Hi there! Could you write something along the lines of AfabReader x William afton where he surprises her with jewelry she has always wanted? Thanks if you do!!-🪄
Yes yes yes of course I can, thank you for requesting, I didn't expect so many responses!
William Afton x Reader
Warnings: Mentions of alcohol.
It was a muggy day in 1978 Hurricane, Utah. The sun slipped through your fingers and pooled onto the streets. Pavements had become hot to the touch, and you were sure your shoes would melt to the concrete if you stood idle for too long.
Will had suggested spending the day on the high street; he encouraged you to join him to explore the new surroundings since moving there. He had left Michael, Elizabeth, and Evan in the care of Henry for the day, more than assured he was the perfect babysitter.
The quaint shops crowding the sides of the road invited customers in with open doors and decorated windows. It was only eleven in the morning by the time you had made your way through more than half of them. William had been browsing through children's clothes and accessories ready for summertime whilst you picked up cushions for the sofas, pots, and pans for the new stove, and silly hats to try on and laugh about in the store's mirror.
After purchasing a hefty amount of summer tops and bottoms and homely decorations, the pair of you opted to load the bags into the car before your arms dropped off. Loading them into the boot one after the other, you just about managed to squeeze them all in - except for a few sizable pillows on the back seats...
"Trust you to go shopping and buy half a house." William teased as you pushed all of your weight into slamming the trunk down, "Good thing the cars bloody big enough."
He leaned against the side of the cherry red Chevrolet with crossed arms and sleeves turned up, exposing the scars on his arms. It was definitely a sight to see. Assuring you that the healed injuries were completely pain-free, William had convinced you not to worry. It was always a question of concern, considering he would constantly tinker with intricate, and extremely hazardous, machinery, but you kept that concern to yourself for the time being.
"Sorry that I want a lovely-looking house!" You retorted as he shot back a smirk and pushed himself back onto his feet, "Want to grab some food?"
"Sounds good. I saw a café just up the road from here."
"Brilliant." Just up the road to Will meant a 15-minute walk, and for some superhuman reason, he wasn't feeling the sweltering heat. "Right let's go then."
During the stroll, you had peeked your heads into many different shops: shoemakers with extravagant heels for the most elegant of occasions, an outdoors and camping store full of enormous tents, a home-brewed liquor shop full of free samples and nestled beside the café, a fancy jeweller.
You gazed in through the window as intricately cut jewels lustred against the harsh sunlight pouring in through the glass. Resting upon a velvet mannequin sat a stunning golden necklace. Adorned with delicate diamond petals, it exuded elegance.
After taking a considerable amount of time to choose a whiskey, William finally caught up with you.
"We'll have to pop some ice into the freezer when we get home," He confidently displayed the bottle he had purchased, "Take a look at what I got for half price, love."
As you stepped back from the window, you felt a twinge of hesitancy. However, you couldn't ignore the wide grin plastered across his face, leaving you to raise an eyebrow with interest.
"How on earth did you get that for half price?" As you reached for the bottle, he quickly snatched it back and stuffed it into the bag, "Oi!"
"She just fancied me far too much to charge me full price." He jested, earning a questionable glare from you, "Part of the sales, love."
As he ushered you to move on, you couldn't help but keep an eye on the beautiful piece of jewellery that had previously caught your attention. William caught sight of your gaze and stole a look after you had moved on. After quickly glancing through the window, he strode into the café behind you.
The meal was excessively sweet. You had opted for an American breakfast classic - pancakes with bacon and syrup. It definitely filled the spot. On the other hand, Will had ordered a simple poached egg on toast with a bitter latte. It was past midday by the time you left, and the both of you were tired out from shopping for hours on end.
"Make your way back to the car, love." He urged whilst pulling out his wallet and tossing you the keys, "I'll pay for the food to save you some time."
After agreeing, you strolled your way back to the car. The seats were hot to the touch. You didn't dare sit down without placing a cushion beforehand. It had been just over fifteen minutes when Will came into view. His hair had fallen over his forehead and one of his sleeves had slipped down after carrying his bag full of alcohol for so long.
"Looking sexy there mate." You goaded whilst throwing open the driver's side door for him, "What took you so long? I've been roasting in here."
"Assuming you didn't lock yourself in," he said, sinking into the chair, "the doors do in fact open."
You scoffed, "Next time, I'll bloody drive home without you."
"Well then. Next time I won't be buying you a lovely present."
He enjoyed buying you presents, though he didn't do it often. He would always tell you he's rubbish at it because he's a man - you couldn't disagree with the fact he was an awful gift-giver.
