Topper say laughing

"She was a bitch. Talked bad about the little thorn in my side couldn't have that."

He said throwing his arm around your waist. You started blushing again.

When Friday rolled around you went home and started getting ready for the kegger you put on a yellow sun dress and did your hair and make up.

JJ was drunk that much was obvious and when JJ was drunk he was usually angry or got there very easily. Tonight though, he was already angry, you two had been having issues lately, it seemed like you would argue over anything and everything. But, that's how you and JJ had always been when it was good it was great but when it was bad it was awful to say the least. You two over all were a very happy couple but, like every couple you have rough patches every once in a while that was to be expected after dating for three years.

"Babe I think that's enough."

You tell him after he goes to grab another beer

"Ugh get off my back mom."

He says rolling his eyes

You got up and walked over to John B

"Hey Y/N, want a drink."

He says holding a red solo cup out in front of you.

You nod at him and walk up the beach to the château. Grabbing a bottle of water you walk back down to the beach still feeling a little dizzy but you hoped the water would help with that. As you were walking you lost your balance and braced yourself for an impact that never came you looked up to see Kelce holding you waist he helps you stand up straight.

You say smiling at him

You say chucking and walking away when JJ came up to you and grabbed your arm and taking you to the château.

He says with venom in his voice

With that you walk out the door.

JJ never called you so you never called him. The pouges split their time with the two of you like you were their parents who had gotten divorced. Today was your day but you weren't feeling good still so they all came over to your house.

"You don't feel warm."

Pope says feeling your forehead

"Is it that your heart is sad?"

Sarah says

"Sarah stop talking to me like I'm five. No it's not JJ I've been feeling shitty since before the break up."

Kie raised her eyebrow at you

"What do you mean?"

"I've been nauseous, dizzy, I've thrown up a couple of times."

"When was your last period?"

She says. You thought about it for a second your eyes went wide.

"Oh shit."

You say looking at her

Kie and Sarah go down to the pharmacy and buy a couple of pregnancy tests.

"Here."

Kie says throwing them on the bed when they return

"We will be here when your done."

You nod at them and go into the bathroom and take the test.

You look at the test in your hands and throw it in the trash along with the others as you walk out into your bedroom and look at all the pouges (minus JJ of course) but you can't see them through the tears that are threatening to fall any second. John B looks up when he hears you walk out and immediately knows the answer. He gets up and hugs you the second your pressed into his chest the tears start falling freely.

"It's okay, we will figure this out."

"B-but JJ."

You say sobbing

"We will cross that bridge after you have a second to wrap your head around this."

Pope says joining the hug and then the girls join in. When the hug ends everyone sits back down you lay down with your head in Kie's lap and your legs in Sarah's.

"What am I gonna do?"

You ask quietly

"What ever you do we support your decision, we won't judge you."

Sarah says

"What about JJ?"

You ask again

"We won't tell him til your ready."

John B says

"I'm gonna keep the baby with or with out JJ."

You say looking at them

"Then we support you 110%, babe."

Sarah says

"I'm gonna have to figure out how to tell him, he's the dad, he deserves to know. If you guys could give me like two maybe three weeks to figure out how to tell him."

"Like I said, JJ won't know til your ready for him to know."

John B says smiling at you. You knew how hard this was going to be for him, for all of them really, but JJ was his best friend, more like his brother, they don't keep secrets from each other.  You knew you had to figure out fast how to tell him before John B slipped up.

Two weeks later you were stuck in the same boat of not knowing how to break the news to JJ about the baby situation so, you texted the only person who knew JJ as well as you did, John B. Little did you know today was guys night so JJ was over at JB's they were playing a video game when his phone dinged, John B paused the game and grabbed his phone.

"Dude it's guys night, text Sarah later."

JJ said snatching his phone

"What does it say any ways 'oh John B-' wait why did Y/N text you?"

"JJ give it back."

John B says jumping towards him to grab the phone before JJ could read the message but JJ jumped on the table and held the phone above his head.

"No JB. Why the hell did Y/N text you."

Pope says also trying to get the phone JJ looked for an escape so he could read the message. He looked over and saw the bathroom door wide open so he takes off toward it slamming the door and locking it. He opens John B's phone.

‘Any ideas on how to tell JJ about the baby?’

He had to reread the message three times to make sure he read it right. He walks out the bathroom with red eyes

"You two are supposed to be my best friends."

"J-"

"No, Pope, this isn't some stupid little secret this is the biggest secret and you two kept it from me."

"JJ, we wanted to tell you man but it wasn't our secret to tell. You are our best friend but we also love Y/N, you would do the same thing for Sarah or Kie and we all know it."

John B says. JJ went over to the couch and sat down with his face in his hands.

"I really fucked up guys."

JJ says looking at them

"Yeah you did dude but, we still love you no matter how bad you fuck up"

"I want to get her back I want to be a good dad for the baby. I want both of them."

"Then you better go get them."

JJ grabs his stuff and leaves his friends standing there proud and maybe a little confused to how he was going to manage to pull this one off.

About an hour after you texted John B he called you

"I'm sorry."

You ask him trying to stay calm

He started only to be cut off by a banging on your door downstairs

You say hanging up on him. You walk downstairs and open the door to see JJ standing there with a bouquet of daisies and your favorite chocolate you raise your eyebrows at him.

He says grabbing your waist and rubbing his thumbs across your belly

When JJ left for work this morning Asher was still asleep he didn't sleep very well and ended up in yours and JJ's bed at 2 o'clock in the morning so you waited til about ten to wake him up.

"No Mama. I want Daddy."

He cried the second he opened his eyes and saw you smiling at him.

"Baby, Daddy is at work. He'll be home before you know it though."

