The white male style of debate is to antagonize you until you snap. Then they win by default, because they make up their own rules in which being upset automatically invalidates your argument. The key is also to argue about things that they have no stake and experience in, so they dont snap first. Of course in the event that they do snap first, its of course passion, not anger…

White people are like little kids who make up new rules and obnoxious powers to keep themselves from losing….

At the end of it all, they are happy that you are so civil and can debate things rationally and clearly without getting upset. Everyone shakes hands and thanks everyone for being able to discuss “conflicting” viewpoints. Because after all everyone needs to hear the opposing side to truly be sophisticated. Even if you’ve heard that side all your life and it completely devalues you as a human being.

What i hear is that the mark of civilization to white people is being dehumanized and taking it like a champ. 

They also have little to no concept of power dynamics in these ‘sophisticated” discussions.

Accessible transportation looks different for everyone.

some people cannot be around large groups.

some people have mobility needs.

there are a lot of things to consider when it comes to providing disabled people with appropriate and affective care

disabled people’s lives are worth the consideration.

It’s like people don’t get that creating an environment where all disabled people are constantly scrutinized and have to consistently fulfill certain stereotypes in order to get to be acknowledged as actual disabled people who gets to exist in peace hurts ALL disabled people, not just the occasional faker.

Not to defend boomers, but i figured out most of my grandma's "tech problems" were really her way of trying to get us to spend time together. I know she can use all sorts of tools on the computer because she is the queen of social media stalking. I noticed that a lot of her settings issues and other tech problems had to be deliberately done, yet she would never know how they happened. She would always talk to me while i was working on stuff, usually about random things. I just took it as her being older and getting side tracked more easily. Eventually she would wear me down on trying to make me tea/coffee, or agree to let her cook me something small. I kind of started to suspect that she might be doing things on purpose to get me over there. I knew she was lonely and didnt have a lot of friends left alive so I started calling her every week. I would just listen to her talk, getting to hear all the gossip she gathered from monitoring the family, or who had a child or grandkid doing something scandalous from her church group. Funny thing is, almost all of her tech problems went away when i started calling and spending more time with her. So while I'm not defending several of the aweful people from the boomer generation, there is a chance if it is specifically your family members, they might just actually be lonely.

At this point there’s no excuse for a baby boomer to be technologically incompetent anymore. It’s just willful ignorance, this shit is not fucking hard
