Miraculous Coccinella

Synopsis:

Best friends as civilians, reluctant partners as superheroes; Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Lila Rossi are chosen to stand against Paris’s local terrorist, HawkMoth.

Things seem simple at first but… as lies and secrets accumulate, it becomes increasingly difficult to tell right from wrong, hero from villain, friend from foe.

Marinette will need to keep her moral compass and her wits about her as she navigates the new life she has been thrown into.

This is the sort of thing I used to share on my Patreon, so, here's some sketches from last year:

I remember these were based off a bunch of Real People Pose References which is why the style is a little different on some of them.

Here's my initial page on the New Mayura, when redesigning a character I have to draw out the original so I know what I'm springing off of.

Initially I wasn't sure if Nathalie would get the Peacock or Butterfly Miraculous, so this spread is me messing with possible Butterfly Nathalie ideas. I think it completely depends on if she'd be out in the field with her akumas or hidden like Hawkmoth.

And the Finale Heroes Day outfits for the class. I wanted to make sure I had an even balance of Marigold vs Chat Noir fans so seeing everyone next to each other helped me keep track.