Eagerly taking a large A3-shaped piece of card out, he handed it over.
"What the bloody hell am I holding?"
He wiggled his finger around and nodded his head, "Turn it around!"
As you flipped it over, you saw a piece of advertisement. On it was a woman styling the necklace you had spotted earlier. Thinking back, it was beside the necklace you saw in the shop. At least he tried?
"Oh, it's... lovely..?" Not quite sure how to go around this, you played along. William stifled a laugh as he watched you feigning gratitude. "Are you pulling my leg?"
He sneered and turned to take something else out of the bag. "You think too highly of me." Turning to pass you a pretty little case, "Course I am."
As you opened the petite box, a wide smile spread across your face. The necklace sat on top of a silk cushion inside. Without a second thought, you leapt towards him and hugged him tightly, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"You knobhead. I genuinely thought you got me that piece of card."
He placed a gentle kiss on your cheek and pushed you back slightly, "Cor, didn't realise you'd love it this much. Maybe I need to buy you jewellery all the time."
You jabbed him in the side, "Well then it wouldn't be so special, Mister., I'm awful at buying presents because I'm a man."
Chuckling at your response, he revved the car up and drove half an hour over to Henry's house.
Greeting an exhausted pair of adults at the door, and after slithering your way past a bundle of napping children, you mouthed a silent thank you and made your way into the kitchen. William brewed a pot of tea as if it were his own home, he always mentions they can't make his tea right. As he did so, The Emilys asked about your day.
You showed them your new necklace, to which Henry told you, "In all the years I've known Will, I never knew he was capable of such a lovely gift." He winked playfully, eliciting a sigh from his friend.
By the time you made your leave, it was approaching four in the afternoon. You heaved little Evan up into your arms and William held onto Michael and Elizabeth's hands, you turned to wave goodbye and hand over some cash as thanks.
While your attention was elsewhere, Evan swiftly took hold of the necklace and snapped it in two. You were met with a look of shock from William, as his mouth slightly hung open.
"Have you got the receipt?" You asked, wide-eyed.
"I'll tell them it came like that."

A/N - Thank you for reading! I mentioned before that I was going to shorten my stories and I think this is the perfect length. This one was so cute to write. Literally wrote a Mr. Bean moment into this. I hope you enjoyed it, I got so many requests, and I'm trying to work through them, but I probably won't be able to get through them all. Thank you anyway though, I appreciate the help!

LOL I LOVE THIS He's definitely the type to just grab the closest ingredient to him without fully checking what it is
How about a fic where William's baking a cake for reader's birthday but he accidentally uses salt instead of sugar??
“ Always Forever ”
W. Afton x GN!reader
———
It’s your birthday and William wants to do something special for you, so he bakes you a cake. Too bad he put in the wrong ingredient.
-
( A/N ) I absolutely adored writing this omg !!! tysm for requesting this !!!🤍 and happy bday to whoevers bday it is and reading this :3
Tumblr media
Baking wasn’t exactly Williams specialty, oh no. He honestly much preferred to cook than bake, but here he was, making a cake just for you, because today was your birthday.
You were currently out at the moment with your family, celebrating your birthday with them. As much as William wanted to come, he wanted you to come back to something special. You didn’t mind that he didn’t want to come, even if he did make you a little sad, but you understood. William wasn’t great with others either. Plus, you could come home and enjoy the rest of the day with him.
Your cake was almost done. William just needed to add the frosting and decorate. He already decorated the house, putting up streamers and a sign that wrote “Happy Birthday!”. It wasn’t much, but it wasn’t like you were gonna have a party at home.
Finishing off the final touches, William pulled back, grinning down at his work. He let out a content hum, pleased with what he made. It wasn’t the worst cake in the world.. but it wasn’t exactly the prettiest. He didn’t care though, it’s the thought that counts.
Tilting his head to look down at the watch on his wrist, he nodded to himself. Just a few more minutes and you’d be back. He looked down at the cake, carefully picking it up and moving it over to the dinner table.
As the clock ticked, William heard your car pull up, making him perk up from his spot and get up. He stood at the front door, ready to greet you.
He listened as you fumbled with your keys, placing them into the keyhole and twisting it, unlocking the door and opening it. Before you could even say anything, William swooped you off your feet, making you yelp and grasp onto your boyfriends shirt. “William!” You laughed.
William held you close, leaning down and giving you a kiss. “Happy birthday, dove.” He smiled, placing you back down on your feet. “Apologies, I was excited to see you.”