You brush his hair out of his face but when your fingers brush his forehead you feel how hot he is.

"Asher baby do you not feel good."

He shook his head

"Okay my love lets go take your temperature."

You pick him up from the bed and take him to the kitchen you sit him in on the counter as you reach above him to grab the thermometer.

"No Mommy, I don't want that I want my daddy."

"Ash, I understand you want your daddy but your stuck with Mommy right now so please let me take your temperature."

He shook his head. Asher got like this when he was sick he would cling to you or JJ and didn't want anyone else.

"How about this bub you let me take your temperature and we will call Daddy and see if he can talk."

He looked at you thinking about it for a minute before he slowly nodded his head and opened his mouth. When you pulled out the thermometer it read 102 degrees. You grimace but don’t say anything.

"Okay little one thank you for being a big boy, let's call daddy, yeah?"

You pick him up and take him to the couch where you pulled out your phone FaceTimed JJ. To your surprise the second JJ answered the phone Asher busted into tears.

"Hey bud what's wrong?"

JJ asked concern evident in his voice and eyes.

"Daddy I no feel good."

Your little boy sobbed. JJ looked at you.

"He's got a 102 fever and of course he only wants his daddy."

JJ nods you see him turn to one of his employees

"Hey my kid is sick can you handle today with out me?"

He asked.

"Yeah man I hope the kid feels better."

You hear the older man named Earl who worked for JJ say.

"Hey bubba, daddy will be home in ten minutes okay."

Asher brightens up a little at that. Everyone say goodbye and then JJ hangs up.

"Mommy?"

"Yes my love?"

"Can we watch Mickey Mouse until Daddy gets here?"

"That sounds like a good idea."

You turn on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Asher sits in your lap. You enjoy it while it lasts knowing that the second JJ gets here Asher will only want him. And just as he said ten minutes later you hear the front door open.

"Daddy."

Asher says not trying to leave your lap but reaching his arms towards JJ. He immediately walks over and grabs Asher and kisses both of your foreheads.

"My poor little boy."

He says sitting down with Ash cuddled into his chest.

"I'm gonna go make some soup for him."

You say rubbing Asher's back. You run into the kitchen and grab a can of chicken noodle soup and warm it up on the stove. When the soup is warmed you take it to the living room where JJ feeds it to Asher blowing it off before feeding it to him. After a few minutes of eating Asher turns his head to JJ's chest.

"Daddy icky."

He cries.

"I know baby-"

Before he finishes his sentence Asher had thrown up on him. JJ looks at his shirt then at his son who is now wailing.

“Well I didn’t think that was going to happen.”

"I'm sorry Daddy."

He cries

"It's okay baby I promise. Hey babe, come get Ash he needs a bath and I need to take a shower."

You come into the room from cleaning up the kitchen to see Asher crying and JJ trying to comfort him without getting more puke on your son.

"It's okay I was going to give him one after he finished his soup anyways."

You say trying to make both of your boys feel better. You walk up to Asher grabbing him and putting him on your hip luckily JJ had taking his clothes off so now he only had a pull up on so you didn’t also end up with puke on you.

"Okay baby boy let's get you cleaned up."

You run a cool bath for him.

"You want bubbles lovie?"

He shakes his head

"Okay what about you bath toys?"

He shakes his head

"I just want my daddy."

He says tears welling up in his eyes

"Oh I know, my love, your daddy will be in here real soon."

you set him in the bath tub hoping it will help him feel better but he's still crying. You finish his bath.

"Daddy."

He cries trying to get JJ to come to him.

"Baby, Daddy has to take a shower it might take him a minute why don't me and you lay down for a quick nap?"

He nods his head you lay him in the middle of the bed and crawl in next to him. You turn on Sponge Bob hoping that will help lift his spirits but no such luck. You run your fingers through his hair til he slowly falls asleep. You sigh in relief as JJ walks in. He goes to pick him up to place him on his chest.

“JJ Maybank I just got the child to stop crying if you wake him up we won’t be able to have another one.”

JJ nods and climbs in on the other side of Asher

“My poor boy.”

He says stroking his hair

“I hate when he’s sick.”

He continues

“Your lucky you own the mechanic shop, an employee would have never gotten away with leaving over a little fever.”

You say teasing him

“I would let any of my people leave if their kid had a fever no matter how small.”

He says seriously

“I know you would, it’s one of the things I love about you, but most bosses aren’t like you.”

You reach over Asher and stroke JJ’s cheek. He leans over Ash to kiss you.

“Daddy you came back.”

You hear a little voice in between you say

“Of course I did. I could never leave my baby boy that long.”

He says looking at him with sad eyes he picks Asher up and lays him on his chest.

“You feel any better bud?”

JJ asks

“No”

He says softly

“Okay Ash well you go back to sleep and I promise when you wake up I’ll be right here.”

JJ says rubbing Asher’s back. After a few minutes Ash falls back asleep and JJ looks at you with hurt eyes.

“Why didn’t he think I wasn’t coming back?”

“Babe he’s sick and you weren’t here when he woke up this morning and then he got sick on you and you took a long shower. And he didn’t mean it the way you’re taking it.”

“I went to clean up the mess I forget how clingy he gets when he’s sick, God I’m an awful father.”

“JJ Maybank you are the best father in the whole world, you are the only person who could calm Asher down all day, you didn’t freak out when he puked on you, he loves you more than anything in this world. And by the way thank you for cleaning up the mess.”

You say kissing his cheek

“Well in know you hate puke so I did it.”

He says looking down at Asher flushed face against his chest

“We should have another one.”

“Another baby? Ash being sick is what made you come to this conclusion?”

