Accidental Siblings AU Headcanon #3

Some more ramblings for this fic of mine.

Being reincarnated with the body of a 5 y/o makes things more difficult than Bokushi lets on. He still retained all his knowledge and skills, but as a 5 y/o, sometimes he can be a bit clumsy. Like his coordination isn't always there, so he might drop or spill things because his body just refuses to cooperate with him (motor skills n all that), or since he's so used to being in the body of a 16 y/o, he may misjudge distance or height.

This is especially true in the case of basketball. He has to put extra strength into his passes and shots to make up for the lack of strength. And he pays extra attention when someone passes to him so he can catch it properly. So he REALLY becomes focused while playing to avoid rookie mistakes, but it takes a lot of effort on his part.

BONUS:

This is mainly just an afterthought, but I'm thinking about my own childhood and how back when my older siblings and I were kids, most of the plates and cups in our house were plastic and difficult to break. But now that we're adults, my mom has replaced all of it with glass/ceramic plates and cups since she doesn't have to worry about us dropping anything due to our lack of motor skills anymore. Imagine how funny it would be if Seijuro was doing that for Bokushi. 😂

And Bokushi would be so embarrassed by his lack of coordination because he's not a kid dammit but he just keeps dropping cups by mistake, and Seijuro doesn't want to trouble the staff by asking them to clean yet another pile of broken glass, and so his solution is to just get less breakable cups. At first, Bokushi was totally against the idea, but then he became somewhat appeased when Seijuro took him to the store and let him pick out whichever cups he wanted in whatever color he wanted. Only then did he finally give in.

I finally updated my Akashi fic

After six years of writer's block, I finally did it. I'm sure if you've been seeing my posts within the past few weeks, you'd know I was working on trying to update one of my old KNB fics, and now I think I'm finally comfortable with sharing it with everyone else.

The fic is called Accidental Siblings, based on fanart by one of my fave Akashi accounts, @clubakashi (they haven't posted in a long while, but I hope they're doing well). I liked this piece of fanart so much that almost eight years ago, I decided to make an AU where after the Jabberwock vs. Vorpal Swords match, Bokushi is reborn again but as a five-year-old child outside of Akashi's body that has retained all of his knowledge and memories from when he was still in Akashi's subconscious.

I actually wrote a lot for this story, but eventually, life got in the way, and the lack of official content from the KNB realm when the series officially ended just really put a damper on things. And I ended up moving away from the fandom for some time.

But now that I'm back and my passion for KNB has been reignited, I wanted to go back to finish old stories of mine, and this one was at the top of my priority list. So I dug up the latest unfinished chapter for this fic a few weeks ago and managed to complete it. The latest chapter (chapter 20) was written at two different time periods. The first 5k words were written when I was between the ages of 18 and 20 (I'm almost 25 now for context as to how long ago that was), and the last 6k words were written by me over the past two weeks. I only made minor edits to my old chapters in order to preserve the essence of my old writing style, but I did clean up the formatting and correct the timeline to match the canon just so it's an easier read.

Anyway, here's the link if anyone wants to start from Chapter 1, so I hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think! I would be fascinated to see how people perceive the writings of my jobless 17 y/o self. Go easy on me, though. 🤭

Kise didn't say that Kagami and Kuroko will for sure have to part way. He said that if the only thing Kuroko appreciate about Kagami is his attitude toward basketball then as soon as his attitude change, Kuroko will no longer appreciate him and they'll have to part way.

And he's right, because Kuroko and Aomine's bond was based solely on basketball and when they lost it, they stopped seeing each other as well. They said it themselves, outside of basketball they had nothing in common or great chemistry, they would not have been friends if they did not have the same passion. Sure, the care they have for each other and their bond is still important and real, but without basketball between them, Aomine and Kuroko had nothing to bond them together and they drifted apart.

When Aomine's attitude towards basketball changed, Kuroko no longer enjoyed spending time with him. Yes, Aomine abandoned Kuroko on the court when he grew strong enough, but we often forget that Kuroko abandoned Aomine off the court as well.