“I could tell.” You chuckled, looking around. “You decorated?” You looked back at him, and he nodded his head. “I did. It’s not much, but it isn’t like we’re gonna have a party, hm?”
You hummed in response, nodding in agreement as you slid your shoes off and walked into your house. You smiled at the cake on the table, turning to look at William. “A cake too?”
William hummed, nodding and walking over. “Of course. It isn’t the best, but I’m no professional.” He shrugged, making you chuckle and nod. “Thats fair enough. Never thought of you as a baker anyway.” You teased, sitting in front of the cake.
The cake was covered in white frosting and sprinkles, the words “Happy Birthday!” with your name under it was written in sloppy cursive. It was hard writing with frosting, so it wasn’t so bad.
William held out a lighter, lighting the candles. “As much as I love you, I will not be singing happy birthday.” He sat down next to you. You only rolled your eyes and smiled, before closing them and making a wish, before blowing the candles out.
“What’d you wish for?” William asked. You leaned over, “I can’t tell you. birthday rules.” You joked, making him huff and smile.
William reached for the knife he had put on the table, standing and cutting two slices for the both of you. He put the first one on your plate, and then one on his. Right as he sat down, you dug in, taking a bite out of the piece of cake.
At first, you didn’t really taste anything, but after a few seconds, a salty taste hit your tastebuds, making you grab a napkin and spit out the chewed up cake. “Why is it so..salty?” You raised an eyebrow.
William blinked, taking a bite of his own piece. His eyes went wide, and he spat his piece into a napkin. He shuffled out of his seat, going into the kitchen to check what he had used. Instead of grabbing the jar of sugar, he grabbed salt.
“Bloody hell.. Who puts a jar of sugar next to salt?!” He hissed, groaning and running a hand through his hair.
You made your way into the kitchen, giggling and shaking your head. “Its okay, Will. We can go out and buy a cake instead?” You suggested, making the other grunt and sigh. “Okay.”
You reached up and cupped Williams face, “Hey, don’t get your panties in a twist. You can make me a cake another time, okay?” You smiled, giving him a kiss before pulling away and grabbing his hand. “Lets go now, yeah?”
William smiled as you pulled him away and to the front. You both put your shoes on and went out to get a cake.
William promised himself he would make a better cake for you soon. He even thought about watching baking videos just so the cake would be so much better.
Just for you.

haii !! could u do maybe william n reader(maybe gn reader ?:3) have a sleepover even tho theyre adults ? like they do silly sleepover activities like building a fort, watching movies, face masks, etc :3
Hey! I can absolutely do that for you lovely, I might add my own kind of twist onto it if that's alright with you! I'll keep both Will and the reader at around 20 years old, it's kind of that age where you still enjoy silly things meant for teenagers but also get embarrassed by them so you prefer to call sleepovers 'hangouts'..
This is quite long I believe, so sorry in advance.
College Student William Afton x College Student GN Reader
Being an adult had its perks, going to concerts or buying a house - if you really felt the need. There wasn't a huge amount of things to do compared to that of being a teenager, and to be frank, life just seemed all a bit more serious now.
Given the bigger responsibilities and need to pay for yourself, the joy seemed to be sucked from all of the things you used to find amusing as a careless teenager. College wasn't dreadful though, you got to see your friends and spend time away from the house and your parents. The subject you chose however... if there was one thing that could bore you into a coma, it would be maths.
The day had dragged and Mr. Wilson seemed more stringent than ever. He had requested the floors be redone in his classroom after the incident earlier in the year which left him toppled over, face first on the floor. Since that day, he had taken strict action by adding heaps of oil to the hinges of the door and making sure he arrived an hour earlier in mind of rush hour traffic.
This had clearly taken a toll on him as he lay slouched in his drab leather chair, snoring sonorously whilst armies of heavy raindrops tapped against the windows.
After a long, long wait for the clock to hit 4pm, you bundled all of the pens and paper from the desk into your bag before making an anticipated beeline for the college doors. It was short lived relief however, as the bus wasn't in it's normal parking spot. Due to the weather, and state of the poor old vehicle, it was going to take another 25 minutes for it to fight through the dismal downpour.
Home was too far of a walk in this weather and the thought of calling your parents home from work to pick you up was just as threatening.
The world seemed unnaturally dark, as if the light had been drained from the sky replaced by dark, gloomy clouds massing above your head. Rain tumbled down a great deal heavier than earlier, the small bus shelter was beginning to feel over crowded and the pungent smell of sweat had become rather noxious to inhale.
