Meizu M3 Note : A new challenger has launched in India

The Chinese consumer electronics firm, Meizu, has announced the beginning of the sales in India of its last creation: the M3 Note. It will be only available on Amazon India on May 31st and at a price of Rs 9.999. Successor of the M2 Note, the M3 is in competition against the LeEco Le 1s and the Redmi Note 3 and presents good features at a lower price that can satisfy the young who can’t afford a premium smartphone.

Design of the Meizu M3 Note

With an all new structure (available in 3 colors), the M3 Note gives up the polycarbonate of the M2 note for an Aluminum shell which gives more elegance and lightness to the phone. At the front we discover a 5.5 inches display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.

On top of the screen, we find the camera module, the proximity sensor and an ambient light. At the bottom of the phone, there is a physical home button which looks like a pill that is composed of a fingerprint scanner and is used as a back key on feather touch. With the fingerprint scanner we can unlock the phone and it is quick enough (a couple of seconds).

At the back, we find at the top and bottom the visible antenna bands. There is also the camera module, the LED flash and below the brand logo Meizu. Due to the smooth finish at the back, the M3 Note is slippery so a protective case can be good.

On the right side we find the power/sleep button and a volume rocker, the left edge is composed of the dual-SIM card tray and in one of the card slot we can put a SIM card or a micro SD card. The 3.5mm audio jack is situated on the top, whereas the micro-USB port is at the bottom, surrounded by the speaker grille.

The Meizu m3 Note’s display is composed of a brightness level that can notch up to 450 nits. As the specifications say it, the display is bright and with no issues under direct sunlight. However, there is a slight yellow tint on the screen but only when you encounter a white screen. However, there is a good viewing angles and the possibility to adjust the color temperature from warm to cold.

Hardware & Software

The 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor couple with the Mali T860 GPU are running the Meizu M3 Note. Only available with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM, the microSD card slot can be useful as a further expansion. The hardware combination should offer a smooth performance and we should not face any issues when starting apps or while multitasking

The OS of the Meizu M3 Note is the Android 5.1 Lollipop. The interface is slick and shouldn’t cause any trouble, but we will wait the review to know that.
