While Maps already has a feature that shows how long it would take to travel from one point to another via driving, public transportation or walking, the āmeasure distanceā option will give you the true distance between locations as the crow flies. Itās a useful feature thatās easy to use and could save you time and effort when trying to plan a trip.

You can even use this tool to calculate the area of a property. Simply drag the black crosshairs to a corner of your house, and then move it around the boundary of your property to see its size in square feet or meters. You can also add additional points to create a more precise outline of your property by clicking them and dragging them. You can also undo any points youāve added by tapping the three dots at the top right and choosing Clear.