Huffing audibly to yourself and accepting the nauseating fate, you stood in the cramped bus shelter and tolerated it. That was until an obnoxiously loud blare of a car horn and beckoned you over. It was William, he had stayed on longer to discuss a project he'd been working on with the technicians teacher. What a little life saver!
Rapidly checking both sides of the road, you bolted over to his cherry red Ford Consul Capri, very classy if you do say so yourself, and slammed the door shut before the pelting rain could ruin the polished leather seats.
"Bloody hell you are a god send mate" You panted whilst wiping strands of soggy hair from your forehead.
"I wasn't beeping for you to come over love." He responded as his brows furrowed at your presence.
Oh. No. How utterly embarrassing. Your jaw hung open in disbelief as rose pigment stung your cheeks.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry, I'll wait for the bus." You stammered in humiliation. His gaze was scrutinising, you couldn't bare to return the eye contact.
"Nah I'm pulling your leg mate." He goaded whilst grinning mischievously, "The look on your face though, class."
"Knobhead"
"Right. If you're free we can head back to mine, Mum and Dad went to Switzerland yesterday so the house is completely empty."
"Alright ace, I'll come and keep you from being lonely you little man child." You teased back, "Joking! Joking. Please don't leave me out in the rain like a little sodden mouse."
He sighed and rolled his eyes before starting up the pristine car to head back home.
William lived in a posh area of the village, although his house wasn't overly showy or obnoxious like the others. His parents were owners of a large mechanics dealership in London so he was loaded, but he wouldn't gloat his wealth.
A few more turns, after a very much appreciated twenty minute drive, and you pulled up on a gravel driveway. The pair of you grabbed your bags and sprinted to the front door as the rain picked up and cracks of thunder boomed in the gloomy horizon.
"Hurry up and open that door!" You shrieked just as the crooked gutter snapped and drenched you head to toe in grimy rain water - Not Will though, he hogged the porch.
As soon as the heavy wooden door swung open, you lunged into the front room. It'd be the respectful deed to compliment the house, albeit overridden by organised clutter, but the sludge dripping into your eye was truly the top of your concerns.
"Don't laugh, I can literally see you snickering."
William was wide eyed and speechless, the urge to laugh was becoming overwhelming at this point. He signalled to the room at the bottom of the lengthy hallway and welcomed you to use the bath, the offer was too good to resist, so you grabbed your dripping wet bag and shivered all the way down the corridor, slamming the door shut and immediately twisting the hot tap onto full power.
"I've got some tea here waiting," William announced faintly, "Oh, and I got scrabble out too if you want to play?"
"Alright then, I'll hop out when I finish washing my hair."
"I left some of my old pyjamas outside for you too." He replied hesitantly, "I'll be in the lounge."
Climbing out of the lukewarm water, you grabbed a towel from the radiator and patted yourself down. The door creaked open slightly as you turned the handle, allowing space for your hand to slip through and take the white button down pjs from the mat outside.
"I'll be over now," You called down the hall, "Give me a second!"
You snatched a pair of navy slippers from the shoe rack and made your way into the dimly lit living room.
"Cor it's nice and warm in here."
"Your tea's going cold mind." He nodded to the sofa opposite of him, "Sit on that one over there if we're playing scrabble."
Perching on the edge of the leather settee, you picked out seven tiles from the green drawstring pouch and set them onto the wooden stand.
"Are you kidding me?" William leant back in his chair and scoffed, "Right, you first."
Squinting at the seven letters before you, you reorganised them into many different sequences. D, I, Z, O, I, X, E. Doze... no, Doe.. too short, iodize..? Suddenly, you visualised a word which used all of the tiles and scrambled them into place.
"Oh mate get ready for this." You slid the stand onto the board with a smirk spread across your face. Slowly, you arranged the word 'Oxidize' onto the beginning squares. "Twenty one, twenty two... only twenty four points for that, but add on the fifty for the seven letters and that takes it up to... 74!"
"You cheater you have a dictionary." He accused in envy of the high score whilst jotting it down on a scrap of paper.
"Do not! Your turn now, lets see your scrabble skill."
Rolling his eyes and picking up a single tile from the stand in front of him, he placed a measly O beneath the D.
"Oh dear..." You chuckled into your fist, "Vowels?"
He shot you a cruel glare and confirmed your query with a quick nod. The game continued on for half an hour until the competitive nature became increasingly tiring, especially since William kept placing an S after all of your words, so you got up and clambered into the space beside him.
"We haven't eaten yet."
"I think there's a pot of beef stew in the fridge." He answered defeatedly, "Or we can listen to my dad's vinyl instead?"
