Reblog if you are willing to write in-depth, significant, and valued FRIENDSHIPS.
There is so much focus on romantic/sexual relationships lately. Friendships are incredibly important for characters too, and deserve as much love and attention as romantic/sexual relationships.

SO I WANT THIS PLOT: it’s platonic. i’m sorry if you don’t like it bye.
basically it’s a female and her male best friend, may he be gay or not and whenever he sees her falling into a bad date or something he’s like “calling it” and she just kind of rolls her eyes and goes for it anyway, then after the said date goes TERRIBLY, she’ll come home with this look of despair on her face and her best friend is waiting for her on the couch with ice cream and a great movie and she’ll do the same for him and when breakups go bad they’re there for each other even if it’s like fucking three in the morning aND THERE ARE NO UNDERLYING FEELINGS THEY’RE LITERALLY JUST BEST FRIENDS WHO LOVE EACH OTHER IN A COMPLETELY PLATONIC FUCKING WAY CAN I HAVE THIS OR NAW??

It’s aromantic awareness week!
An aromantic person is someone who doesn’t feel romantic attraction. This is the briefest description ever though, so if anyone wants to know more about it just shoot me a message and I’d be happy to answer any questions!
Note: Obviously not all aromantic people value friendship or other relationships more than alloromantic people (people who DO feel romantic attraction), and those aro people are just as valid and nice! <3

Calli ran her fingers over the letter, gently tracing the lettering before moving her attention to the collection of pillows displayed almost artfully on her desk. She took careful note of the soft fabric as she stroked the pink heart, smiling to herself.
‘It’s moments like these,’ Cali considered, heart full of love and affection for the young guardian she was lucky to call her friend, ‘that made life worth the cliffs and hard edged.’ Gathering the gifts, she headed towards her room. She had a sneaking suspicion they’d make fantastic cuddle buddies.

Never forget people who taught you great things in life. Always look back and have time to appreciate them. For they are a part of you and your story. Without these good people, you’ll never be the person who you are right now. They helped you to build your confidence, they inspired you to believe in yourself. So as much as you can, continue appreciating them for all of their contribution to your positive life. Never forget people who were there when you felt you lost everything. They were blessings in your life, keep them with you. Walk with them.

Stop minimizing and discounting your feelings. You have every right to feel the way you do. Your feelings may not always be logical, but they are always valid. Because if you feel something, then you feel it and it’s real to you. It’s not something you can ignore or wish away. It’s there, gnawing at you, tugging at your core, and in order to find peace, you have to give yourself permission to feel whatever it is you feel. You have to let go of what you’ve been told you “should” or “shouldn’t” feel. You have to drown out the voices of people who try to shame you into silence. You have to listen to the sound of your own breathing and honor the truth inside you. Because despite what you may believe, you don’t need anyone’s validation or approval to feel what you feel. Your feelings are inherently right and true. They’re important and they matter — you matter — and it is more than okay to feel what you feel. Don’t let anyone, including yourself, convince you otherwise.

Do you ever just need to be touched?  Not even in a sexual way, just touched.  A hug, a pat on the back, a squeeze of your hand.  Just fucking anything to make you feel like you’re still real.
