Makes sense to me. Bowser's always portrayed with a squat posture.

In the Nintendo Switch version of Super Mario RPG, most characters' proportions have been modified from their regular ones by making them more squat with shorter limbs.

However, in a unique case, Bowser's legs actually have been made longer. Above is a comparison between Bowser's standard model on the left and his Super Mario RPG model on the right.

Okay I’m currently furious that migraines are often so blindly easy to treat and I had to find this out myself at the age of 26 when I’ve been to a neurologist since I was 11 lol so I’m about to teach you two neat and fast little tricks to deal with pain!

The first is the sternocleidomastoid muscle, or the SCM muscle.

This big red section is responsible for pain around the eye, cheekbone, and jaw, as well as some temple pain. Literally all you have to do is angle your head down a little, angle it away from the side that hurts, and then you can gently pinch and rub that muscle. I find it best to start at the bottom and travel upwards. The relief is so immediate! You can increase pressure as you feel comfortable doing so.

The second is a fast and easy stretch that soothes your vagus nerve, which is the nerve responsible for calming you down. The vagus nerve, for those unfamiliar, is stimulated by deep breathing such as yawning, sighing, singing, or taking a deep breath to calm your anger in a tense situation.

You can stretch this out by sitting up as straight as possible (this does not have to be perfect to work) and interlacing your fingers. Put your hands on the back of your head with your thumbs going down the sides of your neck and, while keeping your face forward, look all the way to one side with just your eyes. Hold that until you feel the urge to breathe deeply or yawn, or until you can tell there’s a change. Then do the same thing on the other side. When you put your arms down, you should clearly be able to turn your head farther in both directions. If the first session doesn’t get rid of your migraine, rest and repeat as many times as necessary. I even get a little fancy with it and roll my eyes up and down along the outer edge sometimes to stretch as much as I can.

If you need a visual here’s a good video on it. I know some of the language they use seems questionable but this is real and simple science and should not be discarded because it’s been adopted by the trendy wellness crowd!

I seriously cannot believe I didn’t hear a word of this from any doctor in my life. Additionally, if you get frequent recurring migraines, you may want to see a dietician. Migraines can be caused by foods containing histamines, lectin, etc. and can also be caused by high blood pressure in specific situations such as exercise, stress, and even sex.

been working on a big super mario content pack for the past few months for ring racers!

its not quite finished yet, but here's a handful of racers who i've had finished for a little bit (mario content from my previous pack will be moved to this as well!)

Mario's also really independent. He likes to do a lot of things himself and in earlier games, it's implied that he even resents the idea that he needs help in the first place, like when Gaz says that Mario needs all the help he can get.

I feel that best ties into his blue collar roots as he's kind of used to... well, getting his hands dirty. (Maybe that's why he started wearing gloves.) And having other people involved means you need to manage and in some cases, micromanage, and that can get in the way of his work.

But I feel in recent years, he's gotten much more used to accepting help when it's offered, and even has grown to care about the people who fight alongside him.

Do you have any opinion on angry/serious Mario in Smash Bros and Strikers, as opposed to happy Mario in nearly everything else?

I love when we get to see him that way tbh. Most people say he's too out of character in Smash and Strikers. And honestly? I disagree.

In a number of games, it's established that Mario has a bit of a temper. It's also been established that he can be pretty competitive. Combine the two and he can be pretty fierce. Which is cool to me! He'll be the nicest guy you'll ever meet and he's someone who is fully capable of smashing a skull in if need be.

I think some of the people that say he's out of character when he gets angry and competitive are people who don't understand his entire character. People who think he's just happy all the time and that's that, nothing else, and get bamboozled when it's established he actually has other personality traits other than that.

Yeah he's typically a cheerful guy, but.. is it that wrong to establish that he can lose his shit every once in a while?

In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…

And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…

Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.

He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.