"Yup it's my turn and I didn't complain when you have made us watch all the Lord of the Ring movies so you can't complain about Hamilton."

You walk over to the kitchen and pop popcorn for everyone and then walk to the living room and sit on JJ's lap.

As it starts you let out a little squeal and then put your full attention on the screen. Then Aaron Burr, Sir comes on. You sit up a little straighter giving the screen your undivided attention and as Hamilton and Burr walk into the bar.

You say not taking your eyes off the screen

Sarah says looking at you bewildered

John B adds

And that's how you spent the next few minutes arguing over which man was the hottest.

JJ had been sitting there silently through the argument but you hadn't even noticed.

He says only half playing

You say as you grab his hand and tell the other pouges bye.

You say happily

It all started with a party at the boneyard, that is where most of the shenanigans on Kildare Island started. You and the other pouges were throwing a kegger and as per usual, everyone was there from kooks to pouges to tourons. You were sitting talking with Pope and Sarah while your boyfriend, JJ and older brother, John B served drinks to everyone. You watch as people grabbed drinks some being overly flirty with JJ and/or John B. It was nothing you couldn't handle you knew your boyfriend was attractive so you were used to people hitting on him, it never bothered you, at least not that much. That was until one of his exes, Alex, the one who until you, he was with for the longest amount of time. You didn't like to think of yourself as a jealous person, however, when she walked away from him giggling with her friend about how he 'obviously still wanted her' it cause you to clench your fist in anger. Sarah looked at you with raised eyebrows.

"You okay there Y/N?"

She asked

"Never better Sarah."

You respond maybe a little to harshly.

After a while JJ came over to you three and sat down next to you grabbing your hand and placing them on his leg,you feel yourself calming down. You smile at him, all the jealousy from before forgotten about or at least that's what you thought until, Alex walked up to you two.

"Excuse me hun, can I steal JJ for a minute."

She said looking at you with a pseudo sweet smile.

"Sure."

You say throwing her your own fake smile. JJ got up letting go of your hand and kissed your head before he walked away with her, as you sat with your friends fuming.

“Since when did I join the fucking bachelor?”

You say to Pope and Sarah. Who simply shrugged their shoulders knowing that you needed a minute to calm down.

"Hey did you guys see JJ walk away with Alex?"

John B said walking up to the rest of you. Sarah and Pope shake their heads at him trying to get him to stop talking, he obviously didn’t know how close you were to exploding.

"Yes John B were not stupid we were sitting with him."

You say crossly to your brother who stood there dumbfounded.

"I'm sorry Y/N/N. I was just surprised you let him is all."

He said

“JJ is his own person he can do what he wants.”

You snap at him. You shouldn’t have he’s trying to make you feel better that’s all any of them were doing. You look down suddenly feeling very crappy about the way you spoke to your friends.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to snap, you know what they say about the ugly green monster. I didn't mean to take it out on you guys."

You say

"You fine boo."

"Don't worry about it"

"No problem"

You hear the others tell you. Leaning your head on John B's shoulder you let your eyes slip close for a few minutes, only opening them when you feel yourself getting moved into a new set of arms you look up to see Pope smiling at you. You smile back, putting your head on his shoulder and letting your eyes close again but you didn't fall asleep just rested your eyes.

"I see your little whore has already moved on J."

You hear a snarky voice say, you didn't need to open your eyes to know exactly who it was. You tense up Pope was a brother to you, you loved him like you did John B.

"I can't believe she would act like that when she has the best prize already."

She continues

"That's enough Alex, Pope is like a brother to Y/N. Leave her alone."

JJ defends you.

"I wouldn't be to sure about that JJ wasn't too long ago you were 'like a brother to her'. If I remember correctly that's what she told me when I asked her if she had a crush on you while we were dating."

You stiffen even more in Pope's arms. Your eyes were still closed you wanted to hear what else she would say and what else JJ would say. Pope ran his hand up your arm.

"She's just jealous don't give her the satisfaction of getting mad."

He whispers in your ear

You took a deep breath. Pope was right she was just trying to get under your skin and she was doing a very good job at it.

"JJ come with me to get a drink?"

She asked sweetly.

"No thanks, I'm gonna stay here for a bit."

JJ sounded annoyed and maybe a little uncomfortable, you hated that JJ sounded uncomfortable but you could finally relax in Pope's arm, happy that JJ choose to stay with you over her.

"Come on J, I'll make it worth your wild, it's been a minute, I've missed you."

You trusted JJ you knew he would never cheat on you or do anything to jeopardize your relationship but, when you heard this your stomach dropped in fear, what if he decided you weren’t good enough anymore, what if he decided he would rather be with her than you, the thought made you want to cry. You open your eyes to see her rubbing her hand up and down his thigh and JJ looking very uncomfortable.

Alright nope that's the line she found the line you stand up storming over to her ready to start fighting when JJ grabs your waist.

"Alright feisty pants"

He said holding you back.

"Okay, okay, I'm fine"

You say stopping struggling and putting your hands in the air. JJ lets go of your waist and the second he does you start hitting Alex who had gotten up when you stormed over but, apparently wasn't smart enough to walk away. You got a few good punches in so did she after you hit her in the nose you feel arms around your waist again pulling you away from Alex but you keep trying to fight.

"Hey Y/N, that's enough baby, stop."

You hear JJ's voice in your ear but you keep struggling.

"Princess please stop."

You finally stop hearing him call you that damn nickname that made you weak in the knees. You glare at him angry tears threatening to fall he picks you up and you wrap your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. You shove your face into his neck as your tears start to stream down your face.

"Y/N what the hell was that?"

Your brother started to scold you

"Not right now JB. Yell at her tomorrow if you need to she's had a rough night."

