I made strawberry jam! The berries were already very sweet and I added a bit too much sugar, but it still came out delicious. The little jar is a bit of jam that I’m going to give to my grandmother as a small gift <3

Kota was all about helping out good causes, and this was what he considered to be one of the best. He’d dabbled in so many things that he was surprisingly a good baker, so when she charged him with starting the batter, he immediately started going around and getting what he needed. “Oh, that sounds awesome!” Kota grinned. “You know what we could do? We could either ice each cupcake a different color or we could pipe a couple colors of icing onto each cupcake.”
Preheating the oven to 350, she grabbed a matching set of aprons hanging nearby and handed one to Kota. “Oh I love the idea of piping on a bunch of colors on a cupcake! Maybe we can drip a bit of all the colors together in the icing bowl, that way they swirl on perfectly on each cupcake. Like tie dye! No one can resit a yummy and colorful cupcake.”

“Oh, no biggie! Glad you still made it. Now, if we want to have enough cupcakes for the bake sale tomorrow, we gotta get to baking ‘em. So, vanilla, or chocolate?” she asked.
“I am so sorry I’m late,” Dakota spoke, parking his bike. “I was, uh… busy.”

Farrah looked up from her place at the front desk. She smiled, ecstatic to hear that he was looking to adopt. “Well then, you’ve come to the right place. We have so many loving cats here. Would you like take a tour of the cat room?” Farrah was practically bouncing in place. Any time she had the opportunity to go into the room with the animals made her very excited.
“Hi! Erm—I was hoping to look into adopting a cat, actually?” Tigger asked the girl in front of him nervously as he hit his lip.

“I would gladly be your smoothie taster every time you make a new one. As long as it does not have celery in it, that is.” Artemis set the cup down on the kitchen counter. “All good ideas, and I suggest you add baking in that list. It’s very fun.”
“Hey, don’t knock it till ya try it. Celery can surprise you when complemented with the right kind of ingredients. And oh, already ahead of you! Baking is one of my favorite things to do. I thank my easy bake oven I got when I was five for starting that passion,” she joked playfully, taking a sip from her cup before looking back at her, her expression softening up a bit. “Actually, can I..ask you a question?”

“I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have that.” Artemis took a look at the drink in her hand as the ingredients were identified. “That is a weird combination but I like all those individually so maybe it won’t be so bad together.” She took a sip of the drink then. It took her taste buds to adjust but it wasn’t so bad. “Okay, it’s good.”
She grinned. “Yay! Glad you liked it. I’ve been having a little bit more free time than usual lately, so I picked up a smoothie book at the book store and decided to perfect the craft of smoothie making. I might take on pottery next. Or knitting,” she said, grabbing the blender and pouring herself a cup.

Farrah giggled, rolling her eyes playfully at the girl. “Oh geez, just have a little bit of faith in me. Ok, so it’s a combination of peaches, rolled oats, chia seeds, one banana and some orange juice. Try it, you’re gonna love it!”
- But please tell me what’s actually in it before I try it.”

“Oh how nice. Except....you didn’t answer my last question,” Farrah said, wiggling her brows. She was always a hopeless romantic and she was far too nosy about those things to let it go.
doexeyedxfarrah:
“Soooo…spill! Tell me all about your Christmas! Did you get to spend it with family? Did you drink some nog? Did you get to kiss anybody under the mistletoe?” she teased as she wiggled her brows, bursting out in a laugh.
“I did. I had my little brother and sister and a few friends. We didn’t have any egg nog, though,” Nani chuckled, not answering the girl’s final question.

“Oh congrats! Glad to hear it was a good one! It’s my first Christmas here too. Well, in Santa Monica at least. I live in not too too far from here though. Where are you from, if you don’t mind me asking? And oh, it’s eggnog, which is like this traditional Christmas milky egg drink. I’m vegan though, so I had to make my own, but I know that a lot of people like to have it for the holidays.”

“Well, I spent my first Christmas here and it was amazing! I had a lot of fun with my parents. Although, I’m unsure what nog is and it’s been a very long time since I last kissed someone under the mistletoe,” Catrina admitted.

“Two our of three, not bad,” she said with a wink before bursting out in a giggle. “Honestly, same here. No mistletoe kisses this year. I did make some homemade vegan nog tho and my family came to town to visit, which made me really happy cause I got to play tour guide for a little while. And now, we await the new year! Gosh, can you believe how fast time has gone? This year went by in a blink!”

“Yes to everything except kissing anyone under the mistletoe,” Trixie giggled. “What about you?”

Farrah ordered her hot chocolate, letting the waiter go with a ‘happy holidays’ before turning her attention back to Kim. “Oh, I understand then. The holidays can be really stressful, especially when you’re wondering what to get others. But the best way to get by is just by embracing the moment and the holiday cheer. Also, jamming to some Christmas tunes really does the trick,” she said with a giggle. “So, what are your plans for the big day?” She asked, referring to Christmas Day.
Kim looked to the girl beside her, “I think a coffee is well deserved at this point. I know I could do with the caffeine.” She sighed before smiling, “I hate to say it but I can’t wait for Christmas to be over. It’s a lot of stress for one day.”
“Oooh! Agreed! I think I’m gonna get myself a cup of hot cocoa then.” Farrah’s eyes widened at the girls comment. “But Christmas is the absolute best! Plus it goes by so quick already. I honestly can’t believe how fast the year went by.”

Farrah had several bags and wrapped up boxes in her hands, trying her hardest not to trip before finally plopping down next to her. “Whew, I second that. Who knew shopping was so much work? It should definitely be considered a sport, especially during the holiday season.”
Kim had been running around all day without a break trying to get her Christmas shopping done before she went back to Middleton for a few days for Christmas. Her hands were full of shopping bags and she knew now she needed to sit down before she dropped taking the phrase shop till you drop to a new level. She took a seat, letting her shopping bags drop beside her. "I think that's me done, well I hope it is."

Farrah immediately squealed. “Oh my goodness! Congratulations!” she said as she clapped her hands excitedly. “An engagement! How exciting! And wow it’s absolutely beautiful,” she swooned.
“Yes yes, it is true.” Madelyn smirked as she held up her hand so the other person could see the stunning ring on her finger. “I know it’s brilliant.” She gave a smug look as she examined the ring again herself not really able to stop looking at it.

“Oh, you know I got you. I’ll help out in any way that I can.” Gemma smiled until she mentioned going out for a night of dancing. “Yes!” She exclaimed, grinning. “Let me pour the wine, turn on some music, and we’ll get the night going.”
“And that's why you’re the best,” she said, playfully booping the girls nose with a giggle. “Alright let’s get this night started!”
