SO THE SALAI ANGST I MENTIONED

Salaì didn't go through the door. Nope. Meaning in game time he's around 417-ish

As stated in the previous post, Leonardo says that lessers either go insane or turn against their masters Salaì definitely has some insane moments where he is losing hope and motivation to keep living, but he doesn't give into it.

Now we have no clue how long a lesser lives. The most common number that's been thrown around through the fandom is 700. I've even heard 500. But that doesn't REALLY matter in this context.

Either way, Salaì is the first one in the mansion that is dying. But he didn't realize this. He's getting sick easier. He's having to drink more rouge. He feels off. But he didn't think anything of it. If anything he thinks his body is aging. He didn't know how a vampires body works maybe he still ages, just very doesn't.

But after complaining a bit Leonardo puts two and two together and realizes that he's dying. Now his body could start this process and he could still have another 20 years. So there's no point in telling him and getting him to freak out. So he says nothing.

He never says anything. He wants Salaì to keep living life how he wants without writing if it could be his last day. But as he gets closer the symptoms get worse and worse. He gets more tired. It's like he's old but still in a 19 year old's body.

Salaì eventually figures out what is going on. He started to cough up blood and fell even worse. But he didn't know Leonardo knew, so he says nothing.

Leonardo becomes a DISASTER when he does die. He wasn't ready the first time which is why he turned him, and he's still not ready.

Now this causes everyone in the mansion to freak out a bit. Obviously they all have time before this happens, but now they know what it looks like. Plus, other than Will coming a few decades before, they all came within 5ish years of each other. Meaning this will all be happening to them at the same time.

Comte is seeing how badly this is affecting Leonardo and now he's not sure how he's going to handle everyone in the mansion passing

Everyone need to know the relationship between Salaì and Melzi 🤣

Oh GOD.

Salaì is hitting that boy with a steel chair.

If you don't know, Melzi was one of Leonardos apprentices. He took in Melzi in 1505, and is 11 years younger than Salaì, making him 39 years younger than Leonardo. Now if we go by ikevamp lore... Leonardo never had Melzi as an apprentice bc he went MIA after painting the last supper in 1499/1500, but Leonardo does mention Melzi in his Episode 0. WHICH MAKES NO SENSE

Anyway. Salaì HAAAATES Melzi. Even irl he hated Melzi. Salaì was jealous that Leonardo spent time with Melzi and gave him praise. Irl Leonardo has to make sure he put time aside to spend it with Salaì because he got so jealous.

Melzi came from a RICH family. His father was in politics which means Melzi was going to be as well but he wanted to learn how to paint for funsies.

Salaì hates the rich. Melzi would just spend money like it was never ending for him, and Salaì hated that. The boy steals.

If Vlad decided to bring Melzi back as a rival..it's on SIGHT. Salaì is throwing hands on the spot. Not even questioning how he's alive. Immediately fighting.

When Leonardo said that Melzi would be over, Salaì would then make sure to cover everything in cat fur bc I think it would be funny if Melzi was allergic.

Melzi would have to stay in the castle for his own protection.

Say his name and Salaì will pretend to vomit. He might be dead but Salaì still insults him. Leonardo just sighs and is like "he's dead...please leave him alone" and Salaì is like "nope. He deserves to suffer more"

Would 100% spit on his grave if he can find it.

Melzi is 100% the reason why Salaì bullies Comte. Both are blonde and rich. They are too similar. However Melzi was a little shit back since he was so much younger.

Imagine Salaì being 25 and having beef with a 14 year old. Because he does. Salaì has definitely stolen from Melzi. And Melzi knows it. Leonardo doesn't believe it

Melzi: HE STOLE FROM ME

Salaì: what proof do you have

Melzi: uhhh you are a THIEF???

Salaì: you have nothing I'd want

Leonardo: look. Yes he steals. But he hates you so much that I don't think he would ever want to touch your things

Salaì: exactly. Maybe you just lost it~

Salaì is borderline trying to kill Melzi. And Leonardo just sighs and occasionally breaks up their fights. Melzi IS doing his best to fight back. But like I said, he comes from a rich family, that boy hasn't had to work for much while Salaì is out here in bar fights weekly.

