i don’t know how much difference this could make, but i do know that language is a powerful tool:
i’ve been seeing a lot of videos talking about how to respond to ICE and any violations of your rights and civil liberties, and i’ve noticed that most of them use the language “i do not agree to this”
from my perspective (which is taken with a grain of salt as a white citizen of this hellscape), i would think that “i do not consent” would stand up better if the battle was later brought to court?
to agree is "to concur or acquiesce in"
to consent is "to voluntarily and willfully agree" to a proposition.
is "consent" actually a stronger term here, that would help more in the long run? or does it make any difference?
