Bridge in the Country by Dan Seitzinger - 6-26-19
Good morning and Happy Friday... This work was inspired by my daily walks... I'll often go out for some exercise and take a lovely walk outdoors. Usually it is nearby my studio, but, I'll sometimes drive off to farther locations I have discovered over time, They have much beauty to me and I consider them my secret sanctuary, so to speak. I'd noticed many lovely flowers blooming late into the year, although it Summer, we are having some strange weather here. It;s like springtime weather in the summer. So, we did have a very hot heat wave that lasted about a week or so, but, it's been quite cool here lately. So, seeing this late spring with blooming flowers all around got me thinking about pastoral places I'd seen and imagined this view of a lovely countrysides with a cobblestone bridge. Most likely the Flamingos wouldn't be here, but they do bring out the pink in the sky and scene and add a little interest to the detail of the composition. So, here it is! Thank you for looking :-) You Artist Friend, Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Garden Pathway - By Artist Dan Seitzinger - 6-18-19 - Signed
Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you've all made it through the week okay, so far! I started this artwork a few days ago, on Sunday (Fathers Day). I've just now finished it this morning! I got this composition last week, in my head, and just had to make it before I forgot what I envisioned... I've been taking allot of walk and seeing many beautiful flowers blooming all over the place, so it gave me this idea for this scene... I'm already thinking about a new one already, even though I'd just finished this one. So, my mind is working overtime! Anyway, I hope you like this one and I better start putting down my new ideas before they disappear. Thank you for all of your support and lovely comment and I hope you all have a beautiful rest of your week ahead, take care! :-) Artist Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Wolf Mountain Scene by Dan Seitzinger...
Here is my end of the week submission, for today... I'm doing some more wildlife scenes lately, I guess you can say I'm on a roll with them! So, this one I'd named “Wolf Mountain”, simple huh! FYI: These landscapes do take quite a bit of time to complete. Although, they have much realism they are not photographs, but something that I create on my digital art workstation. Of course, sometimes I paint them, use them as a reference, but, these are not photographs. Also, it is not just merging random photos, or images with Photoshop, and/or Paint-Shop Pro. These are complex 3D digital renderings that I create on my digital art workstation. It takes approximately 6-8 hours, give or take, to make one. This includes the compositional setup, rendering and mastering time. Lighting and Atmospheres can also be somewhat complex when attempting to properly emulate the look of a natural environment. Since I've seen so many photographs, both my own and others, it give me a since of what looks good or realistic when I make a scene such as this. I do think that my experience of taking photos, as well as painting, both traditionally and digitally, has also helped me when I create these on my computer. Anyway, I do hope you are all looking forward to this weekend and I hope you like this scene too! Take care and have a lovely rest of your day!! :-) Your artist friend, Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Snowy Winter Forest by Dan Seitzinger - 6-7-19
It's FRIDAY, YAY!! So, I've just finished this lovely forest scene... I had it completed, mostly last night, but, felt that it needed some more mastering and finely wrapped it up this morning. Okay, do you notice how the deer has some soft light on her left side, opposite the sun? That is because it is reflecting off the snow and/or water. As you may know, light comes in all forms in the natural world. Such as, (direct light), light directly from the source, be it the sun, or a lamp for example. There is also (transmitted light), light that traveling through a medium, such as clouds or glass for example. The light I'm talking about here is called (reflected light), light that is bouncing off an object or is dispersed off a reflective surface, like water, a window, or something reflective, as the name states. I believe when painting or creating a scene, especially landscapes, I'll try to think of what would light do here. FYI: Light is a form of electro-magnetic energy, or (EM), although, visible light is only a very small portion of the EM spectrum, or what is known as the “Electromagnetic Spectrum”. Sorry, I didn't mean to get all technical on you. But, the physical world and Physics as a science is really cool! I've always liked the subject of both Astronomy and Physics and when I was younger Id' watch PBS shows like Carl Sagan's Cosmos on TV. Also, if you are going to paint light, I really do believe it's a good thing to know something about it! I like to learn and try to understand the technical properties of what I'm painting... Anyway, I hope you like this wildlife artwork. Have a lovely Friday ya all, and I hope you have an even more beautiful weekend my friends, take care!! :-) Your artist friend Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Window to the Soul - Eye Study sketch in Pencil by Dan Seitzinger -6-1-19