Food sounded perfect, but knowing William's family he probably owned some of the latest LPs released by the biggest artists around right now.
"Alright then you lazy cow, how about we listen to some vinyl then?" You returned a grin and made your way over to the fancy box of LPs adjacent to the shiny, high tech record player.
The selection inside was truly magnificent, The Supremes album 'Meet The Supremes', The Rolling Stones debut record, 'Surfin' USA' from the Beach Boys followed by a dozen Chuck Berry sleeves. This was like a dream come true.
After a brief while of overthinking your choice, you picked out The Beatles' latest album 'A Hard Day's Night' and carefully placed it atop the platter, mindful of its mint condition, and flicked the plug socket on. Soon enough the record began spinning around, so, you picked up the needle and gently positioned it onto the lead in groove.
It crackled faintly before crashing into the first song, the fast paced melody was joyfully upbeat - perfect for dancing. You smiled to yourself, overjoyed with emotions, before turning your attention back to William. He watched on fondly as you tapped your foot to the tune, occasionally out of time but nonetheless you were enjoying yourself.
"Come on then!" You desperately encouraged him to join in, tugging the sleeve of his shirt.
He latched his hands into the warm hold of yours and moved them hastily up and down, over and over in an attempt of dancing until the song faded out. As the next began to play, a dreadful clatter reverberated around the room.
"Oh dear, it's never done that before." Tilting his head at the needle, he took a cloth from the side table to clean the end of the cartridge. Carefully placing it onto the following track, he rose onto his feet and stepped backwards. The soft crackle returned and a delicate symphony of voices and instruments chimed from the speakers.
'If I fell in love with you Would you promise to be true'
"Suiting song." You jested and prodded his chest with a finger.
Chuckling at your playful gesture, he took a hold of your hands once more - this time, however, he moved them rather languidly. The storm outside worsened and the crashing bolts of lightning echoed through the town formidably. Swaying in each others arms, the soothing rhythm lulled the both of you into a state of bliss.
'And I found that love was more, than just holding hands.'
He rose his arm above your head, motioning you to twirl around whilst humming along to the song. Melting back into his frame, you followed his steps and chortled as he tripped over the carpet. The both of you smiled at one another as the chorus of instruments soothed to an end.
'When she learns we are two If I fell in love with you...'
~
A/N - Oh my gosh... This took way too long. It definitely isn't my favourite fic ever but I always put a lot of effort into researching the year I write about so it doubled the time it should've taken by like a million years ugh. If you didn't know, I tried to set it in late July 1964 hence A Hard Day's Night being the latest record Will has - He's totally a Rolling Stones over The Beatles kind of guy though. I hope you enjoyed this xxx oh and thank you for being so patient holy moly

“ Lovers Rock ”
- W. Afton x GN!Reader -
———
- Its Cleaning day and you and William spend time together cleaning the house. William however, doesn’t exactly want to.
(A/N) First fic post :3 i luv william afton sm so heres a fluffy thing w him since there isnt much of that 🫶 lmk if u guys want more hes so silly
Tumblr media
Soft music played in the background as you swept the floor, humming to the tune. You swayed your body a little as you swept, nodding your head to the beat.
Today was a cleaning day, where you and William were gonna clean the whole house. It wasn’t extremely dirty, but there was a few pieces of trash on the ground, papers all over the tables and some parts of the house were just dusty.
William was cleaning up the papers on the table, stacking them nicely to the side and sorting through them for what was needed and what was garbage. He glanced up at you for a moment, noticing how you were swaying as you listened to the faint music, your back facing him.
His eyes lingered on you for a moment longer, before he slowly got up. His arms snuck around your waist, pulling you close to him.
You let out a quiet gasp when you felt his chest against your back, turning your head to look at your boyfriend. “Are you done sorting through the papers?” You asked.
William let out a hum, looking at you with tender eyes. “No.” Was his only response. You cocked your head to the side, raising an eyebrow.
“I’m taking a break.” William nodded, “Slouching isn’t good for me, you know.” He joked, giving you a small squeeze. You couldn’t help but laugh, shaking your head. You gently pulled away from him, turning to look at William.
William took the broom from you, setting it to the side against the wall. He turned back to you, extending a hand out. You looked up at him, confused, but took his hand anyway. William pulled you close, a hand resting on your waist. You immediately knew what he was doing, letting out a chuckle and resting your own hand on his shoulder.
The both of you slowly swayed to the music in the background, ignoring the little mess around you two. It was a nice moment between the both of you, dancing together to the quiet music.
