Magic that is only enabled when the creature isn’t being perceived

That’s what most of my fantasies were about when I was young

It made me believe that magic was real

But simply impossible to spot

When I started thinking that I could be magic

Yet simply being constantly perceived

I realized there was someone watching at all time

I didn’t get scared

But I begged it to look away

Allow me to be special

Else I have nothing
