teases. “Oh, by that then I take it ya haven’t told her yet then.” A small, sympathetic sigh escapes her. “Yeah, life can be that way sometimes but I’m sure things’ll work out for you in the end.” At his question she shakes her head in response. “No, not anymore. I did for a while but uh, we didn’t exactly see eye ta eye anymore so I got outta there and haven’t looked back.”

His mouth made no sound, but there was distinctly an ‘oh!’ moment of recognition there. He knew enough about her and her dynamic with another pasty faced villain that he might, for example, level a city block if someone looked at her funny to say nothing about what might be ‘flirting’. Clark was probably one of the safer bets for her to be around so he just nodded. “All right, but no drinking… one drink and I’m flying…” he chuckled. “So are you really just in Metropolis for a little getaway or something?”
“Fair.” She agrees with a small giggle. At his question she nods in response. “Yup. Originally it was goin’ ta be a weekend getaway with my bestie Ivy, but she cancelled on me.” As she says this she pouts a little, but her smile returns quickly. “Ah well though, not a total loss I say if I managed ta get a cutie like you ta go ta lunch with me.”
