what if I create a dude who’s 6’4?
what if I have him drink something weird once that makes him shrink smaller and smaller in intervals in front of his fiancé?
what if little dude finally stops shrinking at 1 & 1/2 centimeters tall?
what if I put him into some situations?

A soft reminder: you're safe now - safe from the memories, the people who caused you pain, and a past that made you doubt yourself. Those things no longer hold power over you; they don't define who you are. Remember to treat yourself with kindness as you heal, because kindness is what will help you move forward as a stronger person. You are safe to start this new chapter, freeing yourself from old burdens, but holding close the lessons and growth you've earned.

A Rather Big Problem....
These are the events that took place the moment the curse became rouge and found Oscar. I'm not that good of a writer so I will try my best, and hopefully ya'll like it.
Walking down the hallway of Opal Inc., Oscar stares up the towering bookshelves that nearly touches the ceiling. As he scans the endless rows of books, his eyes had caught a glimpse of someone, Rosie. Floating there, with her soft pink hair flowing and her delicate blue eyes looking for a specific book. Possibly on medicine, it's her profession. She was a bit plumper than an average elf, but he didn't care. He adored her in any shape or form. Oscar couldn't help but stare at her lovingly.
"I guess today is the day we do it, buddy! If Martin is right, she'll surely accept." He thought to himself.
He walked closer to the bookshelf, where he rehearsed what to say as she was still focused on her book. He took a few deep breaths and mustered up the courage to get these words past his lips. He is determined to combat his bad luck, and he will arise victorious no matter what. But what if she says no? That's alright. They're still friends either way.
"What if it just becomes awkward, and she doesn't want to be around me? Or even be seen with me?? We've been friends for so long! What if she hates me?! This is so embarrassing! Oh! She's coming down!" He pulled himself from his flood of thoughts as he saw his friend descend gracefully, with her book in hand.
"U-Um...Hey, Rosie? I was kinda wondering, or maybe hoping if you would be up to....Hanging with me after work?? Not like in the way we do every day but something different. Like...ummm. " The words got caught in his throat. He couldn't bring himself to say it. No! He has to! It's now or never! His face became fully flushed and adjusted his glasses as he forced the words out.
"Would you go on a date with me?"
"Sorry, Oscar, did you say something?" Rosie lifted her head from the book as her feet finally touched the tiled floor.
Oscar's body felt like a block of stone, frozen in place as he immediately regrets anything that came out of his mouth. His heart skipped a beat as she looked at his still form. She waved her hand in his face to get his attention. He blinked, and his cheeks got redder as he saw how close she was to him. "Oh, I uh, I didn't say anything. Nothing important." He lightly chuckled, Rosie didn't seem convinced raising her eyebrow. She knows his mannerisms and recognizes that look in his eye that he had something to say. She brushed it off with a grin and patted him on the shoulder.
Before they could walk any further, a crash was heard through the front doors. Screams and chaos ensued as the employees scattered to safety. They cleared the way as quickly possible. The two looked at each other in confusion as they turned to see something heading right toward them. It was too fast to see, but it was clearly a threat. It bounced and scattered in each direction, off the walls, through windows, and blowing papers off the desks. Then, it made a beeline heading straight to no one who has the best of luck; Oscar. Before Rosie could warn him to watch out, Oscar was blown right across the lobby, through the wall. His body was in severe pain as he laid their limp. His head was swimming more than it usually would. There was something in his throat, and something inside him told him to swallow. As soon as he gulped it down, his limbs started to throb and pulse, numbing everything in his system. However, he felt this tingling sensation he couldn't quite describe. His vision became fuzzy, and dark spots surrounding everything he saw. Except one face he could make out, Rosie. He couldn't quite hear her, but he could tell she was yelling at him in concern. Thick wet tears left her eyes and slid down her face. He hated to see her upset. He tried to say something to comfort her, but he was in too much pain to make a sound. Before he could do anything else, everything faded to black.
