Ryuu was frantically cleaving away at the larger opponents that were closing in on him and trying to back him into a corner before Tetsu arrived. As he heard the sirens of the Dekarangers arrival, Ryuu felt a little more at ease. However, as he turned to respond to his support, he saw the Dopant that Tetsu was facing preparing for a surprise attack on Tetsu’s flank.
“DekaBreak!” Ryuu exclaimed as he broke free from his predicament and made a dash for his ally.
ENGINE! MAXIMUM DRIVE!
Ryuu flipped back into his Rider form as the Dopant was sent reeling from his attack. Ryuu quickly drew the Engine Blade, and stood back to back with Tetsu.
“These Dopants are stronger than most. That attack should have shattered the Memory, but it didn’t. Be prepared for a fight, DekaBreak.”
The “A” Confrontation/The Symbol of Vengeance (Open Event Starter)
It was a calm day in the city of Fuuto. In front of a stage outside the Police Department’s office sat a crowd of people in semi-formal attire.
“Today we thank the Narumi Detective Agency and the Paranormal Crimes Division of Fuuto’s own Police Department for their continued efforts against the ever-present threat of Dopant-related crime in Fuuto city.” boomed the voice of the Chief Commissioner of Fuuuto’s Police Force over the speakers. “To represent these two organizations, their efforts, their cooperation with each other and Fuuto’s beloved heroes, the Kamen Riders…”
A round of applause rose from the crowd, and the Commissioner paused for a moment, and then resumed: “To represent the organizations we are gathered to thank today, I’d like to invite Superintendent of the Paranormal Crimes Division, Terui Ryu. And to represent the Narumi Detective Agency will be none other than Superintendent Terui’s wife, Narumi Akiko.”
Ryu and Akiko walked onto the stage, waving as their friends and family cheered at them from the crowd. Ryu, of course, had no formal clothing to speak of, and instead was wearing his black leather outfit, while Akiko was wearing one of her lovely dresses. Ryu looked down in the front row and saw Shotaro and Phillip taking care of his daughter for the time being. As they walked onto the stage, Ryu felt a wind that sent a chill down his spine; not the pleasant one that usually blew through Fuuto, but something more ominous. He elected to ignore it and took his place next to the commissioner.
“For continued service to the city of Fuuto, we present you both with Fuuto Golden Pinwheels!” Finished the Commissioner. He was handed approximately foot-tall gold-plated trophy/statues of Futo tower that had functional spinning blades. The commissioner handed the statues off to the husband-and-wife duo with a smile. He shook Ryu’s hand with a smile and a bow, which was reciprocated, but Akiko’s excitement was hard to hide.
From the crowd, suddenly, a high pitched electronic shriek came screeching forth from the back of the crowd. Everyone quickly began covering their ears, but Ryu could tell that the frequency was high enough to hurt people; some of the attendees’ ears were bleeding. He could hear his daughter crying and he saw Shotaro and Philip scrambling to keep her ears safe from the damage.
Suddenly, the noise stopped. A man in a suit stood up, holding the device that presumably had been emitting the noise. He put the device away and began clapping slowly. “So, this is what’s celebrated in the windy city of Fuuto. Surly policemen, giant pinwheels, and ‘heroes’ that won’t show their faces to their public. Sickening.”
“Who do you think you are, disrupting a peaceful gathering like this?” Ryu growled as he walked towards the edge of the stage.
“I am a man who seeks to show the world that those that bear the name ‘Kamen Rider’ are nothing but poison to the world.” came the reply. He reached into his coat pocket and withdrew a bright red Gaia Memory. He pressed the button to activate the device.
ACCEL!
Ryu’s blood ran cold upon hearing the name of the Memory. The man loosened his tie and tore open his dress shirt, revealing a Living Connector over his heart.
“My name is Doctor Goro Noroi. I am the Accel Dopant. Today I bring the home of the modern Kamen Rider to its knees.” Spat the doctor. As he spoke, he plunged his Memory into its Connector.
As the doctor’s body began to change and people began to panic, the entire back row of the crowd rose with him and started drawing Gaia Memories of their own. A cacophony of Memories started announcing their names. Ryu quickly realized the gravity of what was going on. Ryu quickly ran to his wife, handed her the Pinwheel and the keys to their car. He met eyes with hers and he began ushering her and everyone else off the stage.
“EVERYBODY EVACUATE! NOW!“ Ryu screamed once his wife and coworkers were off the stage and away from danger. He drew the Beetle Phone from his pocket and started yelling into it.
“This is Ryu Terui calling all Kamen Riders, Sentai Members, Space Sherriffs– any heroes in the area! Fuuto Police Department is under attack!”
Ryu plugged in the Beetle Memory and sent the gadget to get the message to his nearby allies. As people began to clear out, Ryuu found himself face to face with the Accel Dopant. It looked like a twisted version of his Kamen Rider form, with an Engine Blade for a right arm, and an engine built into its chest, pistons pumping like a heartbeat. The visor was a pitch black instead of a dark blue, and the silver accents all across the Dopants body looked sharp like a knife. Ryu swallowed nervously as he strapped on his Driver.

