I'm so fucking happy right now you don't understand. She escaped the narrative! She escaped Rick Berman! She got to have an ending on her terms, and that means everything.

I'm really pleased with the Andorian panel - everything turned out just right, I think!

Working with the limited expressions of Andorians is definitely a challenge at times, because it feels like I'm relying on a lot of body language and antennae cues to convey what the other characters can convey through comparatively simple facial expressions. Still, I think I did alright here!

As for the Vulcan panel... somehow, Soval's assistant (originally intended to be Rekan from Deck the Halls (And Not The Vulcans)) turned into Sarek, so I guess that's happening now.

And onto the Tellarite panel! As much as I like how the Andorian panel turned out, I can't help but love Ambassador Gral in this panel just a little bit more. He was a lot of fun to draw!

(I choose to believe that Archer moved a decimal point two places over in a stalled trade agreement and waited to see how long it would take them all to notice. At least they're all talking again!)

💓 How do they act when they realize they’re in love/have a crush?

jon tries so, so very hard to keep a professional vibe. but he's never been able to hide his emotions very well - always one to wear his heart on his sleeve, and he knows this. to compensate, he might try to double down on keeping "professional barriers" up with you. maybe inviting you to breakfast a little less often, or not indulging in small talk between assignments and reports.

of course, this comes off as him being kinda cold towards you. jon can usually tell when he's being an ass, so the behavior won't last that long. and then it's only a matter of time before someone notices the heart eyes he's giving you all the time.

Now y'all have been posting all this cute art of the pair of them meditating together, stealing lil Vulcan fingertip kisses, and retiring to a nice farm on Earth (often with the S'chn T'gai kids visiting their auntie and her human husband.) I love it. It's so cute and wholesome.

So I watched Enterprise.

Most of the way through I'm like oooh, yeah. You two enjoy your "Vulcan Neuropressure" sessions. I know where this is leading!

But now that I reached the end, well, join me after the break. I wouldn't want to drop 20 year old spoilers on other poor innocent eyes.

The show gave them a surprise baby and then MADE A HUGE POINT ABOUT HOW IT DIED NEEDLESSLY?!?

And then, in the very last episode, these two cuties who I've been rooting for FOR FOUR SEASONS have apparently been broken up for SIX YEARS?!?

AND THEN HE DIES.

HOW THE HELL DO THEY HAVE A LOVELY LITTLE FARM UPSTATE WHEN HE'S

You know what? FUCK CANON. Whoever wrote those episodes clearly did not want to give the audience a satisfying ending for the little romance they'd built up for FOUR YEARS.

So I'm officially TEAM TRIP LIVES.

Because anything else is...I mean...AAARGH! What a shitty way to end a show!

Trip and T'Pol live happily ever after. Once they retire from Starfleet, he teaches engineering at a nice community college. Lots of great NCO's emerge from his mentorship. Meanwhile T'Pol teaches at Starfleet Academy.

They have a lovely little life together. And if they decide they want kids, they have however fucking many they want.

And all of them live!

What the fuck was that ending?!?

Now that's out of my system, I will concede...

Trip and T'Pol really are an adorably cute couple.

Enterprise intro, they could never make me hate you. i unironically have it as my alarm clock. i listen to it randomly during a day.

no, it doesn't have a classic trek vibe and you know why? look at Archer. can you imagine him giving that whole "space. the final frontier..." every episode??? no no no no no he's not that type of a guy

he's a guy who has a faith of the heart (and sometimes literally only that) and that intro is absolutely perfect.
