I’m a day late, but it’s finally time to dive into Issue 1 of Imposter Syndrome!

(Also, because this is a new mini-series that was JUST started yesterday, beware of spoilers)

So picking up from where we left off, it’s revealed that Starline took some safety measures to ensure that he could control Surge and Kit…

Using the hypnosis ability he’s had since Bad Guys, Starline is able to put Surge and Kit to sleep and mess with their memories to make them do and think what he wants them to whenever they start to act up, which is kinda messed up for them, especially when we get into some other stuff later.

(Also, I like Surge’s face in that first panel, it’s a very good face :3)

Anyway, Starline then tells them to continue doing stuff to test their abilities such as setting a forest on fire (which we totally have never seen them do :3), and go mess with people in Central City. Once they’re finished, the three of them meet up at Tails’ place to try and break in, but…

Things get heated when they return to their base though, and Surge and Kit start to wonder why they feel the way they do and why they’re doing what they’re doing…

…oh. That… oh. Well, okay.

And just like his plan with the Zeti, Starline’s plan is already starting to fall apart a bit, but he takes this as a sign to be more precautious and careful with Surge and Kit.

And with that, Starline begins to tell them about their final test to break into an Eggman Base, and that’s it for Issue 1! I think this first Issue was pretty good, and I’m already growing to like both Surge and Kit, so I’m definitely interested to see where this series goes!