Ryu noticed her distant stance and tactic, and caught on quickly. If there was one thing Ryu could make someone do, it was make them run.
ENGINE! JET.
Ryu fired a bolt of energy at the Ganma’s foot. As the creature lept back, he fired another bolt at their other foot. As the Ganma looked up, Ryu began dragging the Engine Blade along the ground, sparks leaping from the asphalt.
Ryu gripped the handle of his Driver and began revving, causing heat to emanate from his armor as the power of the Gaia Memory surged into his armor.

“Always.” Ryu replies with a sly grin. He grasps the female Rider’s hand and pulls himslef up. He grabs his Driver and prepares himself for a battle.
Ryu drew out the Engine Blade and immediatley pulled the trigger.
STEAM!
Ryu sprayed area behind the officer, assaulting the Ganma with a burst of hot vapor in order to startle the creature into revealing itself to human eyes.
“Alright. We’ve got bigger fish to fry today so...let’s break through!”

Ryuu opened up his Beetle Phone and began watching the live feed from the Bat Shot. As it began to get deeper into the tunnel it observed less evidence of the Ganma’s presence, as if it had begun to stop to rest or stabilize as it entered the darkness. There’s evidence of recent non-volatile activity - dust where a foot may have chipped the concrete, a crumpled can, so on.
“It looks as if they were in there recently. But without other gadgets or a more specialized memory, the Bat Shot isn’t designed to see invisible opponents.”
Ryu feels a tap on his shoulder and turns to see the rookie cop that stopped them earlier. His expression is blank and serious.
“What’s the problem, Officer?” Ryu questions
“Inspector Jinno asked me to tell you to head back to the station. There’s been some developments in the case.” Replied the young officer.
“Jinno has my contact information if it’s urgent.” Ryu scoffed. He began to walk away before he felt a sudden grip on his wrist. He looked back at the officer. “Let go of me!”
“I really do suggest that you let this one go, Detective.” came the words in a low almost unnatural gurgle from the officer. He flipped Ryu onto his back in a quick, animalistic movement.

Ryu crouched down and looked towards the tunnel in the distance. He withdrew a small digital camera and Pseudo Memory from his coat pocket. He looked around as he began inserting the Pseudo Memory into the Bat Shot.
“If they’re still in there, we’ll find out by the time the elevator reaches the bottom of the tower. Borrowed this from my wife this morning.”
BAT.
Ryu tossed the small camera into the air and, after it had shifted into Bat Mode, pointed at the tunnel in question. “Go check it out for me, little guy.”

“O-of course, ma’am! Sir! Go right ahead!” The rookie cop stammers as he slides his keycard through the door’s scanner and opens it.
Ryu takes his ID back and pats the young man on the back as he passes. He shows Ryu to the elevator that will take them to the top of the tower. He begins explaining as they get onto the elevator.
“Kirihiko’s memorial is on the top of the tower, by his favorite view of the city. It got set up after Museum organized his death, and then rebuilt after the tower’s destruction. The handkerchief that is missing was Kirihiko’s signature item that he kept on his person at all times. Gaia Memory buyers always recalled the dealer with the “red-spotted ascot”. It was the only physical remains they ever found when he died. Shotaro Hidari, one of my old partners, made sure to find it again after the tower was destroyed by NEVER. If anything retained enough of Kirihiko to pass power onto the Ganma, it would be that handkercheif.”
They reached the top of the tower and the balcony that lead out from the elevator to the memorial was taped off, with black scars from energy on the ground nearby. Ryu flashed his ID again as they approached the scene.

"You got a kid, congrats!"
“Thank you. Haruna is a joy in the Chief and I’s life. It certainly was a surprise though. We were worried. With Dopants, Roidmudes, and everything else we’ve seen, we were worried. But...There’s not enough words in the world, not enough wind in Fuuto to describe the amount of joy that little girl brings me and the Chief.”

Not a moment after Angela had finished gearing up, an irritated yell came from the entrance of the tower.
“What do you mean you aren’t going to let me in?” Came Ryuu’s thundering voice.
“Sir this area is closed off to the public due to suspicious activity we can’t let anyone in. Direct orders from Detective Jinno!” came the timid voice of one of the police officers at the door.
“And who do you think gave him those orders?” Ryu growled, thrusting his badge back into the man’s hands.
The man meekly looked at Ryu’s badge and ID a little closer and almost dropped it in a panic. “S-Superintendent Terui! I’m sorry! It’s my first day on the streets! I didn’t know it was you!”
Ryu rolled his eyes. “I’ll be taking a friend up to the investigation sights with me. You need to learn to inspect things better, rookie.”