Kuroko is a victim like all miracles, but like them, he is not without faults either. And he knows that, he'll be the first to try and correct his mistakes and regrets.

When Kise sees for himself that the bond between Kagami and Kuroko already goes beyond basketball, he is reassured. He understands that the same thing won't happen, that even if Kagami changes, Kuroko will stays by his side and stop him.

Also Kuroko's 'look at these biceps' and 'yeah i forgot to think ahead', he's not even trying to be funny but his blunt honesty is hilarious.

uh um. i have zero regrets LMAO

i have some explanations and headcanons for their outfits.

I think Murasakibara wouldn't like a lot of things dangling off him (well i have very specific headcanons about him in general-) so he would dress more casually even on stage. Kise would beg him to hold the image but my guy just can't bring himself to be bothered🙏 also funny to think that Atsushi is prolly so tall that a bass guitar would look on him almost like a normal guitar😭 (i still had to make it bigger so it looked like bass.....)

On the contrary, I think Kuroko would be the one to /love/ things dangling off him. And also the one to go the wildest with piercings in various places HAHA, not particularly for the image but because he just enjoys them. (honestly. i think we should have more emo Kuroko. look at him he has so much potential.)

Akashi I think would enjoy certain harmonies in his outfits so he wouldn't go wild with piercings/accessories, but would include them if he feels like they would look good compositionally.

Accidental Siblings AU Headcanon #2

Just thinking about my Accidental Siblings fic, and I have this headcanon that Bokushi, despite detesting being on the receiving end of babying of any kind, is still very clingy to Seijuro because he's so used to sharing a body with him that he doesn't like the way it feels when they're apart.

So, like, if Seijuro were to talk to him as if he were a child, he would face Bokushi's wrath. But Seijuro has full freedom to put Bokushi in his lap, hold his hand, and carry him in his arms. Pretty much any type of skinship short of kisses is perfectly fine to Bokushi and, to an extent, is something he craves (only Mibuchi has kissing privileges x).

The thing is, Bokushi is bad at voicing things like this, so he'll never outright say he wants a hug or something. He'll kinda just walk up to Seijuro, look at him a certain way, and hope he takes the hint. Luckily for him, Seijuro is very perceptive, so he never has to worry about Seijuro not understanding what he wants, and Seijuro doesn't tease him for it, either. If he sees Bokushi wanting to cling to him, then he lets Bokushi cling without another word.

At first, Bokushi would only display this type of behavior if it was just him and Seijuro alone, but over time, he gets more comfortable being clingy wherever they happen to be. If they're out in town and Bokushi is tired of walking? No matter, he will simply turn to Seijuro and let himself be lifted into his arms.

If Bokushi is relaxed enough, he'll fall asleep, which Seijuro is secretly SO fond of because that means Bokushi trusts him to keep him safe and secure. Like, he'll feel the way Bokushi goes lax against him, and he just gets this overwhelming urge to protect. He very much loves being a big bro.

Anyway, I just wanted to put this out there because I had so much brainrot regarding this fic of mine that I just had to release it from the dungeons of my mind.

Team Rakuzan is a 16 year old most in need of therapy in the series(saying a lot cos this is knb), teenaged-grandpa who disappears despite his 180 cm/6ft, older sister who controls heaven and earth through basketball shots while looking prettier than kise, Hercules, & Raichu from pokemon, so a 5 year old child smarter than most is actually on the tamer side, I think!!

Of course it's tofu.

I love all of bokushi's childish moments so much??? Spilling his drink; being bored but not knowing what to do; getting absorbed in the video game; stubbornly refusing to shower and sleep, like all of these are things that my 6 year old cousin does and he's similarly very adorable and I-

He's written so well. He still retains Akashi's sensibility and smarts, but now put on a 5 year old = he doesn't know the shame/pressure that was put on, and built older akashi, meaning boku-chan can still just indulge in his childish stubbornness and curiosity without restrain. I hope I'm making sense here but the main point is you wrote this when u were my age?!?!!??

^ And that's all sweet and all but in the back of my mind I'm wondering what's going through akashi's head, technically watching a younger version of himself being spoiled, receiving the care and patience that he wasn't allowed as a child
