There are so many great references and interpretations on Twitter about the song and a video that showcases all of those in one place is essential for people to really understand Jimin's incredible mind.

People are already talking and trying to figure out the song and the MV.

Remember what used to make people fascinated with BTS MV's, it was the explanation videos people would watch right after the official MV's that really made casual listeners turn into full blown fans.

Want to make a jimin edit but don't know how?

In this post I will do my best to guide you through the basics of editing so you can promote jimin in a positive way.

Before you start to make your Jimin content, and ask yourself the following questions:

📍 What do I want people to think about Jimin after they watch the video? 📍 How do I want them to feel about Jimin after watching the video? 📍 What do I want to achieve with the video? 📍 What do I want people to do after watching the video?

Having these goals in mind will help give you a clear picture of what you want your content to achieve in the long run for the benefit of Jimin's image.

Remember: we want the content to highlight him in a positive light.

After you thought carefully and planned your intentions, let's start editing!

For Youtube Videos:

Editing softwares: I recommend Movavi and Filmora, both are free to use and are very beginner friendly.

For more advanced editors, Sony vegas pro is a great one.

Watch editing tutorials on youtube for the specific app/software you want to use, and edit as much as you can. You don't have to be the best editor out there to make good jimin content, just edit as much you can, the more editing you do, the better you'll get.

if you feel a little lost with what type of content you want to make, look at your favorite edits/videos, study those and use them as a guide for your edits. (make sure to put on your own unique spin on them).

Note: it's not always about having tons of effects in your videos, sure it looks cool but having too many effects can actually distract from the point you're trying make across to the viewer, so sometimes less is more.

Text to speech - if you're not sure you want to use your voice for videos, text to speech is the perfect alternative to make your videos more engaging without having to do that. There are plenty of free text to speech mobile apps out there, use the most simple ones for your videos.

If you're using a PC/windows, all you need to do is use OneNote, the app is usually already on your computer but if it's not, simply download it from the microsoft store. Write the text you want to use for your videos, and then have the app read it to you through clicking on immersive reader, record it with the windows free voice recorder, and there you have it!

All you need to do is transfer the recorded track to your editing software, match your video clips with voice recording and you're done! This video explains step by step how to do this:

Background music: For tiktok, you can add any music/sound you want in the background, but If your video is meant for youtube, make sure to use copyright free music.

There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to make tiktok edits, the more popular ones to tend be made with:

But you can make a tiktok edit with any software as long as you make the video 19:6 (vertical).

There's definitely a need for more informative tiktok videos with accurate facts on Jimin, so you can use the text to speech for those as well!

Editing is a fun and effective way of relaying information in a way that sticks in people's mind, which is what we need in order to counter the false narratives, change the narrative surrounding Jimin and introducing him to new people.

And most importantly:

Make sure your content shows Jimin for who is, free of any false narratives and tropes. Show people the qualities that make him the great person and one in a lifetime performer he is. Make them see what YOU see about Jimin.

We can't blame people for not knowing what we know about him, we need to show it to them.

Making content is the best way to do so. The same way that haters spread misinfo about him, is the same way we need to spread positive info about him. Make people see what made you a fan and inspire more and more people to show their love for Jimin openly.

When songs are played on the radio, it provides a wider exposure for the artist and helps with music charts rankings such as Billboard.

Ask a local fan base how the radio operates in a particular area or nation.

Call the radio stations in your area and request for Jimin songs.

Treat Jimin like he’s a new artist. Make videos about him, tiktoks with actual facts, cool edits that will make people stan him, just treat him as if he’s a new artist. Don’t just assume everyone knows who he is so it’s okay to leave everything as it is, No. We need to recruit as many new people as we can, so treating him like he’s a new artist and hyping every little thing he does, will definitely help.

Remember that to new people, he is new. Don’t be complacent in your support for him. Now, obviously Jimin is not a new artist, but we ARE trying to create a NEW narrative. A positive one, a CORRECT one. So in order to do that, we have to basically erase the false narratives from the equation or pretend all the negative stuff does not exist. This will help us emotionally to continue making positive content. If we keep up with it, all the positive content will eventually drown out the negative. a lot of idols get hate, but Jimin's situation is unique because the hate is systematic. This is why we have to move differently and strategically.

Standing up for yourself as a Jimin fan

A big part of being a powerful community is the ability to help each other out, and not be scared to show passion for what you love openly.

Being a Jimin fan is not for the faint of the heart, he constantly gets targeted and as a result one of the biggest problems we have now is that many fans are hiding.

Whether it's Twitter, Youtube, or any other platform - for some Jimin fans as soon as they get some backlash, a lot of them hide or even abandon the app altogether.

Now, getting attacked is not easy nor is it acceptable.

Your mental health should always be above everything else.

If you feel like it's too much, then by all means - take a step back and take care of yourself first.

These despicable people's goal is to silence Jimin fans in order to weaken Jimin himself. They want to make sure he gets no support, no love, and no one at his side.

Some Jimin fans have already realized this and are getting stronger by the day, not surrendering to those tactics of intimidation.

Then we have the "ot7 Jimin fans" who are so scared to lose their clout, that they end up deleting their tweets of calling out OT7's, with some not even bothering calling them out in the first place.

People react differently to being mistreated and excluded.

Some people will understand that there's no point of trying to please everyone or make them like you thus breaking free and finding their independence.

Others however, will feel that in order to stop feeling excluded from said community (OT7) then they must fit in at all costs, conforming to the rules of the group in the cost of sacrificing their morals, justice and independence which is what is happening to OT7 Jimin fans.

Is the clout that important? is it more important to you than Jimin himself? Why would you put yourself through the burden of constantly pretending to be them just for clout?

In the long term, all of that gives the impression that Jimin fans have no backbone, for lack of a better word.

Content creators, Youtubers, etc, they get attacked all the time for showing love to Jimin and since we are not there in big numbers to counter that, it's no wonder they are not even bothering to fight back and keep loving him openly despite all the backlash. After all, they can't see the benefit of doing that because they can't see us, the people who do love him.

If we show everyone that we are not to be played with, that we are there for Jimin, it will help in so many ways.

Our community should be strong and firm. We are getting there, but we need to focus on reaching new people more than anything else. Trying to convince those who are in it for the clout is a waste of time.

So, we established that as a Jimin fan you will probably get backlash at some point.

What you can do to deal with this is stay firm while protecting yourself. If you get hate for defending Jimin, follow these instructions:

📍 Block the offending accounts. 📍 If your tweet gets ratioad, mute the tweet so you don't see the quotes. 📍 Disable the comments under the tweet. 📍 Disable DM's for a little while. If you can, report the tweets.

Remember - they want to cut off your ability to reach other Jimin fans and encourage them.

If despite it all, you still choose to go private - please make sure you're not going private for more than one or two days, your visibility is important.

Don't give them the pleasure of running you off the internet.

Why is it important?

One of the biggest reasons the false narratives surrounding Jimin never die down is because BTS introduction videos, Jimin is a flirt videos, cracks/"no jam" etc are still there and with huge number of views no less, so new people are still getting exposed to those false narratives even now and reactors are enforcing it by reacting to those videos. I just saw a big reactor yesterday reacting to a "no jam" army fanmade video from 2015.

Videos create a more significant impact than written content because of the visual aspect. Putting video content together may take more effort and time to put together, but it will pay off in the end.