William would never admit it, but he adored these little moments. Usually, he was always stern and serious. But with you? He was soft and affectionate. He would always give you kisses and cuddle with you in bed whenever he had the chance. When he’s with you outside of home, He’ll do little cute gestures like hold your hand, or have his arm wrapped around you.
You looked up at William, moving your hand from his shoulder to his cheek, before leaning in for a kiss. William smiled into the kiss, humming as you pulled away. “Why don’t we sit down and relax, darling?” He held your hand, pulling you to the couch. “What about cleaning?” You huffed, not really wanting to leave a mess.
William pulled you next to him, wrapping and arm around you and holding you close. “Later, love.” He muttered, giving you a kiss on the head.
You only sighed, smiling and leaning into him and closing your eyes. “10 minutes.. then back to cleaning.”
William hummed in response, “15.” He huffed, making you roll your eyes. “Fine, 15 minutes.”
The two of you stayed on the couch together for the next 15 minutes, holding each other close.

Feminine reader. Mentions of smoking, William and Reader. Set in a Pub, alcohol mentioned, slight harassment from a drunk man, mentions of blood, fighting and arguing.
"We need to be leavin' in a minute love." William emphasised as he adjusted his tie. Delicately patting some English Leather Cologne onto his wrists and neck before turning on his heel to gaze at you.
"Yes I know I've just got to..." You fiddled about with your purse, digging through countless bits of rubbish you had stuffed in there prior. "Hmm, now where on earth did I put you?"
"What you lookin' for so frantically?" He chuckled, though his brows furrowed as you began searching all over the bedroom floor.
"It's my special perfume, I can't find it anywhere!" You frowned and delved under the bed, scrambling about through boxes and bags.
It wasn't any cheap spray, which is why you panicked - in fact it was a gift from William a few months back for Valentine's Day. Not that the smell was all that great. In all honesty you'd do anything in your power not to wear it, however you felt the need tonight as you were spending quality time together.
Settling himself onto the mattress, he reached across to the bedside table and picked up a small, detailed, pink bottle. He held it in front of his face for a while, examining the detailed engravings. Turning the dainty glass around, he squeezed the pump to take a sniff but instead the spray shot right into his eyes.
He dropped the bottle and flinched rather dramatically, clasping his hands over his face, trying to wipe the fragrance from his now extremely bloodshot, watering eyes.
Hearing the commotion from behind, you crawled from beneath the bed to check what on earth had happened, only to discover your oh so loved perfume smashed on the wooden floor beside you.
"William! What the bloody hell are you doing you twit?" You slapped his arm and rushed to your dressing table to touch up on your makeup, grabbing your powder puff and lightly applying a thin layer of blush. "Right lets go then, no time for cleaning your mess up!"
"No sympathy for your wounded soldier then I guess... I'm basically blinded by your cosmetics and you cant spare a minute to appreciate me!" He sighed as he emerged out of the bathroom, patting his face down with a towel.
"Oh bloody grow up you child, were going to be late because of you."
William chortled at your snarky attitude and made his way downstairs to put his gloves and jacket on, calling you as he did so.
"Grab your coat love, it's too cold without one." William insisted you wore one whenever you left the house past noon, couldn't let you catch a cold.
The walk to the town was calm and refreshing, occasional soft breezes brushed through your hair as leaves tumbled to the floor and crunched beneath your feet. You linked arms with your lover and joyfully skipped ahead, dragging him along with you.
"We're almost there Will come ooon...!" You whined and tugged at his sleeve "You're such a faff!'
Minutes later, you arrived in town - albeit out of breath. The old sign hanging above the entrance to the pub barely made out; 'COME AND SEE, NEW musicians performing, BIG new hits! For 16 and over.'
"Fab! I hope there aren't many people inside so soon.. I should find us a place to sit right away." Grinning as you gave William commands "Fetch us some drinks too..!"
Swiftly making your way over to a table with two chairs, you placed your purse to the side as you slipped out of the long coat you were forced to put on, hanging it off of the chair.
The record player in the corner of the bustling pub played soft tunes; 'That'll be the day' by Buddy Holly, 'Great balls of fire' and your personal favourite 'Rock and Roll Music' by Chuck Berry. You hummed softly to yourself as you awaited William's return.
"What's up with all of this old stuff?" He chuckled as he placed your half pint of Cola onto the placemat.
"Hm.. We got the day right didn't we?" You mumbled skeptically "The sign said so, perhaps its later on.."
"Don't stress love, if not we should have to come back another day. Unless it's your excuse to get pissed each day of the week?" He laughed to himself, earning a deathly stare and a cross of the arms from you, although it didn't take long for a suppressed cackle to escape your pursed lips.