Sarah tells him

"JJ go get her fixed up, we will stay here and clean up after everyone leaves"

She says JJ nods and start to carry you to the château.

When you arrive he sets you on the counter in the bathroom.

"Wanna tell me what that was all about?"

You wipe your eyes and shake your head.

"Okay then."

He grabs the first aid kit usually used when him, John B, and occasionally Pope, got into a fight.

"She only got a few good hits in, nothing serious but that eye is definitely gonna bruise."

He said going to the kitchen to grab an ice pack when he gets back he hands it to you.

"I got jealous and a little overprotective."

You say softly

He chuckles

"You don't say."

"Shut up."

He smirks at you

"It's just she's very pretty, I hate to say it but she is and I don't know, she asked you to go on a walk and then she started trash talking me then she brought Pope into it and then had the audacity to rub your leg and make you uncomfortable and I just I lost it JJ. And even the thought that she might be able to take you away from me breaks my heart."

You say as more tears fall down your face in frustration.

"Baby she is pretty but she's got nothing on you. You are the most beautiful person I've ever seen, on the outside don’t even get me started cause I could go on for centuries about your beauty, but baby inside you are the most kind, generous, beautiful, person I know. Princess I don't want you getting into fights and getting hurt on account of you wanting to protect me, although it was incredibly hot, please don’t do it again."

"I'm sorry I went a little crazy on her."

He finished wrapping your knuckles and kissed your hand.

"It's okay baby it's not the first time one of us two got into a fight with someone cause they got to handsy with the other, remember that touron boy?"

"Do I remember him? JJ it took John B and Pope to get you off him we thought we were going to have to get Kelce to help. You almost killed that poor boy."

He rolled his eyes

"Okay way to be dramatic princess. I just taught him and the rest of Kildare that your mine and they shouldn't touch you."

“I love you.”

You tell him.

“I love you too more than you will ever know.”

You smile and kiss him.

"John B is going to kill me tomorrow isn't he?"

You say when you pull away from him.

"Oh you can bet your bottom dollar he is."

You hear John B yell from the other side of the door.

Okay so this is based off the second verse of That Would Be Enough from Hamilton, it's one of my favorite Hamilton songs and I ship Eliza and Alexander so much.

You were a kook, not only that you were a Cameron so you were kook royalty, and somehow you managed to fall in love and marry the pouge king himself JJ Maybank. And as it would seem when a pouge king and a kook princess fall in love sooner or later will come a little pouge/kook baby. Looking at the test in your hands that read 'pregnant' you started to smile, you had wanted a baby since you were a little girl the only problem was, you didn't know how JJ would feel about the new addition to your family. You hoped he would be happy but you also knew how Luke treated him growing up. So after about a week of knowing and trying to figure out how to tell JJ you decided to just tell him one night over dinner.

When JJ got home from work, at his mechanic shop, you had dinner almost ready.

"Smells good baby, I'm gonna take a shower real quick."

He said kissing you on the cheek.

Right as you were done setting the table you heard loud footsteps running down the stairs.

“You made it just in time I don’t have to start without you.”

You say to him smiling.

He kisses you on your forehead

“You’d never start without me you love me to much.”

“Well you got me there Maybank.”

You both sat down at the table and started eating.

"Baby why are you nervous?"

JJ asks out of the blue

"I don't know what you mean J, I'm not nervous."

"Yes you are, your biting your nails you do that when you get nervous."

You look at him with a slight glare for knowing you so well.

"Okay, here it goes...JJ I'm pregnant."

He looked at you with wide eyes. He shakes his head at you.

"I can't be a dad. You've seen my dad he's awful that's what was ingrained in me Y/N that's how I was taught to be a father-"

He starts breathing harder

"JJ you need to calm down your working yourself up over something that's not true you would never hurt our baby."

"Y/N, you don't know that. He beat the shit out of me on a daily bases. How will you trust me with our baby knowing that I could do that?"

“Because I know you JJ I know the man who always stands up for the little guy. Who despite everything he’s been through can make his friends smile with no problem. I know you JJ you are the kindest, sweetest, most generous person I’ve ever met and I don’t want to hear you say anything to the contrary.”

You walk over to his side of the table and sit on his lap and he puts his head in your neck.

"Will you relish being a poor mans wife who's unable to proved for yours and this babies lives."

He asks softly

"I relish being your wife. Look at where you are, you have your own mechanics shop on the kook side of the island-"

"Yeah which Ward bought for me."

"Yes because he believes in you and so do I JJ. Look at where you started love, you started as a pouge and have gone full kook just like you've always wanted, you started with a mean daddy and I'm not gonna deny that but the fact that your alive is a miracle just stay alive and that would be enough. And if all else fails, love, I'm a trust fund baby and I help run my dad's business we will be fine."

"That doesn't change the fact that I had a sucky dad and I'm going to be a sucky dad."

"Baby if this child shares even a fraction of your smile, the smile that lights up every room we walk into, or a fragment of your great, big, beautiful, mind that would be enough for me. I just wish I could make you happy about having a baby."

JJ looks up from your neck for the first time.

"Sweetheart I'm so happy about having this baby. I just don't know if I'm gonna be good enough for it or you."

"JJ I'm not going to pretend to know about how your feeling but as long as you come home at the end of the day, that would be enough. I want to give you peace of mind about all this J. I know your dad was an asshole you won't hear any arguments out of me there but, I'm not afraid I know who I married, a man who despite all odds is sitting here with me, who loves me more than I could ever wish to be loved, and I know he's going to love our child just as much of not more."

You gently press a kiss to his forehead

"It's going to be hard to love someone as much as I love you. I just hope I can make you both proud."

