"Nah, it's okay." He watched a few trolls walk by, oblivious to the two's presence. "...Technically they live here, too. With everything going on, they've just gotten aggressive. Most places have perception barriers put up to keep people from getting attacked on a whim."

The whole thing with Malistaire was a long story that Ethan himself didn't even bother listening to. 'Grave danger,' they said. 'The end of The Spiral,' they said. That had nothing to do with him!

"...We'll be at the park soon, it should be another block or so. Monsters tend to steer clear from there so you'll be able to roam a bit if you like."

"Of course!" Ava chirps, excitement clear in her voice. It didn't matter to her what they were getting, she just needed to be out and about. She spends so long cooped up, unable to wander as much as she would like, and Odin does not want her going out on her own anyways-

Shuffling herself back into step with Ethan when she gets called out, her hands fidget in front of her chest. She can take them, it's nothing, they won't hurt her-

"...Why are they just out 'nd about, then?" Immediately, Ava winces at the way she phrased that question. "I, um, I mean- Sorry, I know." She was just curious, she wanted to know what things were, and unfortunately Ava was a very hands on learner. "I guess 'm just so used to not bein' able to walk in public, usually I have to go my own way..."

It's pride month and he's gay. He's hella gay. In a situationship with the Death School valedictorian ( another man) levels of gay.

“Woah, Ava incoming.” he said with a chuckle as she entered the greenhouse with the hidden object behind her back. “When I said you could come by, I was expecting to have time to water my plants first. But heck, you like plants so maybe you can help out. First things first, whatcha got?”

He wasn’t about to be unreasonable after their previous plant conversation. His current plant batch was…mostly tame this time around, anyway. You know, aside from the new plot of Snap Dragons and the two tiny carnivorous plants quite literally running around using their roots sticking out of the tin cans they were grown in.

But sure, definitely tame enough.

"Ethan! I brought you something!" Ava's got something hidden behind her back, and she has to keep shifting it back and forth between her arms in order to keep it mostly out of sight. She knows that he said that it probably wasn't safe for her to come into his garden, but... Well, Ava wasn't one to back down from a challenge.

Plus, she really did want to see it, possible consequences be damned.

Ethan dug around his candy bucket, pulling out a piece of spicy bubblegum and frowning, offering it to Sal.

"This may be my second year of this, but the candy is still pretty odd sometimes."

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised the magic wizard school has a pretty good Halloween event."

Hi, his hair is so wet from apple-dunking and falling messily over his eyes like a gross blue curtain. Still, he's pretty happy.

"Ugh, golems. Most of them are storm-attributed, which makes them miserable to fight for Storm School students like myself."
