Random practice art from a bit ago that I decided to just casually abandon.
This blog might just end up being the cemetery for all my abandoned art, lol
It was dubbed something like Fragments of a Stained Soul by me and my husband when goofing around trying to name the damn thing because of the stained glass look in the background?
It was a fun experiment with digital art in ibis though so I can't complain about it too much...

A random monsterlover/monsterfucker flag I made? I'm bored so uh... yeah?
Nobody's going to see this, so the description doesn't matter, but I'll do it anyway for my peace of mind:
A simple square flag with 6 different colors.
The first color is a thick, dark blue stripe, almost black. It represents the unknown and cryptid like creatures or monsters.
The second color is a thick, dark red stripe, meant to remind the viewer of blood. It represents bloodsucking and undead monsters, take for example vampires, ghosts, zombies and Frankenstein like creatures.
The third color is a thick dark orange stripe. However, it is slightly thinner than the two previous ones. It's meant to be similar to fire but not as vibrant. It represents demonic and tiefling like creatures, for example, incubi, succubi, infernals, and other "hellish" beings you'd associate with the term demon or tiefling.
The fourth color is a vibrant purple, meant to remind the viewer of the purples commonly seen in pride flags like the ace, vincian, cinthean, mlm, moon lesbian, alternate trans flags and nonbinary flag. It, obviously, based on its inspiration, is meant to represent queerness as a whole, as well as love for "otherness" or that which others might find strange, weird, or "cringe."
The fifth color is another thick stripe, similar in size to the orange one from before of an almost golden yellow. It represents hairy creatures and monsters like werewolves and centaurs. It also represents creatures and beings that aren't quite human but not quite animal either - think the beast from beauty and the beast. These creatures often remind me of trans and genderqueer people - it might be from my own perspective as a transgender man, but creatures who aren't seen as A but definitely are not B feel queer in some way?
Did I just compare trans people to werewolves and people forced to be "monsters" either via a curse or an unfortunate circumstance of their birth? Yeah. Am I going to regret it? Probably...
Anyways, the sixth color is a thick stripe, similar in size to the previous red one that is a sea blue in color, a shade that I'm struggling to describe well due to my own inadequacy as a writer lol. It represents sea monsters and creatures inspired by Lovecraft (hate the guy by the way fuck him and his bullshit, but love the culture and monsters he created and the works his writing inspired).
The final stripe is a repeat of the first one, with added meaning. The thick, dark stripe at the bottom does represent the unknown again, but this time, it also represents two other things: the first being fear - or the lack thereof. This could be fear of monsters and what they might do to you or fear of the judgment others might cast upon you for different aspects of your life. The second is horror and terror and the comfort that queer, traumatized, and mentally ill people often find in these genres.
Edit: If this somehow is like already a flag that exists or these colors together already means something - especially something fucking horrid please let me know and it'll go bye bye sooner than either of us can blink...
- Thanks, Dockwood
