NEW REVIEW: Dan Henk - The Joke Is On Mankind (2025)
Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews we have a full story-by-story dissection of Dan Henk’s latest anthology ‘The Joke Is On Mankind’ (2025) which offers up thirteen cosmic horror-laced tales by some of the best authors the indie world has to offer.
The anthology is packed with some weird and utterly inspired stories. There’s tonnes of insanely compelling cosmic and bleak-as-hell horror in here. Definitely worth grabbing a copy and giving it a read.

NEW REVIEW: David Owain Hughes - Man Eating F*ckers (2017)
Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews we have a full blood-soaked dissection of David Owain Hughes’ novel ‘Man Eating Fckers’ (2017). The novel formed the gory sequel to the author’s ‘Man-Eating Fcks’ (2016), packing in more over-the-top violence and cannibal ferocity set in the heart of Wales.
Oh yes, there’s a hell of a lot of fun crammed into this one boys and girls!

NEW REVIEW: Richard Laymon - Your Secret Admirer (1980)
Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews we have an in-depth dissection of Richard Laymon’s increasingly hard-to-find early novel ‘Your Secret Admirer’ (1980). Written under the pseudonym of Carl Laymon, the novel is a classic coming-of-age story, with a Richard Laymon sinister undertone to it.

NEW REVIEW: David Owain Hughes - Man-Eating F*cks (2016)
Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews we have a full in-depth dissection of David Owain Hughes’ novel ‘Man-Eating Fcks’ (2016). The novel has recently been rereleased within a special 10th Anniversary Hardcover edition by Hellbound Books titled ‘All The F*cks’ (2025). However, because the hardback version contains additional short stories which slot in after the third volume in the series, a review of the hardback edition will follow in due course (once DLS have read and reviewed Books 2 and 3). Gotta read the stories in the correct order!!!

Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews we have a full story-by-story dissection of French Press Publishing’s werewolf anthology ‘Strange New Moons’ (2025). Oh yes, it’s an anthology that not only howls from the pages but also throws the reader into unchartered realms of lycanthropy fiction…

NEW REVIEW: Matt Shaw - The Challenge (2024)
Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews we have a full dissection of one of the most disgusting books to be reviewed on the website. Matt Shaw is certainly no stranger to extreme horror and indeed truly nauseating elements within his books. However, even for Shaw, his novel ‘The Challenge’ (2024) takes things to some pretty horrendous depths of vileness and depravity.
This one comes with a DLS warning. Take heed. This is some sick and twisted reading…

NEW REVIEW: Matt Shaw - Sick B*stards: Everywhere (2024)
Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews is a full dissection of the final instalment into Matt Shaw’s highly revered ‘Sick B*stards’ series, with the prequel ‘Sick B*stards: Everywhere’ (2024). It’s another slab of ultra-violent extreme horror, wrapping the series up with a prequel which sets down how the whole gruesome ‘Sick B*stards’ scenario came about. As a side note, your handsome reviewer from DLS Reviews appears in this final instalment too! No spoilers as to what happens to me though…

Next up on DLS Reviews we have a full dissection of G.P. Nedloh’s debut novella ‘The Woodlice’ (2025). For fans of Guy N Smith’s pulp horror creature features, this tale is every bit as good as it sounds. A plague of skittering, crawling, over-sized woodlice, hungry for human flesh…

NEW REVIEW: J.R. Park - The Company Of Words (2021)
Tumblr media
Next up on DLS Reviews we have a full dissection of J.R. Park’s monstrously original and utterly unnerving novella ‘The Company Of Words’ (2021). It’s another ingeniously creative offering exhibiting everything that Park does best with his writing.