Ryuu took the PKE scanner in hand and watched the device’s ar,s tic up and down slightly. He quirked an eyebrow at it but knew by now not to ask questions.
“Meet me at Fuuto Tower. It’ll be less of a hassle for us to get in with my police credentials.” Ryuu said as he wrote down the address for Andrea to look up later. Ryuu then let out a deep sigh.
“After the NEVER incident, the tower’s prominence as a tourist spot got hit hard. It didn’t help that, not long after repairs finished, they announced a constant security beat to survey the area around the tower and check ID at the door. It was a safety measure to make sure no evildoers set up shop there again. but for a symbol of hope to be regulated like that earned a lot of scorn.”

“The trouble with otherworldly or artificial beings who posess Gaia Memory abilities is you have to usually break the memory first. Which presents a problem in this case; based on what little I could find about Ganma, there is no memory to break in this case.” Ryuu grumbled.
The detective smiled as she pulled her Eyecon. “I had a feeling you weren’t just a ‘buster’. Ganma don’t go down without a fight from what I hear.”
Ryuu scratched behind his ear. “It shouldn’t be too far from Fuuto...except...”
The detective frowned. “One of the Nazca Dopant’s powers was superspeed. If the Ganma inherits that from Kirihiko’s spirit, it could be pretty far from its point of origin.“

“ If you know who they are then you know that the Kamen Riders of Fuuto took them down. Which is true. My old partners, Shotaro Hidari, Philip, and I were the ones who took down Museum’s heads a few years ago.” Ryu explained. “Don’t let my trust in you be misplaced, Miss Zeddmore.”
Ryuu opens the file and places a picture of a Fuuto Tower on the table, and then a picture of Kirihiko Sudo.
“Before I came to Fuuto, when it was just Kamen Rider W solving Dopant cases, a Gaia Memory dealer named Kirihiko Sudo gained the powers of the Nazca Memory.” Ryuu explains as he places the picture of the Nazca dopant over Kirihiko’s portrait.
“However, Kirihiko was actually a generally kindhearted man who loved Fuuto and wanted to see it prosper. He was under the impression Museum was going to use the profits from their nefarious activities to help the city, not help themselves. When he found out some of their more...sinister plans, he decided to help W. He was assassinated shortly after.” Ryuu takes out a picture of Kirihiko’s memorial.
He takes out another picture of the memorial, but this time his signature red-spotted ascot is missing. “Tell me why this picture is concerning in relation to why I’m here.”

Ryu nods his head, smiling softly as he follows her inside. He sits down and places the file on the closest table.
“Ms. Zeddemore I’m going to make myself clear and not going to present anything under false pretenses. I came to you specifically because I knew you knew how to deal with things of a supernatural nature. I looked into your background and you are a very intelligent woman. So I won’t treat you like anything less.”
Ryuu reaches into his pocket and draws out the small, red flash drive that he keeps on his person at all times.
ACCEL!
He puts the Gaia Memory back in his pocket, his face dead serious. “What does the name ‘Museum’ mean to you?”

Ryuu nods as he hops onto the bike, straps on his helmet, and speeds off towards the girl’s home. He arrives and parks his bike, kicking up the kickstand forcefully.
He notices his own force and consciously begins to calm himself; the situation might be concerning, but that’s never stopped him from solving things before. He reaches into the saddlebags on his bike, walks up the walkway, and knocks on the door quietly,

Ryuu smirked a bit at the rookie’s flustered behavior. It brought back memories of his early days with Shotaro and Philip.
“I have no intentions of disrupting your business, Ma’am.” Ryuu said politely, his voice gaining a gentler tone as his assessment of her shifted more towards “Friend”.
Ryuu makes a nod towards the bright red motorcycle parked near her car; Ryuu’s prized Diablossa.
“That’s my ride. If you’d be so kind as to show me back to your base, where you keep these things...you know discussing things about Ganma in public isn’t exactly the best idea.”
Ghosts of Museum (dont-ask-me-questions)
12 AM, Fuuto City
The portal opens atop the tower. Several creatures float out of the portal and possess the nearest items they can find. Pinwheels, small fans, and the last thing being a small monument, a shrine to someone who died upon this tower.
Though the other two have fairly simple forms, the third creature takes on a much more frightening form. Ancient human glyphs, vestigal wings and pulsating energy form the new body.
“Such power in one fallen human. Who could it have been?” The Ganma descend from the tower, following a trail of energy similar to what they encountered on the tower.
As they pass an alleyway, they hear a voice from one of the pathetic humans. “NAZCA!” they say as they back away in terror.
At least now, this power has a name. Intriguing. Time to find more. Their ruler will want to know more.
–
It’s supposed to be a simple extermination. A businessman is spreading a restaurant into a new location, and it has a few spectral squatters. Nothing above a Class 2.
Angela has her gauntlet primed, and is currently wrangling a spirit towards the ghost trap. But it would seem that someone considered her business a threat and has called the police.
But this is the first time she’s seen a detective in red leather. If he looks strange to her, she must look stranger. An American woman, dragging a disembodied presence to a circular trap on the ground with a gauntlet. To anyone else, this would look strange.
“Um, hello. Can I help you?” She asks in English, then switches to Japanese to ask it again.
