can maurice come on here and say that someone starving or cutting themself doesnt give you the right to deny them bodily autonomy? yes, it's unhealthy, but the person doing it is probably WELL aware of that. they will heal in their own time and you cant force that no matter how much you think itll help. also, for some people cutting is the only way to relieve stress. if they aren't cutting in dangerous places or very deep, leave them alone. if they aren't about to die from starvation, leave them alone. can he say that?

Hate how when a fictional character (usually a tall skinny dude in a suit) clearly has NPD, everyone romanticizes/fetishizes it and treats them like they are just “cool” “confident” “focused on their goals”, and then when their tragic backstory is introduced everyone is like “awww poor baby is just trying to cope 💔” “I can fix them ❤️”

But God forbid a REAL person with REAL trauma develops NPD. God forbid the traits of those fictional characters actually effect real people. God FORBID those people seek help or ask to be taken seriously. God forbid they do anything!!!! Ever!!! /s

It sometimes feels like NPD is fetishized by neurotypicals until they think someone they don’t like has it. Then boom, that’s when you get your narc abuse truthers and your “everyone i don’t like has NPD!!” People. NPD is so fucking stupid because what do you mean I get outraged when someone WHO I LITERALLY LOVE AND WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL gets attention and praise ON SOMETHING I LITERALLY WANTED THEM TO DO WELL ON

where is the love for people who are manipulative by nature and are trying their best to fight it? we tell cluster Bs all the time that they're not inherently manipulative or toxic but what about those of us who are? some of us are inclined towards being toxic or manipulative by nature. some of us lack essential social functions like empathy and compassion, and it's not because we're evil, it's because repeated trauma degraded our brain's ability to perform those functions. it can be a constant, exhausting battle to not want to be cruel, but to have to fight your very nature to avoid cruelty. i think that those of us who have to carry that burden deserve love.
