**Minor spoilers but also it’s kind of obvious because this show is all about death**

Oh wait I do talk about the manga for a bit but it’s not anything big because season three basically leads right up to this:

Okay can we take a minute to talk about this?? Why aren’t more people talking about Eren’s downward spiral. The first picture is from either season one or two(they blend together okay?) BUT THE POINT IS— he looks determined and happy and THE LIGHT IS IN HIS EYES!! His and Armin’s dream(besides killing all the titans shut up angry German boy) was to see the ocean and when they finally got there he couldn’t even appreciate it because of all the stress and depression still weighing on his shoulders.

Do you see how sad and hopeless he looks? He stopped taking care of himself, and eventually that leads to his character arc in what’s going to be S4. He started off as the stereotypical steadfast protagonist with mommy and daddy issues but girl it runs so much deeper than that. By the conclusion of the manga he’s done a full 180.

I started crying in my online class today because Eren is now on the VILLIANS WIKI! But that’s not the worst part of this show. In my professional opinion(taken with a grain of salt) the most heartbreaking part of the show isn’t all the deaths(I mean it contributes to it because omg I would sell my soul for Petra and Marco), but rather the people who stay alive.

You see them change so much and it genuinely hurts my heart because even though they are fictional characters, the way they react to trauma is so real and I hate it that you can see them slowly losing it. Everyone hates on Armin for that one scene in the first season right after Eren gets eaten where he’s screaming and he’s useless but honestly?? I would be doing the same thing after seeing my best friend risk his life and get eaten right in front of me because he saved me. Not all of us can be a Mikasa.

Actually, Armin is another character that I could talk about his character development for ages.
