chris never meant to drag anyone else into his mess other than his own team . they all agreed and knew exactly what it is they were getting themselves into . going rogue was the only option for chris with as much shady shit as bsaa has been getting up to . the cover up after the dulvey incident was paramount in his decision . teddy can be trusted even if some of his team have their doubts , but that is their paranoia talking which chris often soothes the best that he can .
❝ guess we gotta be more careful then . i don’t want you going down for my mess, ❞ truth is , after what happened to piers , chris wasn’t sure just where he stood with the director . not that he could be blamed if he decided to hate chris for what happened . sometimes he still hates himself for not being able to talk piers off that proverbial edge . ❝ if you need to take a step back , director . you know i’ll understand . we can do this on our own . ❞
“ oh, i’ll definitely be more careful, but i’m just an old man at this point, what do they have to worry about ? “ granted, this old man was in charge of an entire branch with several HQs located within the country, with prior experience in the military and raccoon city. he’s heard the rumors of course, that others might suggest his retirement for someone younger, more malleable. teddy bets that they think that they’re being subtle, but his mental faculties are still as sharp as they were back in his prime. plus, he still has people here that are loyal to him and are eager to slip him any information that he could put to use.
“ i don’t see the need to back down just yet. “ with ethan and his wife moved across the ocean, and activities rumored from the connections, teddy wasn’t ready to give up.
“ but if they do get a tad too close for comfort, i’ll make the choice then and there. “ there’s a document in his laptop, drafted and ready to be emailed, of his possible resignation as director of the bsaa. “ but for now, we’re good. how are you on supplies? i got a truck ready to disappear, so to speak. “

leon’s still glad for the chance in this war against terror to fight BOWs. it’s been a lot for him. it’s been his whole life, essentially, and leon is glad for the chance. it all started with not getting along with the newest president. he’s never been the type to resign, but he had to. he had to walk away. he hated him. leon hates even thinking about it. leaving the DSO was the hardest thing leon thought of, but he knew with his relationship with the BSAA and the DSO, he’d be able to at least get an in there.
conflict of interest be damned. he needs to continue fighting this war. he needs to stop bioterrorism.
the difference between the BSAA and the DSO is so jarring to leon. he likes it though, he feels at home. it’s not necessarily a bad difference, but it’s nice not having to work in the white house anymore. as he goes to check in on director nivans after being summoned to his office, he steps into the room and glances around, taking in every sight he can. “ sleep? i didn’t think anyone knew what the definition was of that word in this field, “ the man jokes, trying to smile at the other so that he’s able to display that it’s simply just a joke.
“ i’m doing well, sir. it’s quite different here at the BSAA, but i think i’m doing well, “ it’s been a shit ton of paperwork and research for the field, but leon’s at least grateful for the confidential information that he knows from the DSO.
he probably shouldn’t use that.
but leon’s almost never done things he’s supposed to. “ so far, nothing. headquarters is a bit… large, it’s easy to get lost here, “ leon admitted, before putting his hands in his pockets and shrugging. it’s a nice change of environment. “ there’s a lot of resources i didn’t have with the DSO, that i feel like the DSO would have benefit from. “ leon pauses, wondering if that was incorrect to say. the united nations governed the BSAA. weren’t they all going for a common goal anyhow? “ at the same time, i’m finding my own knowledge to be beneficial with some of the cases i’ve been looking into so far. “ that was kennedy for you- leon always immediately jumped into work, no matter what.
“ it helps no one’s bothered me too much. i keep to myself for the most part anyhow. teammates and i don’t usually get along. “ he doesn’t have a great track record of people not double crossing him when he works alongside them.
the older man chuckles, sleep is indeed a rare word in most of the bsaa’s vocabulary, but he tries to get some shut-eye here and there, sometimes at home, sometimes here. usually if it’s here, it’s either for dealing with paperwork, important ( and tiring ) meetings, and ( especially ) when high risk missions are involved and teddy doesn’t see the need to get home until he was sure that his operatives would make it back ( alive or not, though preferably alive ).
he listens to the former dso agent, nodding now and then, a small weight lifts off his shoulders knowing that leon is adjusting well to the change in occupation. for that, teddy was glad, and if there was something that leon wasn’t a fan of, the older man would’ve made sure to make the necessary adjustments in order to ease any potential stress from leon.
“ well, i believe that you’ll do well enough as a solo agent, given your previous experiences, so there’s no pressure for you to join a team in the near future. “ he reassures, leaning back against his chair just a bit. “ what about your apartment? i know that moving can be quite stressful. “

He was the first in Arrive ; opening the path to the rest of the team . The first thing he did when he saw the other was to handle him his own Beretta that was on his belt . ❝ You must be 𝙳𝚒𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚘𝚛 𝙽𝚒𝚟𝚊𝚗𝚜 , am i correct ? ❞ he was sent specially to bring Director Nivans back && safe .
❝ Darien Fessleer ; Europe’s BSAA branch, sir . yer division is on their way here ( . . . ) the rescue divsion has a helicopter waiting for us . So , please stick with me at all times && we can make it out of here safe . ❞
the older man nodded. “ it’s nice to meet you, agent fessleer, a shame that it couldn’t have been in better circumstances. “ when given the beretta, teddy automatically checked the mag before insert it back, sometimes habits are really hard to break, which in this situation, can be considered a blessing. “ lead the way, but lemme warn ya’, there are some big ones hanging about and they’re not the friendliest of sort. “
honestly, it shouldn’t be all that surprising, big things seem to be a thing when it comes to creating bio-organic weaponry. teddy would usually ask if they could just make things smaller but hitting a big target is a hell lot easier than small ones.
