- Julius (from 1999 bc i’m too lazy to add beards), Yoko and Sakkaku (my oc) joined the party of the now gayest hero, Alucard (by complete accident, mind you). - Sakkaku is apparently a good cook who hates sweets. - Julius can’t stop hitting on Sakkaku, even though she has her eyes on someone else in the party. - Sakkaku apparently likes copper. - Alucard can’t even buy himself a dress without getting distracted.

   「Very true~」 Mukuro’s smile grew,  leaning against Maria, getting herself more comfortable。 She did find it fun to learn new things about Maria whenever they would come up, finding that if she knew everything right away, that would take a bit of fun out of learning more about the person she cares about。

   「You think so?」 Mukuro had a similar feeling but she just pegged it as just because she was reading it that she was projecting herself into the character she was reading about, 「I kind of had a similar feeling, but I’m curious~ what makes you think the similarities are？」

🙞 “I’m not entirely sure, actually,” she begins, “but I can definitely see a lingering sadness in the main character. It’s something we both seem to have.” Well, how wrong could she be? There’s always a sense of lingering sadness with every person, so this wasn’t a surprising comparison. Even so, it was still notable enough to comment on. 🙝

🙞 As Mukuro made herself more comfortable, Maria’s arm found its way around her waist to wrap her in a warm embrace. Oddly enough, Maria found the other woman very nice to lean on like this, almost as pleasant as sleeping next to her. There’s a content hum as the blonde found herself starting to space out a little bit, still looking at the words on the page. 🙝

   「I like to switch up what I’m reading from time to time,」 Mukuro responds with a smile and a small laugh of her own, 「but I do enjoy books like these, thrillers, and even fantasy novels。」  As Mukuro speaks, she continues to read the book, flipping the page to the next one。

    「We really are, aren’t we？ But that makes things a bit more fun, huh？」

🙞 “I suppose so. The more fun, the better, though,” she says this with a gentle whisper, wrapping an arm around Mukuro as her eyes scanned the pages alongside her. Maria got way too lucky, landing with someone who loved these kinds of books as much as she did. Sometimes, it felt like she was still dreaming. 🙝

🙞 “You know, Mukuro, the main character kind of reminds me of you a little bit.” That one just kind of slipped out of her mouth, but she was being genuinely honest at least. 🙝

   「Mmhm〜」 Answering with a small nod, her head tilting slightly for Maria to have an easier time accessing her neck for the kiss before straightening her head once again as Maria moved to sit beside her。 A smile on her lips as she nestled next to the blonde, it was true that when Mukuro was over she didn’t tend to read, 「it’s a collection of murder mysteries。 I picked it up a few days ago and I’ve been having a hard time putting it down。」

🙞 Maria smiled a little more, resting her head on the other shoulder as she read the pages alongside her. While she herself didn’t read to often anymore - she simply didn’t find as much entertainment in her library as much as she used to - she was always willing to read every once in a while. “Murder mystery, hmm? Never took you to like that sort of thing, but what do I know?” Maria laughs, “But all jokes aside, I guess we’re both full of surprises, huh?” 🙝
