Okay, it all makes sense now.

After years of progress for Slash's backstory, I realized his villain version cannot speak.

For Slash, he used to not know how to speak but he has Silver to teach him after they were brought into the omega timeline.

Ash lost Silver. So he doesn't have anyone to teach him that.

Man..writing is difficult, it takes all my energy. I'm just one person. This is why I decided to not give my other characters their own story because I'm still fixing stuff in Slash's and Silver's😭
