Btw you can ask anonymously if you want :3
For fans of "Sing, O Muse, of Agony"
I offer a little game when you ask some characters directly questions (no story spoilers will be revealed).
The questions will be answered by characters with some cute doodles in addition to it <3

I am really tempted to write a series of oneshots for "Sing, O Muse, of Agony" with an au where Laertes was never sick and he got to be a good dad to his kids.
But tbh with you I'm mostly tempted to write it just for the comedy of Priam and Laertes being petty as hell while not realising that their kids are getting along too well hahahaha

What if idea this is based on some of the stories about Odysseus is family. What if his entire bloodline/ family was curse with bad luck but every time they're around a deity or any creature with divine blood it kind of paradoxes and it ends up with them having good luck and the deity's having bad luck? I mean wouldn't it be funny
Interesting concept 🤔
It would for sure be challenging to not make them look malicious despite the fact that they are causing others to have bad luck.
It also depends on how much bad luck we are talking about. Is it just them tripping and losing stuff or something serious like loved ones dying?
There are few stories with similar concepts that I really like but I can't really think of a potential plot for a story like that.

Okay but how about a creepy scenario where Calypso somehow reaches Troy during war and she promises to aid Greeks in the war (since she isn't an Olympian she doesn't have the same rules).
At first she doesn't seem to demand much in exchange. Mostly respect and some company from time to time Lila talk or play games.
But with time Odysseus can't help but feel like she is always staring at him. No matter how many men are in the room, her eyes will always follow his movement. He feels uncomfortable but he tries to ignore it for the better good.
But one day she demands more. She wants Odysseus to be the one to spend time with her. She even demands what activities they would be doing together.
She wants to feed him, bath with him, sleep in the same tent. Odysseus tells other kings that he doesn't want him but they tell him to not cause a problem since the goddess is helping them a lot.
But after time their best tactitian is getting worse. He looks tired, barely talks to anyone, doesn't let anyone touch him. But to their shock he looks...younger. They ask him about him but all he says is that she has a pretty voice.
Greeks get worried and they follow Odysseus to see what's happening. The goddess feeds him nectar, kisses his face and keeps his arms tied. Odysseus still tries to refuse and run from her but it's when she giggles and starts to sing. Odysseus can't do anything but sit while she removes his pins...

Prince of Ithaca Astyanax angst idea
"I love my dad but he's a liar"
But the lies are "I'm fine, you don't have to worry about me" when in reality he's suffering in Ogygia and the aftermath of it
"My dad has his flaws, but he's the best! He's brave, and strong, and kind, I love my dad! But... he's a liar. He says he's fine but I can hear him screaming in the middle of the night. He says he's getting enough sleep but I can see the dark circles under his eyes. He says he's full but he's getting thinner everyday. Why does he lie to me?"
Inspired by this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O15dxrBNuAQ
Use it if you want :)
Oh you know how to deliver a good angst. I'm so proud of you!
I remember watching this video years ago and now you reminded me about it. It is sweet and a little sad.
Tbh I'm not sure if I would use it simply because I never had any idea for a fic with Ody and Astyanax.
But I still love it and it makes me think of interesting relationship that Telemachus or Neo would have with Astyanax. Tele and Neo know his facade of a hero but Astyanax experienced him at his lowest and most fragile. It makes me curious but I swear to god I need to be done with "Sing, O Muse, of Agony" first or I'll never be done with it hahaha

Many people had an idea for a story where Astyanax wants to have his revenge on Oddysseus...but how about Hector surviving in some way and he is the one who wants to take revenge?
He travels to Ithaca only to discover his child being surrounded by a loving family and how the soldier he believes to be a ruthless tactician is just a loving father and husband?
Hector never before got a chance to see this side of Odysseus...hell! Many Greeks didn't even see this side of him. Of the man who simply hates war and is happy to live a calm life with those who he loves the most.