Here is another pencil sketching that I drew last night... I named it “Window to the Soul”, and it is a human eye study, and practice. FYI: Years ago I would doodle and draw sometimes, with pens and pencils, even before I started getting into painting. I guess I'm going back to my roots so to speak, with drawing and sketching. As I've said in the past, I love to try new mediums and create art in different ways, I find it interesting and challenging and it keeps my interest in art alive. Doing the same thing over and over would be boring to me! Even though sketching on paper isn’t really new for me, it's been a little while since I've done it, so it is refreshing to re-visit doing this work again. Anyway, I hope you are all having a great weekend today, take care my friends! :-) Artist Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Young Ladies Hand Dawn Portrait in Pencil by Artist Dan Seitzinger - 5-30-19
Hello and TGIF everyone! Here it is, that young ladies portrait that I'd hand drawn in my sketch tablet with a standard #2 pencil. This is not something I normally do, but like I was talking about on that Youtube video I recorded, it' just really a matter of getting the proportions of the face correct and shading. This is the most challenging thing about drawing the human face, but, there are tricks and techniques to getting a relatively detailed portrait. I'd watched many YouTube videos over the years about painting and drawing people, wanting to learn how. I self studied how to draw the eyes, mouth and face, just by watching other artist do it and practice when I had time... Anyway, I did this mostly to again practice drawing people and to answer the question from someone who follows me as a landscape artist... They asked me on Facebook, if I do more that paint landscapes and if I can paint or draw people too. So, the answer is Yes! Painting is really drawing with a brush, right!! It's just a matter of getting the composition, proportions and values of everything correct. So, thank you for looking and watching my little video I posted a day or so ago and I hope you like this drawing too. Take care! :-) Artist Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Soft Pastel Landscape on paper by Artist Dan Seitzinger - 5-26-19...
Hello again everyone... So, I'd shared a little preview of this drawing, where I was attempting to make a more gray and stormy sky, with a little more softness in the whole drawing. I used oil pastels and chalk with some color pencils. Yes, it's mixed-media. Anyway, it more of a study than anything. Not a ground-breaking composition, quite simple really... Also, I didn't use my exaggerated or saturated colors, I tried to make it more realistic, or more monotone, in that since. I just wanted to see if if could get a little more realism out of this medium. Also I get good practice doing this artwork to boot. Thank you for looking and any constructive feedback is welcome, thanks.... Artist Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Name: “Farm in the Mustard Field”...Good Friday everyone!! So, I haven’t done any digital work in some time, so I turned on my computer and decided to make a farm scene... Some, think that digital work is easy, but I can tell you there is much work involved. I do use these renders sometimes to paint by, a reference... But this scene was time consuming to create, never the less! If you don't have a good eye for composition and other artistic understanding, it really doesn’t matter how you make the picture, if it is done badly. Anyway, I hope you like this one, it reminds me of home a little. Take care!! Artist, Dan Seitzinger – My website: www.danseitzinger.com

Mountain Lake View - Pastel Landscape by Dan Seitzinger - 5-21-18
Okay, so I've finished this Oil Pastel artwork that I talked about in my last Youtube video... I've named it “Mountain Like View”. Anyway, I'm experimenting with different techniques for making rocks and mountains... It' seems that this looks better than the way I was doing it before... Especially on the mossy foreground rock on the left side. By using an Exacto Knife the proper way, it seems to have a similar effect to using the painters knife, with paint to add detail to the rocks. I just have to be careful and not cut the paper while using the knife. I hope you like this one, I'm sure learning allot doing them. Take care my friends and thanks for looking!! Home on the Range - by Artist Dan Seitzinger
I've always wanted to paint a scene with Buffalo, or Bison in it... So, what do you think? Is this a good way to complete this sky that I'd painted in Acrylic paint? Let me know! Anyway, I hope you are all off to a great week thus-far! Take care :-) Your Artist Buddy, Dan Seitzinger - My website: www.danseitzinger.com