Miscarriage||JJ Maybank

A/N: I’ve never had a miscarriage so all of this info is coming from tv shows/ movies. Also Asher refers to the baby as his baby cause my cousin did that and I think it’s precious.

The day you and JJ found out you were pregnant with Asher was the greatest day of your lives. The pouges found out a few weeks later and were just as excited to become aunts and uncles to the unborn Maybank baby. So a few years later when you found out you were once again pregnant you and JJ were just as excited. You went on Etsy and got Asher a shirt that said big brother on it. When the shirt arrived about a week later you called all the pouges over for a family cookout. You dressed Asher in his new shirt and got dressed yourself. John B and Sarah were the first to arrive.

“Uncle JB, Aunt Sarah”

Asher yelled running up to his aunt and uncle John B bent down to catch him and swing him around in the air before putting Asher on his hip.

“What’s up bubba?”

JB asked

“Look Mommy gots me a new shirt.”

He said pointing to the new shirt he was very proud of.

“Woah dude that’s super co- wait really?”

He said looking at you and JJ with a smile spreading across his face as you and JJ nod

“What does it say?”

Sarah ask grabbing Asher from John B as he goes to hug you and JJ.

“OH MY GOD!”

Sarah says setting Asher down so she can run and hug you and JJ. Asher pouts at this and goes up to JJ pulling and his pants leg to get his attention. JJ releases John B from their hug.

“What up baby boy?”

He bends down so he can look Asher in his eyes. Asher holds his arms out to JJ. JJ chuckles and picks up his pouting son and kisses his head. Soon after another knock can be heard from the door. You fake gasp.

“Ash you better go see who’s at the door.”

You tell him. He starts wiggling til JJ puts him down and runs to the glass door to see Pope and Kie.

“Uncle Pope, Aunt Kie! Daddy, Daddy, it’s Uncle Pope and Aunt Kie open the door, hurry Daddy, hurry.”

“Alright bud I’m coming calm down.”

He says like he’s exasperated by it but the smile tugging at his lips gives him away.

He immediately holds his arms up for Kie or Pope to grab him but they both had seen his shirt and ran over to you to give you a hug. Ash pouted even more at this and at that moment decided he did not want his baby as much as he previously thought. His aunts and uncles didn’t love him anymore and soon his mommy and daddy wouldn’t love him anymore either. Pouting he went up to the hugging adults.

“Uncle Pope”

He whined. Pope looked down to see his nephew pouting up at him.

“Hey Bubba, Sorry I didn’t hug you I had to see your mama real quick.”

That didn’t stop the pout on Asher’s little face. Pope picked him up and put him on his hip and kissed his head.

“That wasn’t very polite.”

Asher said to Pope and Kie. You and JJ had been teaching him about being polite, apparently it was working.

“Your right buddy I’m very sorry.”

Pope said squeezing him a little tighter so the boy would forgive him and like his father Asher was a sucker for his Uncle Pope and forgave him almost immediately. Then the young boy looked at Kie expecting the same thing from her which he received immediately.

The boys went outside to cook the burger and hot dogs. And all the girls could seem to talk about was the baby Asher was not happy.

“I’m going outside with my daddy.”

Asher said getting down from his stool where he was ‘helping’

“Hey buddy.”

JJ said to him as he walked carefully down the stairs to the grill. John B picked him up and sat him on his lap.

“So do you want another boy or a girl.”

Pope asked

“As long as it’s healthy I don’t care.”

JJ said smiling

“I never thought JJ would be the first one of us to end up married with kids”

John B said shaking his head. Asher rolled his eyes he was tired of everyone paying attention to this dumb baby and not him. He poked John B’s face he looked at Asher smiling.

“And this one will be the best big brother that there ever was, won’t you bubba?”

He said looking at his nephew. Asher looked at the ground he didn’t want to be a big brother he wanted to stay the baby.

“I want to go to my mommy.”

Asher said so John B sat him on the ground. And Asher ran off to the kitchen.

“Mommy can we send my baby back.”

He asks as he enters the kitchen

“Asher Maybank why would you ask such a thing?”

You look at him waiting for an answer.

“We’ll be outside.”

Kie says as her and Sarah walk out to the boys. You pick Asher up and set him on the counter. Asher was looking at anything but you, the wall the ceiling his shoes.

“Look at me baby.”

You say calmly. Finally Asher’s eyes meet yours.

“Why don’t you want your baby anymore?”

“Cause nobody will love me anymore. When Jenny’s daddies had another baby she said they forgot all about her and only loved the baby.” He says in one breath

“Ash I’m sure that’s not true and even if it is that will not happen with us.”

You grab his little hands in yours as his lip trembles

“Yes it will mommy. Uncle Pope didn’t hug me and Uncle JB put me down. They don’t love me and you and daddy won’t love me either.”

“Baby your uncles got a little excited is all they didn’t mean to hurt your feelings they love you so much. More than you will ever know I promise.”

“What about you and Aunt Kie and Aunt Sarah all you do is talk about my baby.”

He pouts harder

“I’m sorry you feel like we’ve left you out my love we didn’t mean to and won’t do it again I promise.”

You say holding out your pinkie for him he wraps his around your and you both kiss you thumbs to ‘lock it’ you grab him to give him a hug. When you feel something trickling down your leg and cramping in your stomach. You quickly set Asher down grabbing on to the counter top.

“Mommy you bleed.”

Asher says pointing at your leg.

“Ash go get Daddy and your uncles and stay with your aunts.”

You say trying to keep your voice even to not scare Asher even more.

“But mommy-”

“Asher do as your told.”

You say sternly to him. Asher takes off outside as you fall to the ground

“This can’t be happening”

You say as tears stream down your face.