"They seem to be setting the stage up over there." You pointed out
"Gear. Shouldn't be too long now. See? You're such a fanny."
The club was teeming with curious locals after a good half hour while the bands took their time to prepare backstage. The tables became scarce in no time which left groups of friends and families to stand in whatever space was lacking bodies.
"I'm glad we got here when we did, imagine trying to find a place to sit now!" You marvelled, peering around in the very enviable piece of furniture you were perched on. "Are you even listening to me you bloody old man?”
William hummed and took a cigarette out to light it under his cupped hand. The lighter defined the rough callouses enveloping his fingers and singed hair on the back of his hands. The job he worked was hard labour at the welders in town, it suited him quite well, however. Knowing what creations he would sketch down onto paper it wouldn't surprise you if he'd ever attempt to
"This is a drag. When the bloody hell are these bands coming out?" Slowly puffing a thick cloud of smoke to the side.
"I'm sure they'll be out soon, be patient." Sipping at the last of your drink, you pushed it to the side and took a cigarette out of your bag. "Mind lighting it?"
Despite being sat down on the short antique chair, he still managed to tower above you... significantly. His thick, brunette hair fell onto his forehead as he leant over. Tension rose as you made intense eye contact. Seated in a room full of bundling boisterous locals yet they all seemed to disappear when the two of you edged closer toward each other.
"Evening folks!"
Groans arose from the crowd as the terrible microphone let out a high-pitched squeal at an almighty volume.
"Sorry about that...!" The older, plump man on the stage apologised in a very thick southern accent as he fumbled around to move the mic further away from the speakers. "Thank you all for coming tonight, we're all very excited to see what this new musical genre or what not is all about aren't we? Its going to take a bit of work to surpass Elvis but let's give it a knock why don't we!"
William twisted back around to roll his piercing grey eyes at you
"Bloody old bugger." He grinned facetiously, taking a drag of the cigarette before blunting it into the ash tray.
The grandfather clocks hands creaked rather loudly as the band fumbled onto the stage, awkwardly avoiding eye contact with the sea of expectant guests before them. No cheering broke out as the pub waited in eager anticipation, they were patiently waiting for an introduction from the group of mop haired boys on stage.
Soon enough the pub was alive and deafening again as the group wearing very German, leather outfits continued to play through their set list.
It was a different kind of sound to the rock and roll of Elvis and Chuck Berry you were familiar with, but it was rather pleasant regardless of that. The bass and drums coincided harmoniously as the rhythm and lead guitar chimed pleasant upbeat melodies alongside each other. All members had a crack at singing on their first song, their voices occasionally melodic but for the most parts rambunctious and powerful.
The restless crowd of screaming teenage girls and women swarmed to the front of the hall trying to get their hands on the unfortunately positioned guitarists - they seemed to be considerably unperturbed, however.
It made you wonder; what would Will think if you went and joined them? Would he get jealous? Surely he would... The thoughts urged you to test the waters. It's not like he wouldn't do things on purpose to make a fool out of himself
Standing up and blowing an opaque cloud of smoke into Williams face, you blunted the cig and straightened out your deep, navy dress.
"Bastard." He spluttered as his hand waved the tobacco fumes away. "Where you trottin' off to then?"
"Getting a closer look at the golden boys on stage, I need to see what all this wailing's about."
Eyes sharp like daggers followed you to the stage from afar. It was hard not to feel them burning a hole in the back of your head, but it wasn't like you were about to neck it off with another man; so you ignored your fiancé's protective glare quite blissfully.
"Aren't they just adorable?" A brunette girl beside you had clutched both hands on her heart as if she were struck with one of Cupid's arrows.
"Oh they most certainly are.. I swear he just looked at me!" Her blonde companion squealed in response.
Oh, this was definitely not your crowd of people. The group on stage were quite cute... but nothing worth wetting your pants over - like the girl in front of you had done.
Sighing in defeat, you decided that was one too many mediocre heartthrob artists for the night; it was time to return to your seat and order a well earned shandy.
You turned on the heel of your dap and walked straight into the chest of an older man. He was relatively tall with gelled back blonde hair, a thick stubble and kind eyes.
"My apologies sir, I'm at fault for walking so aimlessly!"
The blonde man, who was made up rather well, squinted his eyes but softened his judgemental gaze in understanding soon after.
"Aye don't worry dar, I can forgive a pretty little mouse like you."
He threw his arm around your shoulder and ruffled your hair quite harshly with the other hand
"Come and grab a drink with me if you're really sorry, pet."
