We all know that life will life, and that we have to deal with what we’re dealt. So with that in mind, I took a trip to Colorado this week.
Here are some takeaways from this venture…
- the drive from southern Louisiana to Denver can have you looking like this 😵💫😵💫
- when you’re half sleep, driving at night, and not realizing that you’re passing a wind farm you would think that something sinister is about to happen with all of the flashing red lights
- Texas is unnecessarily large 😩
- North Texas looks extremely antiquated and kinda desolate
- the North Eastern part of New Mexico and South Eastern part of Colorado looks even more desolate than North Texas
- the Rocky Mountains make a great backdrop to view while driving
- the Renaissance Hotel is nice but not as nice/fancy as I presumed it was supposed to be
- having a full/topped off tank of gas is quite necessary when driving through Colorado
- seeing a real life tumbleweed blowing across the road is mind blowing and hilarious if you’ve only ever seen it on tv
- driving through hundreds of miles of wind turbines intrigued me (where are they manufactured, how are they assembled/maintained, who does the maintenance, how much does that person earn, how much energy do they produce, is it always that windy around there)
- I really wish that I lived near a Buc-ee’s
That’s all for now. I’ll add more if anything pops back in my head. Here are a few not so great pics of that nice mountain backdrop that I mentioned (it’s somewhat hard to tell but the mountains were actually snowcapped, that’s not all clouds at the top of the pics)