Asher runs out side and the other five adults look at him.

“Daddy, Mommy needs you and Uncle Pope and Uncle JB hurry she’s hurt Daddy she Bleed.”

He says worry evident on the 4 year olds voice.

“The baby”

The boys say looking at each other before running inside to see you sitting on the floor crying JJ runs over and picks you up while pope grabs a blanket and John B grabs the keys they all run to the car

“I love the baby”

You hear Asher cry

“I know sweetie I know so do we.”

You hear Sarah comforting your child.

A few hours later Sarah and Kie had Asher calmed down and asleep laying across the two of them.

“John B”

Sarah said answering the phone hopefully

“Oh God”

Tears welled up in her eyes

“Okay love you and give JJ and Y/N our love.”

She hung up the phone

“They lost the baby.”

Kie starts crying to they only knew about the baby a few hours but they were already in love with the unborn child. They look down at the little boy who started stirring on their laps as if he knew something was wrong.

“Aunt Sarah you sad.”

He says as he looks at his aunts tear stained face.

“Yes baby I am.”

He looked at his Aunt Kie who was also crying

“What wrong?”

Sarah looked at Kie

“Tell him Y/N and JJ will understand.”

“Bubba I’m so sorry but your baby went to heaven.”

She said putting in to words that she only hoped he would understand.

“But I never got to see him.”

He said confused

“I know my love that’s how it happens sometimes. I’m very sorry you didn’t get to meet your baby.”

She said sadly

“I was mean to my baby.”

Asher said still not quite understanding

“You didn’t mean it love we all say things we don’t mean sometimes.”

Kie said to him

“So I’m not getting a baby?”

He asked

“No my sweet boy.”

Sarah said kissing his head.

A few days later you were sent home, Asher was down for his nap. You were so grateful to have your little family to take care of him when you and JJ couldn’t. JJ carries you upstairs to your bedroom and cuddled in the bed with you when he laid you down.

“JJ, I hate myself.”

You say to him.

“Baby the doctor said there was nothing we could have done differently the baby just wasn’t strong enough.”

“But why did it have to be our baby?”

He looked at you sadly with tears in his eyes

“I don’t know love I wish I did.”

He kissed your forehead gently when you hear a tiny knock on your door.

“Ash, let’s leave Mommy alone right now okay.”

You hear John B say but you missed your son.

“Tell JB to let him in.”

You tell JJ. He looks at you.

“Your supposed to be resting love.”

“Please J, I need him.”

JJ nods and goes to the living room

“Daddy!”

Ash says running into JJ’s legs

“Hey bubba you want to see mama?”

Ash shakes his head apparently loosing the courage he had moments ago.

“Why not bub?”

JJ says surprised by his son

“Mama not love me.”

“Why do say that ash?”

“I didn’t want my baby and Aunt Sarah said he went to heaven.”

JJ nodes

“Bub I promise it had nothing to do with you that the baby went to heaven it just wasn’t strong enough to stay. Do you understand son?”

Ash shakes his head

“Mommy is not mad, neither is Daddy we both love you even if you said something that was ugly and that you didn’t mean cause you were upset.”

Asher looks at his dad then cuddles into his chest. They sit like that for a few minutes.

“Daddy?”

“Yes son?”

“Can we go see my mommy?”

“I think that would make her very happy.”

He picks Asher up and carries him into your and JJ’s room.

“Hi angel.”

“Hi mommy”

He says into JJ’s neck still nervous you’d be mad at him. JJ sets him on the bed beside you and then climbs in behind him.

“I’m sorry about my baby mommy.”

“You have nothing to be sorry for lovey you didn’t hurt your baby I promise.”

You say to your son as you him and JJ doze off for a nap.

A/N: So I just watched Hamilton it was phenomenal. Helpless reminded me of JJ so of course I had to write about it. There's spoilers for Hamilton so I wouldn't read this if you haven't watched it. Might do a part two with the second part of the song if you guys want me too.

Summary: You're Sarah Cameron's sister and she introduces you to JJ at Midsummer.

Okay so Sarah's not secretly in love with JJ like Angelica was with Hamilton.

Tonight was the Midsummers dance you and Sarah had been getting ready all day not including the weeks of dress fittings before hand.

“Okay how do I look?”

Sarah turns around and of course she looks beautiful and you tell her just that.

You put on your dress and turn around.

“Do you think Kelce will like it?”

You ask. Kelce had asked you to be his “date” but you two were really just going as friends.

“He’d be an idiot not to.”

She says you give her a smile.

“Y/N, Sarah lets go!”

You hear your dad yell from down stairs. The two of you walk down stairs.

“Well if it isn’t the two of the prettiest girls on Kildare Island.”

Your dad says when you get down there giving you both a hug.

“Don’t let him try to flatter you he said the same thing to me and Rose.”

Weezie says rolling her eyes and looking back at her phone.

“Okay let’s get a quick picture and then we can leave.”

Rose says she had the camera set up waiting for the two of you. After the picture everyone got in the car and headed to midsummers.

When you arrived you went over to the table where Topper and Kelce sat.

“Hey Y/N, you look beautiful.”

Kelce said hugging you.

“Thanks Kelce, you look nice too.”

You said smiling at him.

You stood with Kelce, Topper, Sarah, and Rafe laughing as Sarah told the grand story of her saving a little girls stuffed animal. You look up to see the most beautiful boy walk through the door. You look at him trying to catch his eye but he’s busy talking to Pope.

“What or who are you looking at girl?”

You hear Sarah whisper to you. You point at JJ.

“Oh that’s JJ.”

Your sister says.

You never went out to any of the parties despite your siblings always asking you to. So you didn’t know many of the pouges the only reason you knew Pope was because he would drop off your groceries from time to time.