Modern times

Rather than finding yet another notebook of Leonardo's a notebook of Salaìs is found.

That notebook is filled with things Leonardo doesn't even know. It also confirms the two were a couple and historians are going crazy and his notebook is slowly being released and translated like Leonardo's

Salaì however...is panicking so hard.

Leonardo is finding things out and getting upset and Salaì is like "IT WAS 400 YEARS AGO LETS LET IT GO"

Meanwhile Theo was watching this like "damn..you both are very prone to losing things."

Salaì wants to steal the notebook back but just about everything has already been released to the public so there's no use.

New Salaì fact: boy went 500+ years without smoking. But now he has a nicotine addiction from weird flavored vapes.

He tried one of Leonardo's cigarillos when he was like 13, thought he was going to die and never tried it again, but then he tried a vape and went "fuck yeah this hits" and now he's as bad as Leonardo

Salaìs new plan to make Comte think he's crazy:

Buy fancy soap that looks like candy, then make identical chocolate versions and eats them in front of him.

He doesn't like sweets but he will do anything to make sure Comte thinks he is insane

As MUCH AS I LOVE Salaì and Leonardo being lovers the idea of them just having a father son relationship is HILARIOUS.

Leonardo: were going to walmart

Salaì: can I get snacks?

Leonardo: fine. Yes. You have a $50 limit on snacks

Salaì: YAY *only gets goldfish*

Always has a pocket full of goldfish or else he's just carrying the carton around eating it.

@lulu-the-smol-floof had the great idea that all his apprentices are his kids (tho Salaì and Melzi are the only ones who matter)

And Leonardo is just a tradesman who literally fixes EVERYTHING. Man is a plumber, electrician, everything. And he's going to fix it right the first time so that you don't have to worry about it again.

Plot twist? All 5 of his kids are coming along and you're probably going to have to feed them lunch.

Hell fix whatever you broke and his kids broke. No extra charge. They put a hole in your wall? He'll be back tomorrow to fix it. He needs to get the supplies.

There's no. "I'll be there somewhere between 11am and 4pm" he calls you and he's like "I'll be there at 1:37"

And there's a knock at your door at 1:37.

Salaì is asking for snacks constantly though.

Anyway. Leonardo got 5 fucking kids.

Leonardo: what did you learn today?

Salaì: how to use a staple gun!

Leonardo: ....

Leonardo: MELZI *runs off*

Melzi: *has his hand stapled to the wall*

Salaìs $50 worth of goldfish only lasts a week btw

Leonardo hates being a single teen mom (he's in his 30s and adopted all of these kids willingly)

I made a connection about Salaì last night. Not a good one. Feeling hurt time~

So remember that (former) prostitute Vincent fell in love with and wanted to marry?? But Theo is like wtf no you can't do that.

Well before Salaì got to the mansion he had to prostitute himself just to be able to get by.

So I'm wondering if Theo's opinion would change after finding that out.

So I've been thinking about this the last few days

I wasn't sure what Salaì would more so be like

Will use any brush with any kind of medium

Is VERY particular and annoying about using the right tools for every medium

And I've settled on:

When he first started he would use anything with anything..using any kind of brush with anything given to him. Using any varnish and mixing paint any which way.

How did he become so particular? With the amount of paintings he has ruined. He only learns the hard way.

He finally used the right kind of brush for oils and his world opens up and he understands. But he has to make this connection with absolutely everything.

Leonardo has to scold Salaì about being patient and using the right tools.

Salaì has a hard time letting layers dry and he's managed to fuck up so many paintings and just ended up taking up more time. Once he didn't wait long enough to varnish the painting and he started having a fit and Leonardo is gentle parenting him saying he needs more patience while he is trying to save the painting.

He eventually becomes a snob with art supplies. He HATES mixing his own paints but he does..and complains the whole time.
