When I say   “take as long as you need to reply!“   i mean it!  There’s never any pressure here to write when you aren’t feeling it. I’m not sitting at my computer judging you or thinking badly of you if you haven’t replied, yet. I understand irl stuff comes first. I understand people are dealing with a lot right now. I understand that life tends to sap energy and inspiration. It’s okay. 

So, if you’re writing with me, here’s a genuine reminder that you can always take your time. You can always drop things, and slide into my im’s to let me know you don’t have the energy/time/muse for things. I’ll never take it personally. I understand. It figured Gwen would've been home by now, but since Ben constantly just showed up unannounced to her house, she had no way of knowing Ben was gonna swing by the day she agreed to stay after school for some sort of extra judo practice or something. It already forgot and just complained. Waiting around her house for another hour was gonna be annoying, but whatever. It'd play on its phone in the mean time.

The knock on the door made it look up, stare, and realize that definitely isn't anyone who lives here since they would've just unlocked the front door... It pockets its phone, opens the door, and immediately starts to blurt out, "First of all, thanks for not breaking down the door if you're a bad guy. My aunt will kill me if any property damage happens to her house while I'm here. And second-"

"Can I help you?"

A smoothie outing with its cousin with nothing going wrong, and nothing horrific happening was an odd occurrence, for sure. In fact, the last three days had been uneventful. Painfully, uneventful. It was an extremely normal and peaceful three days.

And Ben was getting antsy.

It sucked extremely loudly, trying to get the last bits of its smoothie before going for a third, and glanced over to Gwen. "So... Pretty weird that nothing has like...tried to kill me...or take the Omnitrix...or try to take over the world...or try desperately to get either of our autographs... Real chill. ..." It sighed, very obviously bored. It stays quiet for a moment, then blurts out—

"You ever think Vilgax looks at fried calamari and goes 'you're all ANIMALS' or something?"

—...whatever the hell that was supposed to mean.

"Happy birthday, Dweeb!" she has gone overboard with gifts, as usual, but hands over a gift bag with the latest sumo slammers game and a new jacket she thought It would like : in the signature green. - @manaborn

It lets out the highest pitched screech when it opens its birthday gift. Admittedly, that's the common Ben reaction to anything new from Sumo Slammers (it showed no shame when the commercial for the Sumo Slammers movie was revealed and its squealed out loud).

"I can't believe you got it! AAAAAAAAAAH!" After it spends another solid minute saying thank you and squealing, it sees the new jacket in the bag, and its bright eyes light up more so. "Oh this looks SICK!"

There's no waiting for this guy and it tries it on and looks at itself, then puts its arms up. "And I look SICK in it! Thanks doofus! You always know what I like!" It chuckles, then its expression softens. "Thanks Gwen. Happy birthday to you too."

"Hey! Careful! You might push down my adorable fluff of hair! Takes me forever to sleep right to get it to look like this!"

It's laughing, vaguely brushing down its hair with its hands, but the gesture was useless; the hair didn't look any different after Ruby messed it up, or when it 'fixed it.' Then it crosses its arms over its chest, glancing up to Ruby's eyes, smirking.

"Actually, you have to be SUPER nice to me! Like fourteen billion times nicer than you already are!"

It comically bats its lashes to her, inhumanly green eyes shining up at her, still snickering. "So... I think you should get me a birthday smoothie. Because it's my birthday..." Cue its index finger poking at its cheek. Upping the ante on how annoying it could act.