That was most definitely not an invite, more like a demand. Not on your cards tonight to watch a dragging band performance and then get pursued by an extremely run of the mill business man, but here you were.
"Sorry sir but I have a fiancé, I was just heading back to my table actually."
"Right, sorry love. Off on your way then." He acknowledged, reasonably put out and embarrassed. With the amount of women on the dance floor, there were plenty of fish in the sea for him no doubt.
That was a bit awkward, you thought to yourself. There was no possible outcome in which William wouldn't be amused by your appalling attempt at making him jealous.
After manoeuvring your way back to the table, you realised he wasn't sat there anymore, in his place sat a small note on a slightly screwed up tissue.
'Gone out to beer garden, too bloody busy.' Was messily scrawled out on the napkin - followed by a poor attempt at an angry face... You grabbed your coat and retired to the quieter scenery outside.
Only a few groups of people dwelled there, all distracted and minding their own business. The sharp smell of tobacco hit you in the face immediately and lingered momentarily before dispersing.
"Had a nice time in there?" William chortled "I was gonna grab you but there were far too many heads grouped together, it was like trying to find a black cat in a coal bin."
He puffed on his newly lit cig and passed it to you
"Wasn't awful, I can dig the music just not the hoard of screaming foxes that comes with."
His long arm slithered around your waist to pull you in closer, the breeze had turned raw and your exhales turned to condensation in the chilly climate.
Just as you relaxed into his hold, the man from earlier, who was now completely and utterly drunk, stumbled into the beer garden. It seemed he'd been pushed out to calm down by his friends whom were significantly more down to earth than him.
"Oh its the pretty little lady from earlier... you know she was all over me, feeling my muscles and melting into my hold. Better get her in order, mate." The drunkard sneered at you both smugly
At first, William had no explosive reaction, although he sat up and pulled away from you slightly, considering what the man told him.
"There's no way you believe what he's saying?" Your tone a mix of defence and incredulity, scoffing at his hesitation to answer, scowl returning to the other man. "Look, I honestly don't understand your problem, if I upset you then I'm terribly sorry, but please consider removing yourself before you embarrass us all."
William's eyes darted toward your figure and brows scrunched into an expression of that laced with anger, he was absolutely livid.
Standing and approaching the drunk blonde, he assertively towered above him at 6'3.
"Don't be a prick mate, go and sober up."
The height of the situation was growing tenser by the second.
You tried to split it up but to no avail, as the two stared each other down intensely.
After a minute of convincing, the pair of you decided itd be best to leave
"Can't blame me when I tried to push her away! Nothing but a little slut looking for-" he was cut off quite suddenly with a fist to his nose.
"I said sober up you prick."
Will grabbed at his collar and pushed the bleeding accuser against the fence, drawing the attention of other smokers in the garden, spitting on his shoe forcefully.
"Come on let's go."
He signalled you to grab your possessions to leave the pub.
Weaving around the countless crowds of people became overwhelming, mixed with the strong scent of tobacco and alcohol it made the exit seem much more awaited than ever.
The journey home was long and silent whilst William ambled beside you with his hands in his pockets. It was an awkward atmosphere, but that's nothing you couldn't work your way out of.
"Quite the show you put on there, love."
"Had to bring a bit of excitement, didn't I?" he sighed deeply, pulling you into a tight embrace, kissing the top of your head. "Lets get home and listen to some oldies, sound good?"
"Gear." You replied softly, as you held each other tightly. There was nothing that would top this feeling.
"Wanna get away from here?" He hummed into your hair when you arrived home "Move to America in a few years, I'd love to start a business far away from these boring ends. I know some people who are into building machines like me, it could probably go quite far. What do you think?"
"Anywhere with you sounds like heaven"

A/N: Points to anyone who knows which band I was referencing as if they weren't extremely popular... I originally wanted to make it as though you two would dance to the music but I mean. The mania girls would get when they saw boy bands wouldn't give you that time, so why not add a knobhead getting a punch in the face by yours truly... This is my first piece so please don't criticise me too much lolol. I'd appreciate feedback and requests if you feel like it! Don't hesitate I wont criticise you. Just. Obviously don't be weird..
Love youse x

I was thinking about it, and realised that to have been well acquainted with William you would've had to have been seeing each other since at least the sixties, assuming he was born in the early-ish forties (If I've done the maths right pfft) and that's my favourite era for music. He would be in his late teens I suppose. Can you imagine having all the oldies on as you two danced in the local pub together... Hehehe. Might just write something about it for my first post