“Oh my God you like him.”

She says the proceeds to walk away from the group and walk up to JJ.

‘What is she doing.’

You think trying to look anywhere but where JJ and Sarah stood. JJ looks over to you and smiles, and suddenly you feel your knees go week.

‘Look at those eyes’

You think as they start walking over talking to eachother

“Y/N Cameron, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

You say extending a hand to him

“Cameron?”

He asks raising an eyebrow to Sarah

“My sister.”

She says with a smile

“It’s very nice of you to help Pope and his dad out.”

“If it takes waiting on a bunch of kooks for us to meet it’s worth it.”

He says smirking at you as you turn bright red

“I’ll leave you to it.”

Sarah says walking away from you two and taking the other boys with her before they could say anything.

One week later you and JJ have been constantly texting and talking on the phone nightly.

“Sarah you can’t read all mine and JJ’s messages”

You say laughing at her

“I’m just saying if you really loved me you would share them.”

You look down to see JJ asking you out on a date to which you immediately replied yes.

A few nights later you meet up with JJ at the wreck.

You wore a yellow skirt that had flowers on it and a off the shoulders white shirt.

when you walked into the wreck you saw Kie and waved at her

“Hey Y/N, how many?”

“Two, I’m suppose to be meeting JJ.”

“No way, your the girl he can’t seem to shut up about. I swear the past week all we’ve heard about is you. The boys are trying to make him look presentable so he will be here soon sit wherever you want.”

About 5 minutes later JJ showed up look as handsome as ever.

“Hey I’m so sorry I’m late”

“Not a problem.”

You two eat and have a great time. After you finish eating you two go on a walk down the beach.

“I’ve had a great time tonight.”

You say smiling at him.

“Me too and with a kook no less.”

He says you chuckle at him

“We’re not all like my brother and friends.”

“I know you and Sarah are pretty cool.”

“Yeah and you guys love Kie.”

“Eh Kie’s one of us and she just lives on your side of the island”

You two keep walking until you get a text from your dad saying you need to come home.

“It’s my dad, he wants me home”

“I really did have fun and I hope we can do it again soon.”

You say as you reach your car

“Okay, well, I’ll text you.”

You stand on your tip toes to place a kiss on his cheek. When you pull away he grabs you by the waist and kisses you. When you pull away you smile at him.

“I’ll see you later JJ.”

Summary: JJ ignored you all day so you have to get his attention.

JJ hadn’t necessarily been ignoring you today at least, not on purpose he just wasn’t paying any attention to you. Today, when you arrived at John B’s he kissed you and told you that you looked beautiful as he always did but, when you and the pogues went out on the boat he was stuck up John B and Pope’s butt the whole time. You were never one to be jealous of the boys cause you know he needs bro time but he could have at least hung out with you a little.

“Babeeeee.”

You call across the boat

“What Princess?”

“Come lay out with me.”

“Not right now baby we’re about to drop the net.”

You roll your eyes. This would be a lot more tolerable if Kie wasn’t working and could have hung out with you while the boys fished.

After the boys fishing and you laying out reading a book they decided they were done for the day and it was time to head back to the dock. JJ drove so he of course still wasn’t paying you any mind. When you got back to the château you took a shower and threw on a pair of shorts and one of JJ’s shirts. Then you went and laid on one end of the couch while JJ laid on the other end, you pulled out your phone and went on Instagram and JJ was doing something on his phone. After a few minutes you felt JJ gently nudge you with his foot.

“I’m gonna get something to drink. You want something?"

"No thanks J."

You say but that did spark a plan in your head to get some attention, you wait to hear JJ in the kitchen then you get up and walk in to there.

"Did you change your mind-"

Then you fall to the ground

"Owie."

You start to fake cry

"Oh come on you big baby."

He grabs your hand but you wouldn't let him pull you up so he bends down, you wrap your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist.

"What happened baby."

You shake your head

"Come on baby"

He takes you over to the couch and sits down with you still wrapped around him. Eventually you start to laugh which JJ took as you crying harder

"Shit baby I didn't know it hurt that bad."

You look at him still dying of laughter

"Oh you little bitch."

But then he starts laughing too

"Now can I go get my drink?"

You nod but don't let go of his neck.

"Oh great, so now I got a sloth hanging off of me."

He gets up and grabs a beer for him then walks back over to the couch where you two cuddle for the rest of the night.

A/N: I hope you guys like it! By the way I've never been to New York so please don't get mad if the way I describe it is wrong.

Summary: Luna and her parents move from New York to the Outer Banks. She meets some new friends and a cute blonde boy, who wants absolutely nothing to do with the new kook girl, whose trying to move into their new group.

New York the city where no one knows their neighbor, where your probably going to get yelled at if you bump into the wrong person. That's me I'm Luna Baker, I don't necessarily hate it here but I definitely did not love it here. At this moment I'm walking home from my last day of school past the bakery a block before my house I went and ordered a cruller and a coffee and then continued on my journey home.

"Dad, Pops I'm home!"

My dad, Eddie, is my biological father. Shannon, my mother or as I call her the egg donor, ran out on us a few months after I was born and never looked back. But that's fine cause if she would have stayed I wouldn't have my papa. My pops, Evan, met dad at their  law firm when I was about 1 and 1/2. They got married when I was 2 and Pops adopted me the same day.

"Hey sweetheart, come here we need to talk"

I put my purse on the counter and went to the dinning room area.

"Hey, what's up?"

I asked sitting down by my dad

"Your pops and I are going to open our own law firm."

Dad says

"That's really cool guys, can I came see your new office?"

"Of course sweetheart but we have to travel a bit to get there."

