Week 12 This week, we completed the first part of our assessment by taking an online quiz consisting of 28 questions, with a time limit of 45 minutes to complete it.

Week 11

This week truly marked the start of the final phase in our SDE course. Our instructor provided us with helpful learning materials and video discussions that gave us a clear direction moving forward. We were given both individual and group assignments, with the unique requirement of submitting them in both digital and handwritten formats. I found the individual tasks quite doable, especially with the insights I gained from the provided resources. The group work also went well so our team communicated effectively and worked together, which made the experience smooth and even enjoyable.

Week 10

Hello everyone!!

Finally!! We presented our interactive Figma design, showcasing the system's flow and interface, to three panelists, including our instructor, Sir Carl. It was both nerve-wracking and exciting to finally share what we had been working on. Each panelist provided valuable feedback, suggesting improvements such as enhancing the visuals, adjusting font sizes for better readability, and choosing more complementary color combinations. We also received recommendations regarding the functionality of some buttons.

Week 9

Hello everyoneee!!

We had our midterm exam this week. I made sure to review all the modules and topics thoroughly, feeling confident and prepared. I concentrated on mastering the diagram processes and aimed to pass the exam. Although I encountered a few difficulties, I was relieved to see that most of the questions were familiar, and I believe I was able to answer the majority of them but unsure of those.

Week 8

Good day everyone!!

We attended a Figma workshop where we learned the fundamentals of UI/UX design. We were introduced to key concepts such as frames, components, and prototyping. Although I’m already somewhat familiar with Figma, I realized that I still need to deepen my understanding to make the most of its features. As part of the workshop, the instructor gave us an activity where we had to create a landing page for a system that could address a real-world problem, allowing us to put into practice everything we learned during the session. I wasn't able to stay any longer because I have class on another subject and excused myself. Still the knowledge I learned here regarding figma is crucial on our system implementation.

Week 7

Hello everyone!!

At this day, we had quiz 2 covering the topics 3 and 4. Part 1 is multiple choice like in quiz 1 and I don't know if I did even decently but part 2 was not that bad since the questions were all about the diagrams that we tackled and I provided the requirement for each of the problems with the diagram but I'm still not adept on these so I'm not particularly confident on my answers.

Week 6

Good day everyone!!

Today, we started with an icebreaker game called "Rebus Puzzle," where we had to guess the meaning of pictures, some of which included clues and underscores to help us figure them out. After the game, we discussed different types of diagrams, including Activity Diagrams, Use Case Diagrams, ERD Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, and more. We also did an activity that challenged our creativity by designing and fixing images to make them look as they should. This really spark up our mind on how we should portray our UI in a user friendly manner.

Week 5

During week 5, we presented our activity on Canva which was assigned to us by our instructor in our new groups. There was no significant progress on our JunkHub project, but we did have a discussion about it. On Wednesday of the same week, we conducted a reporting activity related to our previous task, where we created a Canva presentation. Our topic focused on E-learning, and we discussed its features as well as the initial design we had prepared.

Week 4

Hello everyone!!

Here once again! So we had a quiz on this day and I don't know what to feel like I had a roller coaster of emotions. We did it on ustep and there are two parts. Part 1 is composed of multiple choice while part 2 is identification. I had a hard time on both of the parts but somehow I still pulled some points and probably I did well slightly I guess? Anyways that's all on our activities this week and just continued to update our systems.

Week 3

Good dayyy everyonersss!!

We were supposed to have a class on February 5, but Sir Carl had an urgent matter to attend to, so he assigned us activities instead. These tasks were due on February 7, along with Chapter 1 of our study manuscript, which was due on February 8. One of the tasks was creating an empathy map, which required us to pair up and interview each other. For the manuscript, we had to team up with our group members again to ensure we produced quality work and completed it on time. Despite facing some challenges, especially with balancing tasks from other subjects, we still enjoyed the process and managed to submit everything by the deadline.

It was an insightful activity that offered us many viewpoints.

Week 2

Hellooooo everyone!! so here after I got moved on section 2A in SDE, I got affiliated with Joebert, Reggie, Chidrick and Jeffrey which I'm already been acquainted with. They reached out on taking me in their group and I was grateful for it but I got so~so worried because the group is already full because we were instructed to form a group of 4 at most but fortunately our dear instructor considered it because it was the majority of numbers on also other groups. That took a whole detour so anyways, we presented our system idea to our instructor, which involved conducting interviews with junk shop owners. The concept focuses on creating a platform where junk shop owners can post their products and purchase items from customers who can also list their second-hand or recyclable materials such as plastic bottles, cans, and more. This system aims to streamline and simplify transactions between owners and customers. Fortunately, our proposal was approved, along with some suggested additional features to further improve the system, and we are now fully prepared to move forward!

Week 1

Good day everyone!!! I was first appointed on section 2D on the 1st week of our SDE subject which is handled by Sir Marcelino Yu and I've been in his care for a while. He gave me a brief overview over the topics that we are going to tackle on the subjects and made us brainstorm on the system that we have to create in order to earn and what so on that revolves around it. That's all for my SDE engagement this week and I'm looking forward on it.
