it doesn't matter if Vigil spent most of the story in a hospital's bed he's still required by contract to have a cool yaoi cg each event

Who would win in a race?
INNNN THIS CORNER, “THROUGHOUT HEAVEN AND EARTH, HE ALONE IS THE HONORED ONE!” RHODES ISLAND’S UNDEFEATED STOOL-RACING CHAMPION AND THE CONVALLIS’ SPECIALEST BOY— ELITE OPERATOR LOGOS!

AND IN THIS CORNER, OUR CHALLENGER! PUTTING THE “HOT” IN “HOT WHEELS”, “WHERE THERE’S A WILL, THERE’S A WAY!” IT’S LATERANO’S SILENT KILLER, THE SEVENTH TRIBUNAL’S OWN— LEMUEN THE SILENT!

Okay, I know Vigil is bad, but Vigil's also been a huge help in clearing out some of my Annihilation runs. Similar to Santalla Vigil shines in longer content like Annihilation. When the gap between waves gives him more than enough time to get three wolves he's basically untouchable. Yeah, his wolves are squishy, but when the wolves are placed between a chokepoint of 3 meta damage dealers it just doesn't matter how squishy they are. By the time one wolf drops the wave is over and Vigil's got a replacement ready by the next round. His burst damage also means he's good at clearing out the chaff on the off chance your damage dealers are on cooldown for a hot second. Vigil has legit helped me clean up some Annihilation maps I've ignored, unironically.

The more I think about, the more I realize that this event's mechanics are probably to neuter Wis'adel spam.
Invisible enemies to prevent her massive AoE from one-shot-ing everything.
Enemies that aren't invisible have massive damage reduction so they can't be one-shot-ed.
Balloons that extend Carnevale Time more or less making Wis'adel waste her ammo.
A teleporting boss that makes her massive range kind of pointless.
This nonsense was annoying when they were trying to neuter Ch'alter in events and it's still annoying now.

Lavinia: Where are you going?
Ingrid: I dunno. Thought I’d go see my daughter.
Lavinia: You can’t just leave, I- *deep breath* I HAVE AN ARREST WARRANT for you.
Ingrid: An arrest warrant? Sounds cute, I’ll take it. Maybe frame it on my wall.
Lavinia: No! You do not understand, this is a serious thing. I will ARREST you the next time I see you. This is a serious thing. It’s a warrant for your arrest. To be taken into my- taken into police custody. The law demands it.
Ingrid: The law demands it?
Lavinia: That’s- that is correct!
Ingrid: Are you gonna punish me? Handcuff me? Lock me up?
Lavinia: I will act in accordance to the law.
Ingrid: I better brush up on the law then.
Lavinia: Do you think I’ll allow you to find some legal loophole to wiggle your way out of this?
Ingrid: Oh I look forward to wiggling around with you.
Lavinia: …
Ingrid giving the “I wanna fuck you in every way I can think of” look.
Lavinia: You’re aren’t taking this seriously are you?
Ingrid: Look, is your phone number on that warrant?
Lavinia: No.
Ingrid: Write it down and next time I’m in town well, I’ll call you and you can come arrest me. But expect me to…resist.
Lavinia as she writes it down: …Resisting arrest is a very serious offense-
Ingrid kisses her.
Lavinia: …
Ingrid: I’ll be back to resist arrest, Honorable Judge. But I will not resist you, Lavinia Falcone. Keep those handcuffs handy~
Lavinia: …
Lappland from a rooftop: HURRY UP AND FUCK, I’VE GOT POPCORN GETTING COLD!

Quick Thoughts of I Portatori dei Velluti (Gameplay)
Okay, finished up I Portatori dei Velluti's story. It was... okay. Sadly, it didn't really maintain the level of quality of Il Siracusano, but it wasn't terrible and had a fair amount of fun moments. I'll save my thoughts on the story for a later date, but in terms of the gameplay...
This is probably this most annoying event mechanic yet. Note that I said annoying and not frustrating (that's still Stultifera Navis for me). Invisible enemies just aren't fun to deal with and the damage reduction makes stages just take longer, nothing more.
I feel mixed about the Carnevale mechanic, I like the idea of a high-risk, high-reward double-edge sword you need to manipulate, but when it ultimately boils down to "get Carnevale Time to finally take out the invisible enemies" it just... feels secondary. I guess the Tsukinogi stans can finally revel in their resources now well spent at least.
Speaking of units curb-stomping this event, seriously, this really did feel made for Virtousa. Having Silverash at a decent choke point and Virtousa at the ready just decimated some of these maps.
Overall, a tolerable mechanic, but an annoying one nonetheless. Hopefully the EX stages make it interesting and it won't come back in future events. Or at least... not with damage-spongy, invisible enemies.

Man... is this the Lappland event or the Virtuosa event? I swear, with all the invisibility, damage reduction, and weird enemy spawning nonsense going on Virtuosa is basically sweeping these stages.