Pops say

"Okay so are we taking a taxi or the subway?"

"Well we're actually going to have to take a plane. It's on this small island in North Carolina we're going to move there next week."

"We're leaving New York?"

" Yeah sweetheart, I know it's a big change but, we'll be living on the beach and it's a small island so you will be able to meet a bunch of new friends, and we really hope your excited about it."

Dad says

I smile at them

"So what day are we leaving?"

I ask

"Well it's Friday and our plan is to be out of here by Tuesday, so tomorrow morning we're gonna start packing."

Tuesday morning

"Hey baby come on it's time to leave?"

I hear dad say while shaking my shoulders, we had movers take our stuff yesterday so we had to sleep on the apartment floor in the living room.

"Mmm I don't want to Daddy, five more minutes."

"No love, come on don't give me a hard time like your pops is."

He kisses my forehead then pulls off my blanket. I groan at the cold air hitting me.

"Up and atom princess I'm gonna run to the bakery and when I get back I expect both of you to be up."

He says I hear the door close, opening one eye i see pops laying a few feet way from me I roll over till I'm pressed against him, he wrapped an arm around me and we fell back asleep.

"Really guys, this is cute but come on we need to be at the airport in a few hours."

Groaning pops gets up and grabs his coffee and danish.

"Come on Luna Buna,  I got you a cruller and a frappe."

I roll over and glare at them before getting up and grabbing my donut and coffee. After breakfast we get ready I put on a long sleeve navy blue tee shirt, a pair of shorts, and a pair of converse. And put my hair into a ponytail.

Then we head to the airport.

We land in North Carolina in less than two hours, then we got a taxi to the ferry and then took the ferry to the island.

In New York there was no need to have our own car with taxis and  the subway we just really didn't need one but i know there aren't taxis (or at least as many) or subways on the island.

"Papa, how are we gonna make it to our house when land?"

I ask

"Well we have a new car waiting for us at the port. "

I nod and then continue to play on my phone for the rest of the ferry ride.

When we land there's a white Audi waiting for us at the port.

"Cool car, Dad picked it out didn't he?"

Pops laughs we both know that dad couldn't care less about cars.

"Hey be nice if you want your surprise when we get to the house."

Dad says

We drive past their new law firm it's a cute little building that's the perfect size for them to work in. Then we arrive at our house it's a big white house with two stair cases.

"Whoa this house is huge!"

"A lot better than that little apartment right?"

Dad says

"You can say that again."

"Go your room is up stairs first on to your right."

I run inside looking around a little bit but then I go running up stairs to a huge bedroom the walls are white. My bed, vanity, bookshelf are all set up. My tv is hanging on the wall and everything else is laying in boxes in the middle of the floor.

"Hey you forget about your surprise already?"

Dad says

"Never, what is it."

"Heads up"

He says throwing a something in the air I catch them to see a set of Jeep keys in my hands.

"No way!"

"In the garage."

I push past him and pops running back down the stairs. I come screeching to a stop, I turn around to see my parents standing at the top of the stairs.

"The garage is last door on your left."

Pops says laughing at me I go to the garage to see a beautiful black Jeep Wrangler, and a gray Jeep which I assume is pops seeing as that's his dream car. Back in New York my dads thought that even though we didn't need to drive that I should still get my license for when we visited our family who lived in other states.

I turn around giving both of them a big hug.

"Okay it's only 1 so go ride around but be back by 5 so we can go get dinner."

I nod hopping in my car

"Thanks Daddy, thanks Papa love you guys!"

"We love you too baby, have fun."

Dad says

"and be careful and be back 5."

Pop as usual the worrier

"I will be bye."

I back out the garage driving around for a while before I reach a beach. I hop out of my Jeep and walk to the beach I was looking not paying attention to where I was going when I bumped into someone. I look up to see a girl who looked about my age with long blonde hair.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry."

I say to her

"It's fine girl don't worry about it. I'm Sarah Cameron."

She says holding out her hand

"Luna Baker"

I say taking her hand and shaking it.

"So are you a touron?"

She ask

"Excuse me?"

"Sorry are you just visiting for the summer?"

She ask

"Oh no me and my dads just moved here from New York"

"Oh that's super cool since your new, let me show you around the island."

We walk around and she shows me around tells me about the pogues and the kooks about how they have beef. She asked me where I lived and she informed me that I'm a kook as is she but, she dates a Pogue and hangs out with him and his friends.

"We're having a kegger tomorrow if you want to come."

"Sure that sounds like fun."

"Great you can come get ready at my house."

We walk around a little longer then I hear my phone alarm go off.

"I need to head back home, my dads want to go eat out tonight and I need to go get ready."

"Okay let me get your number."

We exchange numbers and then walk back to my Jeep

"Bye Luna see you tomorrow"

"Bye Sarah thanks for showing me around"

I hop in my car and drive back home. I get home at exactly 5 (so much for getting ready) after getting lost on the island a few times. I walk inside to see my dads in shorts and polo shirts. We get in the Audi and head to a restaurant called 'The Wreck' a girl named Kiara takes our order.

I tell my dads about my day how Sarah invited me to a party tomorrow.

"Can I go?"

I ask

"You can but no drinking and if you do call us to come and get you."

Pops says

"Thanks guys I'm going to go get ready at Sarah's house tomorrow-"

I get cut off by three loud boys running in yelling

"Come on Kie mandatory meeting lets go"

The blonde one yells

"Bye dad"

She yells throwing off her apron

"Kiara you get back here, don't walk out that door-"

But it was to late her and her friends were long gone.

"Well okay then."

Pops says laughing

We eat our food then leave. When we arrive at home I take a shower, unpack about half of my things and then get ready for bed.