Question to the readers of "Sing, O Muse, of Agony":
I have a plan for a story dedicated to flashback dedicated to Ody killing the boar.

Hello! So for your Tailor of the gods AU would Ithica be considered like a lost City? (i.g Atlantis, El Dorado) I know it was said that the God both protect and provide for the nation because they are possessive about Ody. Or do they still trade with the outside world? Just something I was curious about.
I think I would treat it more like an island of Circe or Aeolus.
It is possible to sail there, but the island itself isn't that well known.
Most people of Ithaca don't interact with the outside world because they find it awkward due to different lifespans. If they travel to other places they act more like tourists.
Ithaca is more often visited by nymphs and lesser gods who enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of it.
Because the island isn't commonly known it is mostly safe but if someone would try to attack it some gods for sure would try to protect it.

I mean we have a lot of Odysseus what ifs but what about some telemachus what ifs? Do you have anything in mind?
Some of them are reserved later for my fic.
With others it's complicated because Tele's life will obviously be affected by the life of his parents so it's hard to write just an au for him.
Not a lot would change in his routine if it happened that he had something unnatural since he would still want to protect his mother and I don't like shipping his with suitors.
Another thing is that I am personally more attached to Telemachus from the Odyssey instead of the one from Epic.
An aus/headcanons I can possibly share now are that:
- Telemachus has feathers in his hair. They are short and easy to miss at first but any time he is very happy or embarrassed they puff up so his hair looks fluffier.
- Neo (Achilles' son) declared himself Tele's rival without Tele knowing about it. Neo is partly jealous of the fact that Odysseus refused his offer in joining him and with how now Ody was a father of someone else than him. Neo challenges Tele for various things to prove that he's a better son than Tele meanwhile Telemachus just thinks he got himself a weird friend who enjoys competitions.

Chapter 11 of "Sing, O Muse, of Agony" is out!!!
It is probably one of my favourite chapters I ever wrote. There were things that I sadly had to cut for the sake of the length of the chapter, but I'll do my best to include some of those scenes in later story if there will be a good time and place for them =^^=

ME ME I WANNA HEAR ABT ERIS/ODY I WANNA HEAR!!!!! i say jumping and raising my hand like a child
Is this the Tailor-of-the-Gods AU or the fem!ody AU?
Perhaps a new AU entirely? 👀
Okay so the goddess was chilling in the forest when she witnessed the beautiful young king (who also maybe has wings, I'm still not sure).
She pretends to be a normal woman to talk to him and the king acts politely and is kind towards her.
Eris learns that this is Odysseus and he is Hermes's kin. She wants to ask the god to bless the relationship but he says that it's up to Odysseus to choose.
But Odysseus doesn't love her. He wouldn't mind being her friend but he is not in love with her and he doesn't want to become immortal.
Eris still tries to use her tricks and manipulation to seduce him but thanks to Athena Odysseus was mostly safe.
And this is why Eris later punishes the three goddesses.
- the one who guarded her love from her
- the one who would not bless her with marriage
- and the one who would not make the beautiful king love her back.
Eris demanded that she will only lift the curse if she gets to marry Odysseus and gods are finally willing to agree.
Eris just waits for Ody to be in his best age so once he becomes a god and stops aging he would always be her handsome husband
Teen Ody is being groomed to become a god only to each night escape to Sparta to be with the woman he loves
I imagine the story to be in a myth like structure where Ody would find a way to be with Penelope at the end
Odysseus would find a way to permanently bind his lifespan to Penelope. That way gods can't separate them without causing harm.
It could also symbolise how Ody and Penelope represents the love of kindred spirits
It could fit into the tailor of gods' au but I like to treat it as its own thing.
Just a story/idea that has a potential to be expanded on

I'll be honest with you guys. Chapter 11 that I'm currently working on is probably one of my favourite chapters of all time.
It's not going to be filled with mysteries or some current drama but...it just hits differently...