Oscar stirred and groaned as his head felt like bowling ball, heavy and rolling around. Everything in sight was blurry, and he couldn't make out where he was. Then, he realized he didn't have his glasses. They had broken from the force of impact when he got hit. A sting of pain gripped him, and he hissed in pain as he rubbed his temples. After the pain subsided, he decided he needed to figure out where he was. First things first, this wasn't his apartment building. He looked down and noticed he wasn't wearing his work clothes. It was a hospital gown. Was he in a hospital?? He heard the doorknob turn, and Rosie poked her head through. Seeing that he had finally woken up, she rushed to his side and hugged him as tight as she could.
"Rosie? OW! Still in pain. Still in pain." He wheezed.
"Oh no! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, darling! I was so worried about you because you literally got blown through a freaking wall! But, I'm just happy you're alive. Phew!" Rosie frantically waved around her hands to emphasize her concern. Oscar couldn't help but smile at her and lay himself back onto the pillow with a sigh of relief.
"Alright, I'll check your vitals, and I'll grab some breakfast and DON'T leave that spot! You need rest, plenty of it. Got it, mister?" Rosie demanded as she pointed at him to remain still. Oscar chuckled and mocked her with a salute. Hearing her attitude with care made his heart swell, a little too literally.
When the door closed, Oscar noticed this feeling in his chest, and he put a hand on it in curiosity. Maybe in fear as well. The more he pondered on it, the more the swelling became apparent. He started to hyperventilate as his limbs began to feel sore. He didn't know what to do. He noticed that his body felt heavier when he heard the bed creaking underneath him. This made his anxiety spike. He then felt his legs push themselves off the edge of the bed and touch the cold floor. His hospital gown felt tight all around until it ripped off his growing body. He couldn't stop. He couldn't do anything. His panic kept getting worse, and so did this new feeling. He looked at his hands, and they started growing thicker and longer.
"What's happening to me?!" He asked himself.
As if things couldn't get any worse, the bed collapsed under his weight as his head touched the ceiling, harshly brushing his violet hair. The walls were closing in. He couldn't really tell, but he knew that everything was getting smaller. His beatbeat banged against his chest and echoed through the walls. His breathing increased and shut his eyes tight.
Oscar heard the doorknob jiggle, but his enormous leg had blocked it from opening it.
"Oscar? Did you lock the door? I thought I told you not to get out of bed!" Rosie's voice was heard on the other side. What? She couldn't see him like this! He didn't even know what was going on with his body! Oscar couldn't move. It was too cramped. A sob escaped his quivering lips as tears pricked his eyes. He did his best to remain quiet, but under the current circumstances, he couldn't really help it. Rosie noticed his voice sounding louder than usual but decided to ignore it and focus on calming her friend down.
"Oscar? Please listen to me. I need you to close your eyes and take a deep breath for me, okay?" Rosie carefully instructed.
Oscar, stifling his sobs, closed his eyes and attempted to breathe in what room he had left. His breath was shaking each time he tried to calm his nerves. His chest felt a little less tight as he began to shrink slightly. The more he breathed, the more room he had left. The door was finally opened, and Rosie couldn't believe what she saw. The room was a mess, the bed was broken, and the gown was shredded all over the floor. Some furniture was either knocked over or crushed by the giant secretary. She didn't blink as she saw Oscar, half naked, with his head buried in his knees. Clearly embarrassed about the situation and the lack of clothes he had on.
"What just happened, and why are you naked??"
Oscar's face turned scarlet red at the question and buried his head deeper to hide his face.
The End...

imagine having to return to dating people your height after having a rough breakup with a giant or tiny. like.
your lover hugs you, their head on your shoulder, and it’s nice - but it isn’t the feeling of giant fingers around you, a huge hand compressing your entire form against a giant chest. when your lover laughs, it’s quiet, not a booming noise that shakes your entire body. you can lay on top of them, but it’ll never be the same as curling your entire body into the crook of a giant’s neck.
on the other side, the massive change of having a lover who isn’t a tiny. you can’t put them in your pocket on rough days. you have to cook more food instead of setting aside tiny bites of the best bits. you hold your lovers hand, but it’ll never ever replicate the feeling of an entire person in your palm.
how do you go back to normal after losing a love like that?
