Dinara sighed as she sat at the bar. “Well today was a rather slow day. Surprising since a lot of single people are around.”

Dinara smiled as she walked up the street side. She had agreed to meet James at a restaurant for a small dinner just the two of them. She had grown fond of the other wolf and was rather smitten though she’d never tell him that. She pushed a strand of hair from her face. She smiled as she had reached the agreed place. SHe waited for the other to show up.

Dinara chuckled and shook her head. “Isaiah, love. You two are vampires correct?” She asked as she looked at him. “You two have been waiting for how long to see each other again? Why would one fight ruin you two?” She said as she turned Isaiah around. “I won’t let my best friend be a little bitch. Now go talk to your guy.”
dinarazama:
“Well who would I be if I didn’t look the best at an event.” She smiled and put a hand on his shoulder. She nodded and whispered something. “Trust me love. We all have our damages and luggage. But if it’s something to do with Matthias. Don’t let it ruin your night. Or. Go up to him and do what you need to do to win your man back. Cause last time i remember. You’ve been waiting a long time to have him back. And I don’t think you’d given up this easily if you had him right in front of you like you do now.”
Isaiah sighed as Dinara spoke, picking up the glass of whiskey that he had and letting his finger run along the top of the glass, circling it as he tried to quell the anxiety he could feel blooming. “I don’t know if we can recover from this. Our fight was really, really fucking rough.” He slammed back his drink in one go after that. “We’ve just been avoiding each other all night, and I’m not sure either of us are ready to talk again, never mind trying to be the first one to apologize.”

Dinara smiled and nodded. “Yes well I was the pack diplomat back home for sometime. So I’m rather used tto these types of events.” She stated. “Hmm. Zaid. YEs. That is a rather peculiar name. but you two are absolutely adorable from what I’ve seen. I’m Dinara by the way.” She offered her hand.
dinarazama:
Dinara chuckled as she could tell the male was uninterested in the night. “I was saying these little events tend to be a bit of a bore without a bit of alcohol.” She said pointing at her champagne. “Now don’t I usually see you with that smaller male.” She chuckled making conversation. “You two seem to make quite the pair. from what I’ve seen from afar.”
“Oh yeah, I don’t drink much myself, but if it’s not your scene I see how something in the cup might help.” He smiled politely. “Oh, you mean Zaid? Yeah, I guess I’m with them a lot. I’m inclined to agree with you, we do make a good couple.”

That’s no way to talk to your best friend now is it?” She said as she put her credit card down. “All his drinks are on me tonight.” She smiled as she looked at him again. “What’s bothering you?”
Isaiah looked over to see Dinara standing there, offering her a smile. “Hey you, showing everyone up in that dress, you look amazing.” He leaned into her side a little, shaking his head. “There’s quite a lot. More than I’m willing to share in such a location. We might need another wine night.” He laughed, running a hand down his face.

Isaiah wasn’t entirely sure what had brought him to this celebration. There wasn’t much of a reason to celebrate, he thought, not with the way things were going for him. At least he looked good. “I’m waiting for someone,” Isaiah wasn’t sure if Matthias even wanted to see him, but he wasn’t in the mood to deal with people in general. “But if you buy me a drink I’ll consider talking to you.“

Gareth was going through the motions. He said hi to the people he needed to say hi to, smiled politely at anyone whose eyes he met, and shook some hands, all the while counting down the minutes till he could make an excuse to leave. He usually liked gatherings like this, but tonight he was way out of it, and could barely wait to get this stupid suit off.
“I’m sorry,” he said, looking at another person whom, he realized, had been talking, “I zoned out a moment, what were you saying?”

Dinara smiled and looked at him. She chuckled and grabbed him a plate and silverware before grabbing herself some. “All the food here smells delicious.” She said as she rubbed his biceps in a caring motion. She nodded and looked at him. “Well a man should never be alone after traumatic things happen. And I had fun on our date from the aauction so you’ve gained my interest.”
dinarazama:
Dinara smiled and looked at him. “I didn’t think it was this close either.” She bit her lip and grinned as she walked with him. “My family doesn’t talk to me anymore. So i’ll be here. I can spend it with you if you’d like.” She said as she looked at him. “I know this must be a hard time.” She said holding his hand.
“I would like that,” James wasn’t ready to go home again, it was far too soon and his parents–he wasn’t sure what they were going to do. But he knew it was better to stay in town fro the holidays. “It is, but its getting easier as things do. But I am glad to have you around. It helps not to be alone this year.”

Dinara sighed and ran a hand through her hair as she looked at James. The male had been down in the dumps with everything that’s happened. She really wanted to make him feel better. “Come on my Zvyozdochka” She smiled and offered James a hand. “Let’s get something to eat and drink and maybe enjoy ourselves a little bit?”
James felt as if he were carrying the world on his shoulders, the weight has eased with some time, but he couldn’t help feeling it pulling him down. It didn’t feel right without her, none of this felt right. But he knew, she would want him to continue on. He agreed to go with Dinara to the potluck, he hoped it would ease his mind. If anything, it would get him away from his apartment. “Sounds good,” he offered her a smile, having no idea what she said, but he was at least back in the moment. “It’s nice to get out. I forgot Christmas was this close. Are you staying in town or going home?”

“Not so much bad as I’m a bit worried.” She smiled. ‘I don’t usually worry about people but hes was sweet during our auction date and actually gave me a challenge. But i havent heard fromhim since.”
dinarazama:
“Yes. Please come in.” SHe was in a hoody and leggings. She had her hair and makeup done. But her clothes were definitely no company stay at home clothes. “I have icecream if you want some.” She said smiling.
Isaiah smiled a little softly at her appearance, walking inside once he was invited to do so, setting the bottles down on her coffee table before taking off his coat. “That bad, huh?” he asked quietly, turning to hang it on the back of a chair. “Why don’t you grab the ice cream and I’ll pop these open?” It was strange, this odd friendship that cropped up after they had swapped bodies way back when. Sure it wasn’t that long ago all things considered, but it felt like ages now.

Isaiah had gone to Dinara’s place, knocking on her door and grinning as she opened it. “Shitty movie night?” he asked, holding up two bottles of wine. “I’m sure we could both use one.”

Dinara sat there waiting on the phone. She hadn’t heard from james or seen him since there date after the auction. She bit her lip and was worried. She knew his sister had passed and She just wwanted to check on him. Granted these emotions were weak and in the way but the man had won a special place in her heart. “James?” She said as the ringing stopped.

Dinara smiled and looked at her own body. “Wine drunk? I like the sound of that. I’ve got a couple of bottles back at my place and some stupid movies we could watch. I also bought these blankets that feel lilke heaven”
dinarazama:
Dinara smirked. “How are you to know I do anything? Until you’re back in this body. For all you know I could go eat cheetos and watch porn the whole time.” She smirked. “Though it feels odd having a penis. I feel as though I have to fix where it is all the time.”
“You will never get used to that feeling. Trust me,” Isaiah sneered at the woman who was in his body. “I’ll just have to follow you around, now won’t I? It could be fun. We could get wine drunk and I can fix my hair.”

“No. She wouldn’t But maybe The person I got would feel a certain way if I got them laid. Hmmm. Maybe i’ll go with that strapping vampire thats been around town asking for people.”
Isaiah snapped his head over as he heard his voice, saying words he did not want to hear. “Touch anyone with my hands and I’ll make sure you won’t have yours to return to.”

“I’m going to throw myself into the sun,” Isaiah hissed to no one in particular, frowning as he pulled a brush through his new hair while looking at his reflection in a shop window. “Do you think whoever this is would kill me if I gave her a haircut and some highlights?”
