Did a school visit today and asked a group of 8th graders if they could define the term "contemporary art" for me [for context, I work at a contemporary art museum], and one of them said "Is it art that's made with contempt?"
And unfortunately that's the funniest thing a student has ever said to me in 10 years of teaching

possession horror where the thing possessing the autistic character causes them to behave in a more neurotypical way. autistic possession horror where the thing inside you is easier to communicate with than you are, the thing inside you doesn’t have a flat affect, the thing inside you doesn’t let your body stim, the thing inside you is how you were told to behave and you can only do it when you are no longer you. autistic possession horror where you will never forget that everyone liked it better than you before they found out something was controlling you. autistic possession horror where they know what’s inside you isn’t you and debate whether it would be easier for everyone to leave you like this anyway. you agree. reblog.

It is meant to be bathed in, or to soak your feet in. Apparently it is meant to be good for exfoliation and skin conditions like eczema, something to do with the enzymes in it. Also should add (because I was wondering about it and had to look it up) you don't bath in pure milk, but mix a few cups into your bathwater.
Was looking up raw milk here because I remembered there is a brand that sells raw milk here but it's intended for cosmetic uses so it is called bath milk. But of course some people would drink it, but I think there is a not for human consumption label as well as Bath Milk on the bottle so I don't think the company can be held liable for people getting sick from it.
BUT I did find out about a company that does sell 'raw' milk as in not heat treated, but done so using high pressure which is meant to be safe for human consumption.
Is bath milk meant to be bathed in or used as a face cream or what, do you know?

Remembering story about the time my cousins went to a party and one of the parents used a nail gun to pierce someone's ear...
They ended up stuck with their ear nailed to a bit of wood placed behind to stop the nail going all the way through and the nail had to be sawn off to free their ear.
I don't know very much about myself but one thing I'm sure of is that I cannot be trusted to use a nail gun responsibly.

My phone continuously tries to autocorrect 'were' to 'we're' and it makes me retype it multiple times each time. And it usually doesn't even fit grammatically. It's frickin annoying.
A blue-tailed skink got into the house and I had to rescue it from my cat
and then I went to text someone about this and unbeknownst to me the phone autocorrected skink to skunk
thanks for nothing, technology

But what about a multi ep arc where they can't remember where they parked the TARDIS, and the whole time they're dealing with Daleks and/or Cybermen etc. and thinking that they are the ones responsible for taking the TARDIS, but at the end of each ep it is revealed the bad guys have no idea where the TARDIS is either. And every so often during an episode, the Doctor sees a Police Box down the road and just runs off mid conversation/jumps out of a moving vehicle or whatever to go and see if it is the TARDIS.
i think there should be an episode of doctor who where the doctor returns to a time when police boxes were common and then forgets where he fucking parked

okay now I'm curious and I dunno if this is really such an archaic foreign thing to young people today or if I'm just out of touch
Please reblog, I'd love to see a lot of responses!
#probably an outlier#born in the 80s but don't know for sure what it was#except it had to do with the phone#I had a fear of using the phone and making phone calls#I still don't like it
